Bills GM Brandon Beane 'annoyed' by tanking talk
cba fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then could also bring in Branden Albert at LT, before he retires again, to play if Glenn is out. ?? yes? -
Bold prediction : Tyrod will get traded if...
cba fan replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they start Peterman with this atrocious pass blocking OL he will be killed on the field by the 4th game. That will kill his development. C Jones looked better than Peterman in the first game he played in preseason also. -
Eagles Release RB Ryan Matthews

So Bills have signed him already? -
Still playoff caliber team if 1 thing doesn't happen
cba fan replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes everyone seems to not understand when TT starts dancing and then escaping the pocket then rolling out and running up to the line, most of that additional time is counted and increases his time holding ball to league high levels. Most other QB's get the ball out early as that is a league wide solution to the build up of NFL D's focused on rushing the QB. If no wr is open or pressure is fast, other QB's not named Tyrod are throwing the ball away and not spending 2 more seconds scrambling and giving appearance he has all day to throw when that adds to his time holding ball. -
Peter King: Darby Hadn't Bought Into New Bills' Regime
cba fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will go with direct quotes from Watkins on this. He said: "I love Buffalo, I want to be here for the rest of my career" https://www.news-press.com/story/sports/2017/07/29/buffalo-bills-sammy-watkins-healed-happy-motivated/521595001/ http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/07/what_buffalo_bills_wr_sammy_watkins_had_to_say_about_his_foot_injury_contract.html http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000822817/article/sammy-watkins-my-goal-is-to-stay-in-buffalo-forever Beans on the other hand says one thing and does the other. Just like McDerma. -
Peter King: Darby Hadn't Bought Into New Bills' Regime
cba fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does not feel to them they are bumbling around??? Beane himself said he was not shopping them and teams approached Bills. McDerma then was surprised to get info on these pending deals right after the thurs night game and did not sleep all night trying to digest it. Sounds like Fred and Barney out for a night on the town to me. -
Big problem for Bills is historically they can not, or will not, sign the rookies to 2nd contracts. Even good rookies. This sets up a mass exodus when the 10 or 20 draft picks(or # they end up w after trading everyone this yr) are all on same page, contract yr wise, after all these picks are used in 2018.
-
Driving force is clearly any team who calls and expresses interest in elite young talented players who previously to this contact Bills were not shopping and planned on keeping and building a winning team around. I wonder what Beane is going to do when Jets call offering a high 2018 draft pick for McDerma to be their DC?? This team FO continues to be a cluster****. Trying to fiqure out who is in charge is like the Abbott ansd Costello "who's on third skit"

LA Times EJ Gaines Article 7/31

Alas?? Are you French or English or something. LOL -
For future ref., can anyone find Bills trade up that worked?
cba fan replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did not trade up for him. They received that 1st round pick for Jason Peters. And it was after the Bills 1st round pick at 11 for Maybin. Now I am confused what a real trade up actually is. As Bills made a first round pick 13 in 2004 Lee Evans and then traded back into 1st round to pick 22 JP Losman. Trade up? or Trade back into round 1?? Trade up I guess so you are right.?? -
Knee jerk reaction that losing Sammy is bad for TT?
cba fan replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Sounds like what Rex did with the Jim Schwartz D. -
McD and Beane/ Do you trust them?
cba fan replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably not unless he has a breakout 2017. If you still do not want to pay him then you tag and trade. Teams would have lined up after this 2017. Instead he was traded for beans. -
Anyone else afraid of next years draft?
cba fan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have faith in the tank. -
Yes then trade the promising CB half way through his affordable rookie deal for a container of cotton candy.

I see how you would try to make the connection there about it being a trade-up, however, does not quite meet the criteria. IE: a true trade up is acquiring the pick and then making the pick. Not letting some other team set the draft pick spot value of the player by making the pick first. EX: if Bills had traded up with Colts for the pick that Colts choose Bennet with, there is no way of knowing that Bills would have picked Bennet. They may have had other players graded higher and picked one of them instead. Bills only got interested after draft when it became clear Colts could not sign him. another ex: No one refers to Eli Manning and P Rivers swap a draft trade up. It was just a trade because both players were the property of a team at that time. Just my opinion. -
Serious question: Is this the beginning of a tank?
cba fan replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And they had as all fooled when we thought Bills cut Robey-Coleman because he was too small. Now Robey is in LA probably taking Gaines roster spot. -
Player reactions: common theme emerges

Holy crap this sounds like guys professing their loyalty to Saddam Hussein when he entered the Iraq congress with a pistol and had pols walked out one by one. -
Go on record regarding the trades
cba fan replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am on record I hate both trades. This season is over. -
McD and Beane/ Do you trust them?
cba fan replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is beyond comprehension. Makes no sense in anyones world. McDerma and Beane can just go **** themselves. Great tank job setup. I hate all of you. McCoy is probably next if he does not walk out on his own. Boldin probably trying to rescind his deal. This place is a full blown dumpster fire now. Bring back Whaley and let him hire a coach. I trust him. -
We should have kept Jones and traded Yates
cba fan replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because Bills have unceremoniously ridded themselves of many Whaley/Rex picks/signings since McDictator took full control. WR Marcus Easley, WR Kolby Listenbee, QB C Jones, TE Gerald Christian, K Dan Carpenter, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, LS Garrison Sanborn, S Phillip Thomas, S Aaron Williams, S Corey Graham, no match RB Mike Gillislee, OT Cyrus Kouandjio, QB Josh Woodrum, CB Jonathan Dowling, TE Blake Annen, C Patrick Lewis. Very little difference in the Whaley/Rex guys they dumped vs the new guys they signed as replacements. Virtually all would be depth players so one can only surmise they were dumped, in part but not 100% for, because they wanted Whaley/Rex guys out and their guys in. And they are not done yet. -

Never take a 2 yr old to an adult event. Just recently an idiot brought her infant to a r rated late show in my hometown. "Dunkirk" . No ear protection. Baby cried a lot. Drowned out mostly by the loud sounds from the movie. -

Don't trade from a position of weakness. Dumb to not let him recover first and show what he has. -
As a die hard Bills fan what are some of the sacrifices.
cba fan replied to Cherrybone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That sounds like me. I made it clear with all GF's and spouse Bills games times is mine. Mets are on all the time on internet so I do her things unless it is playoffs. I don't even need waivers for funerals or weddings as they don't happen on Sun, Sun night, Mon night, Thurs night. I would of course miss games for birth of my child or some unforeseen health emergency of course. Bills take about 48 hours or so a year to watch 16 games x 3 hrs.. So yeah I think I can manage to pull myself away from other endeavors to find that meager time to at least watch the games. -
Why not Reggie? Wikpedia: In 2002, McKenzie was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.[11] He was also inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1994. He was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. [12] On November 22, 2016, McKenzie was won the Big Ten's Ford-Kinnick Leadership Award.[13]
