I get your frustrations and angle but....... No no no and no They are paid to appear just like any entertainer. If they fail expectations they then do not get a next contract or it is reduced. People continually want to break down athletes salary into stat increments. So much a yard, so much a carry, so much a TD etc etc...... It does not work that way for entertainers. You pay them a contract to appear and perform/entertain. In NFL case for a season. Movie stars for a movie. Singers for a 1 off concert or extended show engagements like Vegas did with Celine Dion or Cher. You never hear anyone say Tom Cruise got paid $71.53 for each word he spoke in said movie. Or Cher got paid $19,473.00 for ea song ea night she sang at her casino resident show in Vegas. She was not getting pd more if she encored and played a couple extra one night or cut it short one song because her throat was killing her. And certainly you never hear anyone expecting a refund if the show was performed yet they were not as entertaining as they expected. You just don't go next time.

He never steps down flat footed, and toes slide out of bounds. The whole foot does not need to get in bounds. That only comes into play when a player steps straight down like a normal step walking, and contacts heel first then toes come down flat. For some reason then NFL considers that out of bounds if heel is in but flat footed toes are out. It was reversed in Bills favor in MN Super Bowl vs Wash on end line in end zone negating a Wash TD. You could argue if heel touches down first then completing the step flat footed with toes out could still be legal catch but NFL has set precedence for that and they say Out of bounds. If you are going to argue Eagles needed whole foot to be inbounds you are wrong. He never steps flat he slides his toes and that is all he needs to do. Just when he gets full control in left arm after changing ball position his right foot is down, he then drags his left toes inbounds and maintains control in left arm before his toes reach the white. He does not need to be on the line. All players line up a yard back on hip of center. He needs to cover the offensive lineman on the end of the line. All OL line up about a yard back from the ball with head centered on the hip of the center. That is considered legal. The WR in this case asked the ref two times if he was on the line and got the thumbs up ea time, so he was legal. If he then moved up a half or 1 yard he risked an off sides flag as ref just told him 2x from his vantage point he was on LOS.

Butler was screwed by the Pats last year when they advised they told him they would not give big money for above avg corners. Then turned around and signed Gilmore and turned the screws on Butler by placing the 1st round tender on him forcing him to be a Pat. Pats don't care about feelings. You would have until July to negotiate a long term deal. If Skins franchise him they must keep 34 mill or what ever it is available on there salary cap. If Cousins signs the tender the 34 mill is on Redskins cap unless they trade him. If they cut him they still are hit. If they franchise him they would not be able to complete the Smith trade and new contract until they cut or trade a bunch of other guys. KC needs the cap relief now mar 14 as they are over the cap. Skins likely would have to rescind the franchise tag or be in a complete mess if Cousins signs the tender and then refuse to play trade salary contract ball with new team.
