I live here in DC it’s the stadium and so much more but the main concept is that Snyder was all about exploiting a fan base rabid for their team to the point of destroying a lot of what was good. People that had generations of passed down season tickets said screw this because it just was terrible experience at the game and the longest tenured fans felt mistreated in and out of the stadium. The team not being great isn’t the problem, but the team just doesn’t provide anything for the next generation of fans. I don’t want the Bills making any mistakes even close to that.

PSLs are fan exploitation pure and simple and I think they will be a flaming failure in Buffalo. The fan atmosphere makes Buffalo games what they are and if they go to PSLs they’ll get the same bland, stale, and over-commercialized experience where even your urinal greats you with sponsorship. They always depreciate in value and leave with a hard choice if you aren’t interested in going anymore. The value of the Bills is their fan base, and the passion on gamedays. I know people sometimes wish for a more family friendly experience but that’s not what it is and if you think ruining the experience with higher costs and a stale experience is good for family outings at an NFL game…oh boy. Great now everyone can go and no one will be satisfied and they’ll have drained you of significant funds for something that was free and better on TV because the atmosphere sucks like most NFL games around the league. Honestly, it’s amazing stadiums are as full as they are but much of it is do to these PSLs and how they know they have people over a barrel for years and they don’t have to worry about the game day experience. Washington is a perfect example of how to ruin a great fan base by milking the life out of it.

I think they see Bernard as a guy they can run as the 3rd linebacker and as a third down specialist who they can blitz, have cover, or spy. I think he gets plenty of snaps if he picks up the scheme. He seems like a guy that fits what the Bills' philosophy on D is. Cook is an interesting pick and might be a better all around back than Singletary or Moss. Definitely a better receiver. I don't think they are going to resign Singletary or Moss to second contracts. I liked Damien Pierce a lot better than Cook, but Cook was the feature back for the National Champions and is a little shiftier and more fluid in the passing game than Pierce. I just liked the physicality of Pierce because I think its wise to get someone to take the tough yardage carries so Josh doesn't take a beating in those situations.

Sauce needs to get in the weight room if he doesn't want to look like a fool against NFL WRs. His nickname might become "Toast" Gardner.

At some point they have to get some guys on the OL to make sure they get better. I know Kromer is a better coach than they've had under McD, but Morse is going to retire soon and the OL was a big issue last year.

Seems like a very specific fit that they want in certain passing down packages. I don't hate this pick, even though I don't know much about him. I still don't know why the Bills aren't trying to get more physical on both sides of the ball. The picks are all fine, but seems like they probably had a WR that they were hoping to get and then there was a run on them right before they picked. I'm still scratching my head about letting Jermaine Johnson go - I thought for sure that was why they moved up. Miller, Rousseau, Johnson, Hughes - that would have been an impressive rotation of DEs.

Good points, and I fully recognize coaching/roster was terrible. I remember laughing when O’Brien won the power struggle with full control and saying to myself this isn’t going to end well for the Texans. Speaking of the Texans they have to be looking at QB in this draft, who do you see them potentially going after?

The 4-12 season where the Texans were a mess did bring some things into question. If you have a QB that is as good as he is supposed to be, you still likely make it a lot closer to .500 ball. I know that you can't put that all on him and O'Brien was a disaster for that franchise, turning a promise team into a bottom feeder. That's the question for me. Yes he had a big playoff win against the Bills, but chances are the Bills win that game with a different call on Cody Ford. Not trying to crap on him as a player because I'm not saying he isn't good, but I haven't really seen anything that supports the haul the Texans got and contract the Browns gave him. His last season had a lot of garbage time yards and TDs, and the last one he didn't play. He also had Hopkins who is just an incredible player and I'm not sure he's going to have the same success without a talent like that catching passes, and I don't think Cleveland fans are going to be forgiving if he struggles. Seems like a lot of pressure and not a lot of wiggle room for the way this all has played out up to now. I think a lot of has changed in the trajectories of the young QBs since then, with Allen and Mahomes clearly the class above the rest of the younger guys. Brady, Rodgers, and Stafford are the old guard. I don't think you can put Watson above any of those 5 guys, then you have Burrow, Herbert, R. Wilson, L. Jackson, and Prescott who you could argue are better than Watson. Not saying they are or aren't but certainly debatable, and given the baggage I'd take any of them in a heartbeat over Watson.

It really makes you wonder how a guy like Mayfield is still waiting to be traded, because he certainly has the skills at QB to be a decent placeholder at worst for some of these teams. You really have to wonder how much of it is Mayfield and how much of it is the Browns wanting to too much and not really having the best hand to get what they are asking. I know some people think Watson is a really talented QB. I think he is good, but not great and I wouldn't want him with all of that stuff out there hanging on him. To go out and get him and do what they did, there has to be some combination of Mayfield is not a good locker room presence and the Browns just continue to mishandle things.

Another bad fit as well. I think the Giants make sense, but not sure that would be a good pick for them that high. Teams with need at QB would be unwise to pin their hopes on this class. I wouldn’t be surprised to see QBs sliding out of the first round that were projected 1st rounders. It’s a weird draft and I’m not sure it’s a great year to have a high first round pick value wise. I think ND safety may be best player in draft.

I hope you’re kidding. I saw him play against Cincinnati and he was not competent. He’ll be fighting for a roster spot for as long as his NFL career lasts and that may not be long. This is a bad class of QBs. Malik Willis is probably the best and could be effective in a Greg Roman style offense. I see the Panthers reaching for him early and Rhule’s offensive philosophy is just not a good fit. As a QB prospect you don’t want to go there bc you know Rhule is on the hot seat and likely you are looking at a new regime next year. You might also get yanked around or forced into a bad situation as coach does desperate things to keep job.

Trust me when I say that you wouldn’t like Elam if you were a fan of the team he plays for. I’m a Gator alum and he is a terrible tackler, and willingness isn’t the concern part it’s his positioning and lack of ability to track in the open field where tackling can be the difference between 5 yards and a TD.

Mac Jones is a limited QB in physical attributes, but he played pretty well for a rookie. Thing is, I don't know how much better he can be. I feel like he is going to be a capable starter because he is not flustered in the pocket and makes good accurate throws, but I don't really see him taking a huge step forward from his rookie year. The Pats could have done much worse with a QB pick, and he was an improvement over Cam Newton by a mile. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are in their own stratosphere of talent, though. Yes the old dogs of Brady and Rodgers are still impressive as hell, but any GM in the league would take Allen or Mahomes if they could pick any QB in the league to put on their team. There is a tier below with Burrow, Brady, Rodgers, Russel Wilson, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Herbert. You could throw Matt Stafford in there as well I suppose. But then there are the rest IMO - guys who are decent, but are going to hold you back as much as they push you forward. Some are definitely better than others, and an argument can be made for guys like Carr, Watson, Ryan, Murray, and a few others, being a notch above the pack as well, but I don't trust any of that group to be consistent enough. Mac Jones isn't even in that group IMO.

I also have no idea why people are so high on K. Elam CB Florida - an awful tackler and frequently loses coverage. The Florida Defensive staff was awful at coaching but good at recruiting so maybe it’s based on potential, but I just don’t see it and I watched every game of his career. That’s a player I hope that they do not draft. Honestly the entire secondary this year was laughably bad in comparison to it being a historically strong group. Watch the Alabama or LSU games as examples. Jeremiah Moon may be the only player worth drafting and he is probably a late round pick due to being a questionable NFL edge rusher or odd fit at LB that doesn’t seem to diagnose plays quick enough. Stingley or Woolen are the CBs I like the most but no way Bills get Stingley without moving up and I don’t think it would be worth the cost.

220 - Florida really had a stacked backfield so he doesn’t have a ton of mileage but averaged 5.7 yds a carry and was used as their short yardage back. One of my favorite rbs I’ve seen at Florida since the early 90s (up there with Fred Taylor and Earnest Graham). The offense was just better with him on the field whether he got the ball or not.

Tariq Woolen CB UTSA 6’4”, 4.26 40 time - could be a steal but will take some coaching and development, but has good hands and ball tracking ability as a converted wr Dameon Pierce RB Florida 5’11”, 4.59 40 time, 13 rushing TDs, physical freak that benches 390 and squats 705 - excellent goal line/short yardage back that is also an excellent pass blocker and receiver; a punishing runner that would give Bills a physicality needed at the position

Integrity is worth it and you’ll not make a fool of yourself by compromising it. He should’ve quit if he wasn’t on board, plain and simple, bc it is likely the reason he hasn’t had an NFL FO job since. He ended up an ex-employee anyway and you have to be strong and willing to step out if you don’t agree with the organization. You can still do it with dignity, and preserve your career. Being complicit seems to have been his MO and we can make all the excuses in the world for what held him back, but let’s be real he was part of the problem.

Too many go in with these preconceived approaches and just plug it all game rather than being in the moment of the game, or just overemphasize a player saying their name hundreds of times a game (e.g., Drew Brees or Brady). Some just focus on mistakes. All of those approaches miss the mark for me. Madden was great because he knew to shut up sometimes or just focus on something unique or positive in the moment of the game. Romo is good because he sees the game and is great at providing insight into the QB’s options and the formation strengths and he is sincerely likable in his approach by not being a smug jock.

Hill could be a headache that doesn’t like the QB situation or the lack of touches if things don’t go as expected. I think it could be expensive trouble for the Dolphins in the grand scheme. We’ll see how it unfolds.

Watkins was such a bad pick and that was a really deep draft at WR. Trading up to get a WR in that draft was a perfect example of their incompetence in the FO at that time. They were so bad at drafting offense in those years.

Meyer is an egomaniac that commands respect to young kids looking to make the NFL but doesn’t have the skills to be successful in the NFL. I even think he was successful in influencing the pro game with his offenses before ever coaching in the NFL, and he is a great college coach. He’s not a good person by several accounts but there are plenty of programs that would hire him in a hot second. I don’t like him but I respect his success in college. Since leaving Florida the program has been meandering and I hate how he left feigning health issues because the rumor is he had really rubbed some big time boosters the wrong way by some affair scandal (also apparently he and his wife have open marriage/swingers). I don’t really care about what people do or how they live but I do respect integrity and sincerity and I think he lacks both.

Read the article and as I pointed out earlier they tried forcing the ball to him on the ensuing possession after his tirade and it was picked off. It changed the tenor of the game. I watched the game with a good friend of mine who is a Seahawks fan and it was very memorable- yeah Metcalf scored on a long TD later that quarter but the Seahawks offense lost any rhythm it had and was out of synch most of the second half until garbage time. You can believe me or not but I know what I saw and I’m just saying I’m not all that impressed with the mental/emotional aspect of his game - young player and immensely talented, though. I also think any trade for him is basically a one year rental unless you aren’t considering diggs a long term Bill. Chances are pretty low he is a Bill so either way nothing to get too excited about.

My point in sharing that is that in a playoff game he was a huge distraction that hurt his team. Diggs was a guy who had an incredible play to win a playoff game. Did Diggs get disgruntled in Minnesota? Yeah, but he never hurt his team when it mattered most to be a pouty baby and I don’t think he ever lowered his effort on the field. I think Metcalf is a beast and could be incredible if his commitment to the team is there but you see guys come unhinged and it just brings up some serious questions about him being a good fit on any team. I’d love the Bills to get a player that physically gifted but does a guy that is willing to do that in a playoff game put the Bills over the hump? If they did get Metcalf I’d still be excited but I’d be concerned about the chemistry.
