He will not be cashing any checks unless he can win a roster spot for regular season. Not likely to happen but you never know. camp and preseason they only get a per diem that covers their expenses.

Two HUGE Coaching Names Who Almost Came to Buffalo
cba fan replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jauron did not do a good job in Chicago. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/JaurDi0.htm He was all but fired going into 3rd year as Bears hired a new GM Jerry Angelo and he wanted to clean house. Always a problem when GM and coach are not on same contract schedule. Tight wad Bears ownership would not let Angelo fire Jauron when Angelo was hired as he was on a 4 yr contract and was just about to start the 3rd year. Wanted to see what he could do with one more year. Then miracle of all miracles happens and Bears start scoring unbelievable amount of defensive TD's and get many critical turnovers when needed and finish 13-3. QB Jim Miller has a career year never to be duplicated. They then lose first game in playoffs partly due to QB was injured. Jauron was then named coach of the year and new GM was stuck. He then had to sign him to an extension and Jauron went on to suck just as bad after the 2001 season as he did before the 2001 season. Angelo was a puppet. Lesson to be learned: Hire a GM and give him power or you end up in hell like Bears did and Bills have also. -
A Little Help Please ? I Just Don't Understand !!
cba fan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
as others have stated you are confusing salary with dead cap money that has already been paid out to player earlier and prorated over life of contract. It now must be accelerated onto the teams cap when cut or traded. Clay cost bills nothing this year in salary or cash. 4.5 mill is added to cap as prorated portion of his sing bonus he was paid years ago. So Bills have 4.5 million of dead cap in 2019 for Clay and then nothing more. If he had stayed on Bills, Bills would have owed him his contract salary of 4.5 mill in cash and his cap hit would have been 9 mill as it was last year of contract so last of sign bonus(4.5 mill) was to come due anyway. -
Karlos Williams conditionally reinstated by NFL
cba fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love a redemption turn my life around story. Let's see how this plays out before we condemn Karlos. We do not know his situation yet. I know past actions are the best predictor of future actions, however, he could be an exception and go on to being a great person after all the poor lifestyle choices he did in his past. I am rooting for him wherever he plays. -
I was only talking about your women comment. Did not think it was appropriate to the debate. Kap can do what he wants and then choose to be surprised about the consequences of his own actions or not. He caused it either way. Employers set workplace rules. NFL allowed it. NFL had no say in how fans and others chose to respond. He would cost a team money and damage their brand financially if they signed him, so they chose not to. Pure business decision just like the settlement.

Fish also shot themselves in the foot(fin). Fish fall back option was Browns FA Jordan Cameron, who came pre-concussed. The fact Cameron did very little before predictably and unsurprisingly being concussed out of football about a year and 3 games later, it was a bad move by the Fish. Fish should have restructured some others and matched Clay's restricted FA tender. Then they could have traded him a year later when he would have been worth a lot more. In the meantime he would have helped Tannehill develop.

Bean at his Witchery, Again!

I agree...however your math is off. If Long is only costing Bills 1.2 million it means they cut him before the 2019 season and do not have him at all. That would then be a fail. If he pans out he cost about 4 mill yr 1 and then about 4.25 yr 2 and 4.35 yr 3. Good deal if he returns to form and beats the injury bug. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/spencer-long-14488/ -
Raiders with Mack and Cooper and maybe Carr soon. Gruden and Raiders clearly have some hard to discern dissfunction but nothing compared to Steelers.

WAY too much Patriot* love around here (my analogy)
cba fan replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would never be happy if Bills shared Pats history of cheating and all the drama that has come with it. Never. I would be looking forward to when those involved retired or moved on and the new guys could go to work removing the stench of that era and restoring Bills integrity. Like Bills fans have done for many groups of FO/coaching administrations, with minus the cheating of course. -

cba fan replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pats Yankees.....?? They are both cheaters. Pats in a literal sense. I can never respect a cheater. Ever. Yankees. Cheating the system. They have always had way more money to spend and would, and still, get all the talent they want. Never having to make any decision on keeping or dumping players due to money other teams must do.. Have been doing this since the beginning of time and predictably have had the best teams vast majority of years. Back in the true Yankee dynasty days many teams owners only had the team as their income and livelihood so they could not spend at a deficit to try and keep up. Grifffih of Twins was last owner with this problem. Since the advent of the luxury tax the Yankee dynasty has taken a hit, but not too bad as they just pay the luxury tax if they feel like it and no big deal. When you are the richest team with unlimited cash and you build a dynasty on that fact, that is unfair advantage and has ruined MLB as they have driven up FA salaries and ticket prices. They have made all the small market teams MLB.2 with an occasional WS nugget found by teams like Royals or Rays every now and then but very little chance to compete over the long haul. -

This prediction business is easy. over/under on Yankees winning future World Series is 1. -
well, it depends when, where, how long, and what state of dress, when this hugging occurred. Brady could have possibly been cheating on Giselle.

she would have to trade sex for drugs. Simple.

Dee Ford Discusses Offside Penalty and Perspective
cba fan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can not go back and point out another thing that happened earlier had more or less or same impact. It changes everything after you go back and change something. The most important thing happening happens when it happens in real time. The real time you are in at this moment. The past is now irrelevant. I know it is very confusing. EX: this game is over. Pats won. Only thing that matters now would be if Goodell right now in this moment in time decided he was invoking a never used rule to make them play it over(will never happen for a host of reasons) So more important event then moves on in real time, that would be Goodell is headed to the press conference having told no one about his decision yet to announce this, then moving ahead in real time his safety on this cab trip downtown is most important, then moving ahead in real time as he steps out of the cab he then is immediately raptured into heaven and never able to announce that intention. So the rapture was now the most important thing not the decision to invoke the rule or the cab trip. Another ex: memory is on a wave of consciousness. My typing right now is all my world in my conscious level. When I finish my conscious level proceeds on. 30 years from now this typing I will not remember and possibly likely this whole exercise of conversation will be forgotten. But as of this very moment these letters are going down it is all I know in the world. That moment will pass as i go upstairs to shower. All that matters then as this wave of memory moves on is what I do as it is happening. So I don't fall going up the steps and die hitting my head then onto the shower were I don't slip and fall and hit my head and die from that. Those then become more important as my wave of consciousness moves forward into the future(or present depending on point of view IE: the future never gets here as you are always in the present) My point is the off sides at that very moment it happened was the most important thing at that moment to decide the outcome of that game. Dee Ford cost the Chiefs the win. by about a 99.99999999999999999999 % probability he did. You could always argue KC could have fumbled the knell down snap etc etc but very very unlikely as I do not believe any team has turned it over in the modern knell down plays they now run. -
agreed unless you are being sarcastic. Saints never recovered after Brees signed his big 100 mill deal in 2012. No Super Bowl wins and no Super Bowl appearances since. Just like Rogers in GB. Wilson in SEA. Rivers in SD/LA. Tannehill in MIA Stafford in Detroit. Cousins in WAS Cousins in MN Kap in SF Favre in GB Favre in MN Favre in NYJ Carr OAK Dalton CIN Bortles JAGS Palmer CIN Palmer in OAK Palmer in AZ Alex Smith KC Alex Smith in WASH Ben Rothleisberger. No Super Bowl wins since his big deal.(1 SB appearance though) Ryan ATL(1 appearance though) Cam CAR(1 appearance though) That is the norm not the exception in modern FA period. Once teams give the QB the big *market rate deal the SB winning window is slammed shut. Exception the manning factor Eli 1x. and Peyton 2x. There are many reasons why the Cheats win Super Bowls. Some good some cheating. Big factor is *Brady takes under market deals. If you want to argue they are Super Bowl contenders that is a diff argument but History shows the Super Bowl winning window is virtually slammed shut unless you are Mannings brothers.
