  1. Yes they were both 1st round picks. But since EJ was a part of a 3 pick package EJ cost much less than a first round pick. for the 8th pick Bills received EJ KiKo and Gragg. for the 15th pick Saints received K Vaccaro. what is greater 3 or 1 ? ?? Kenny Vaccaro was not part of a trade so he cost 100% of a #15 1st round pick. EJ only cost a portion of his draft positon.
  2. Pick 8 was traded for pick 16 46 and 222. Therefor pick 16 was worth less than a first round pick if you want to try and assign value for that 1/3 of the package when evaluating the trade and the pick.
  3. pick#16 was part of package of, pick 16, pick 46, and pick 222, 3 players, EJ, Kiko, and Gragg, were picked with pick #8 Can not separate them for assigning value now as they are intertwined due to trade. Pick#8 is worth pick#16, 46, 222.(that is why they assign point values for every draft pick in every round) pick 16 is now inside a package of picks 16,46,222. If you must assign a value it would be approx. 70% pick 16, 25% pick 46 , and 5% pick 222. That is why cost of EJ at pick 16 cost less than a 1st round pick.
  4. 3 players, EJ, Kiko, and Gragg, were picked with pick #8.
  5. No this is not accurate. EJ did not cost Bills the 16th pick. The 16th pick is a package of 16th pick in 1st round and and the Kiko pick and the Gragg pick. Bills got EJ, Kiko, and Gragg, for the 8th pick. If Bills stood pat and drafted EJ at pick 8 then yes he only cost pick 8. Since they multiplied the value of pick 8 into 3 picks the cost of EJ is spread out over the 3 picks. EX: I have a house for sale for 100k, someone buys it for 100k. It cost the new buyer 100k for that house. To sweeten the deal I toss in my like new truck worth 25k and my John Deere lawn tractor worth 5k. That house now did not put him out 100k. He is only out 70k. Which is less than the 100k which is on the deed that the city assessor says he paid for it. EX: I buy a box of laundry detergent for $20 and get 2nd box free on promo sale. The first box cost less than $20 as i get 2nd box also. Even though receipt says I pd $20 for that first box. EX: Carolina Panthers are selling for approx. 2 billion. Reports are this includes ownership of stadium. The franchise then does not cost 2 billion. It must be broken down to a split between franchise and stadium.
  6. I know I am out there with this thinking and I understand if you or anyone else think I am bat **** crazy but stay with me for a sec. They got EJ, Kiko, and Gragg, for Bills original first round draft pick that year, #8 1st round. So EJ did not cost a 1st round pick as they got 3 players instead of one. For Bills original 8th pick they got EJ, Kiko, and Gragg.
  7. sorry fixed the woods mistake. It was Kiko Alonso not Eric Wood. He cost less than a 1st because they got EJ, Kiko Alonso, and Gragg, for their 1st round pick. If they did not do the trade they would have just had EJ. So EJ effectively cost less than a 1st as Bills multiplied its value by the trade returns.
  8. To be fair. One is only one. How long could it last? So if they would have used something like "It starts with 89,905" it would still be on.
  9. You know Incognito committed to playing in 2018 before he went off the rails. We just misconstrued what he meant by the term "playing" at the time of his tweets. If that is not a sign of some weird scientology-esqu Howard Hughes type living in an abandoned mansion/hotel watching movies type ****, nothing does. Bat **** crazy concussed brain is failing. http://people.com/sports/tom-brady-gisele-camel-riding/
  10. If Bills had just used a first round pick for EJ then Bills would have spent ONE 1st round pick to get EJ and would only have EJ. Instead they traded back by giving up ONE Bills 1st round pick in exchange for ONE 1st round pick later in round 1, ONE pick in 2nd round, ONE pick in 7th round. They then picked EJ with the later pick in 1st, center Eric Wood in 2nd, TE Gragg in 7th. This means EJ did not cost Bills a first round pick because they received a 2nd and a 7th for trading back. Meaning he cost less than a 1st round pick.(as an added bonus his contract was significantly reduced due to being picked later in round)(in fact that savings likely paid for most/all of Eric Woods deal) If they stayed with original pick they would only have had EJ to show for that pick. Since they traded back they had EJ, E Wood, and Gragg, to show for that 1st round pick. I know it is semantics and hard to wrap our head around but in reality by trading back and acquiring more players EJ cost less than a single first round pick. Both on draft capital and player salaries. Update: my error. Kiko Alonso was the pick not Eric Wood.
  11. I heard gronk wears a protective helmet all the time to prevent brain damage.........ohh wait...nevermind.
  12. yeah whatever you do don't tell us anything douche bag media attention deficit whore.
  13. Thank you for remembering. Using the fallacy of those saying Bills spent 3 first rounders for Sam Watkins as my motivation. People keep wanting to say Bills wasted a first round pick on EJ when in reality he was less than a 1st round pick because they traded back and received more picks for doing that resulting in Eric Wood. And the Pack was mad they did not get wind of this also.
  14. It is their master plan to sign more and more former NFL guys to then market themselves as a NFL team. Those Toronto fans would believe anything after watching Bills choke in the Rogers Center for those series games.
  15. so very right. As an additional note for comparison of the 81,000 in the 1970's to 1990's vs the usual 69,000 that is considered a full house today. Many more of the 81,000 were actually outside and yelling to the field. Now thousands are packed behind glass in the clubs and suites. Effectively muted.
  16. Yes the play when Drayton Florence picked off Brady after it hit a lineman on the head and Drayton returned it for a touchdown for the lead. 1st play after kickoff after Bills had tied the game. Crazy loud. Then Drayton was on front page of SI that week for that play. Best memory of Drayton Florence by far. Yeah it was pure bull ****. Comparing the record to the Seattle sound dome when all Seattle fans knew about the record attempt, were told exactly when they would attempt it, and then coached them to break the record. With mic on field no less. Guinness book of losers. They must have corporate office in Seattle.
  17. Why would dumb ass Eagles sign Foles to a contract that now makes him LESS tradable. Did they consult with former Browns FO.
  18. lol......calm down sarcastic dreamer/ojabba-ouija board reader. Your concern and angst over a good rotational depth edge setting Shaq being on this roster surly will be elevated before the start of the season when Beane dumps him for a 2021 6th round draft pick from a team picking near the end of the round like KC, Philly, or LARams. Trust the process.
  19. TB should at least downsize that flag logo on helmet you can see from space. Anyone remember? 2011 NFL per Bills FO said Bills needed to downsize there new logo 15% to be able to fit all the NFL mandated, flag, warnings, and stickers, on it. Then 2014 Bucs rolled out that flag on steroids that made "Window World" and "Rex Ryan's Truck" vehicle wraps look like small bumper stickers in comparison.
  20. Stripes on helmet and pants is just weird. Like a cheap duct tape CFL stripe. Narrow the teal and widen the orange.
  21. He said pro bowl and super bowl are goals and implied super bowl was a team goal. Nothing wrong with that. At least he did not go all Robert Royal and think he is headed to HOF.
