  1. Like it a lot. In the 5th round this is worth the risk. Only question I have is who's the odd man out? Peterman, Jones, and Yates, someone's gotta go.
  2. Gross. Not feeling this pick at all.
  3. This is a breath of fresh air for sure. Like MC and previous posts have eluded to, it's important to have those guys week in and week out that our team can look to. No more Ik Enemkpali type players being captains because they slugged the opposing teams QB.
  4. I hope he's lying. We obviously need help at CB but the only worth the 10th pick probably won't make it to the 10th pick. I really hope we don't go out and overdraft a CB because that's what McDermott wants. Lattimore is the only CB that would be worth the pick, IMO. I sincerely hope we take either of the two WRs or Howard.
  5. Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm completely rooting for him. I would love to see him make a comeback and get back into the league. The kid has too much talent for what he's given the NFL to this point.
  6. Absolutely. Lattimore would probably be the best player we could draft, but very unlikely. I still wouldn't be upset if we took one of the two WRs but I just don't see them doing that at this point. With Hooker, Adams, and Lattimore off the board there isn't a DB worth taking at 10 (maybe Peppers?). The other player I would love at 10 is Foster but he probably won't make it past the Bengals. That coupled with the increased unlikelyhood of WR at 10 probably leaves our best option to trade down like you suggested. If we could move down 7-9 spots and still get a CB and pick up another 2nd round pick then that's the route I would probably go too. Just depends on how the board falls that night.
  7. Biggest holes in order I would say are: CB, WR, and LB. Without a doubt my biggest concern is our secondary. The only CB I would want at 10 is Lattimore and it's unlikely he lasts that far, don't like Humphrey. I still think we need a legit number 2 WR, however with signing Holmes it may make it more unlikely we draft one early. Before Holmes signed I had my heart set on Davis at #10. Lastly I think we could still stand to upgrade LB. I've never been a big fan of Preston, Ragland is still a question mark, and I'm optimistic yet skeptical of how well Lorenzo translates to the new scheme. Still hoping for Zach Brown to come back.
  8. Appears this could be a solid signing and upgrade from Hunter. I just hope he is more useful than Hunter was throughout the entire field and not just the redzone, hopefully he uses his size better too.
  9. Tough. I'd much rather go with one of the WRs in the 1st, particularly Davis. On the other hand, I like Mahomes over Peterman. Overall, I say scenario 2, mostly due to wanting one of the two WRs at 10.
  10. That's a fair assessment. I'm all for bringing in guys who have their own unique skill set and who can add a different dimension to the team. The way I initially looked at this was to possibly be the number 2 and or potentially be someone they want to carry the rock. Bringing him in for the role you described would be fine, just as long as that's where it ends. Even with this being his potential role, wouldn't you still think there are better options though?
  11. C'mon. I know we don't have boat loads of cap room right now but look at his stats. He's 28 yrs old and in 5 NFL seasons has 84 career rushing yards and 0 rushing TDs. I get he's a "pass catching running back" and therefore has decent receiving numbers but there has got to be better options out there.
  12. I wish we'd look into trying to bring Victor Cruz in. Obviously not the same guy he was 2-3 years ago but I think he could still contribute. Even if we were to go WR at 10, having him as a number 3 could be beneficial for us.
  13. No hard feelings toward Bob Woods at all. Nothing but class for 4 years, someone I'll continue to root for. Good luck to him.
  14. I'll admit, I was in favor of moving on at taking Watson or Mitch. I've just never been overly impressed with Tyrod as a passe. However, lack of better options and no guarantee we get our guy in the draft may have made this the right option. I sincerely hope he proves me wrong.
