Not really. Most bars with best TV setup for sports is more restaurant than bar. You get a table and order food without alcohol. Then when done you can usually stay at table unless they are very busy in which case then just go to the bar and have a drink. I go with a group of friends and several can not drink alcohol due to health reasons. No one working in the bar cares one bit. The drinkers order plenty anyway if they did care.

A big bar has all the games on. If you limit alcohol intake the bar becomes affordable.

Is your Dad the reason you’re a Bills fan?

Yes he is. He did not have a favorite team so I had to choose my own. -

I never recalled a bad long snap by Bills since Joe was cut. -
All NFL Contracts Should Be Performance Based ...
cba fan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think anyone is suggesting the salary cap would be abolished. The players collectively, including those injured, would still share the players portion of all defined income via the current salary cap. The plan suggested by several would just redistribute some(but far from all) salary away from underperforming and injured players and into the rightful hands of players who produce and are available. Virtually every NFL contract has some guaranteed portion. Some have salary itself guaranteed, some have sign bonuses that are paid out on signing so are same as guaranteed. For those low end guys who do not get a sign bonus I agree wholeheartedly they should have a portion guaranteed or given a sign bonus. Even practice squad players should get a reasonable severance pay when cut. -
All the Bills have for loss of Darby is rookie Harrison Phillips. I would rather have Darby.

I thought he was a great hire. I did figure out he was a fail when he ruined the D in first year, players rebelled, and Rex botched close losses with painfully stupid not throwing red flags challenges, but held on hope he could get it done year 2. I can't help thinking if it would have been different if Shaq and Ragland had not been injured. For all his faults It would have been a fun ride if Rex would have been the answer and won a Super Bowl with Bills. Bills on media hot takes/quotes all day.

All NFL Contracts Should Be Performance Based ...

Anyone can get hurt on the job at any time. Just like workman's compensation works, players should be paid less when injured and unable to work. Typical pay is 80% of take home pay. Sounds reasonable. They are also eligible for long term disability via Social Security just like all Americans who work enough to qualify. IE: work and earn money in 5 preceding years before disability and you qualify. -
All NFL Contracts Should Be Performance Based ...

?? This keeps coming up over and over again. No one cares or worries about billionaires money. This salary paying debate, which is actually a cap spending debate, is about how your team you follow, spends the cap to the best of their ability to provide a winning team. This is not about an EX like this: people concerned how much teachers and administrators are paid in salary benefits etc etc...….. because they pay directly for it in the way of property tax assessments and have no choice in the matter. And don't really agree a 9 month job should pay 60 to 100+ k per year for teachers and 150+ k for administrators. NFL is mostly(but not all as tax dollars are sometimes spent for stadium) optional for you to spend money on the team in way of tickets merchandise and supporting their tv program etc etc...... -

Agreed. It is as strange as that workhorse productive pre season RB who gets cut from several teams every year. -
Reggie Bush Awarded 12 Mil from Rams
cba fan replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I think I do actually. Bush is in the drivers seat here. Rams can bluff all they want. Until judge agrees to retrial/appeal Bush should sit tight. Only then should Bush team take into account the cost for counsel if Bush must go through another trial and maybe settle for less then. Bush has millions in the bank and he is very young. Time is no factor, he has all the time in the world. -

I agree they should have picked up the option. It would have made Watkins more valuable in a trade. Salary of about 13 mill. Just FYI: deadline for picking up Sammie Watkins 5th yr option was May 3 and Beane was hired May 9. So that was all McDermott. -
Reggie Bush Awarded 12 Mil from Rams
cba fan replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no "just settle" Rams lost the suit and owe Bush $12.5 million pending an appeal. Bush does not need to settle for less from the insurance co.. Ins co. or Rams are on the hook unless they can get a judge to lower the payout or grant a retrial. It would be very hard for Rams to get a retrial. Rams lost and will just need to pay up. -

He did seem to run backwards every time he touched the ball. Maybe the fall in St Louis also damaged his balance and inner ear parts. -

I mean really, the butt was just standing there minding its own business when WAM he got a dirty Sanchez rammed up his ass. The butt will sue and get damages from the dirty Sanchez. You got this ass backwards. Literally. -
A lot. read on please. QB drops back 10 yards and sometimes more. WR catches a pass 20 yards from line of scrimmage that is 30 right there for CB. Safety's are further away closing in to help. Toss in the width of the field of 53 yards and those a cross the field throws and not unusual for db's and safety's to be 30 or 40 yards away. I mean a DB lining up at sideline is 25 yards+ away from QB before the snap.
