  1. lol....deadlines are like #######s. Everyone's got one. Some just larger than others.
  2. Bills should draft Pancho Billa with the last 7th rounder they have. That would make it an unwasted pick then. First Bills fan ever, worth a draft pick. Maybe NFL would let them have an honorary pick at the end of the 7th round. Or call it first pick in the 12th man round.
  3. your post is very unclear how we can be sure that can't miss guy does not miss. Clark only cost a 1st and 2nd.
  4. lol....look out for those feared "wet flakes" sounds like a nickname for Kentucky bootlegging drunk moonshiners.
  5. Outdoor draft in spring. What could go wrong? idiots.
  6. no one hides anything in this social media world we live in. https://sometag.org/media/2019782204644929391_2009907624/
  7. strongest? Any woman running from Russ Brandon on attack mode. I guess you never had a girlfriend. ? just messin.
  8. I agree however they would be drafting an IOWA TE and Iowa is a TE factory. Iowa TE's develop faster like Dallas Clark. Kittle in SF last year and a couple others. Personally I would let someone else develop them and try and get them on 2nd contract like you mentioned is when they show better results.
  9. team with next pick can then submit and would jump ahead of NE. Then NE is back on the clock and next team could jump ahead if NE waits to clock expiration and this continues on and on. So NE would be on clock for 1st pick in 2nd round when day 2 starts on day 2. No team would be this stupid as 1st rounders come with 5th year option.
  10. just one question. Do either of these guys have pants on? this is creepy as hell. I had to speed it up to understand he was not saying ACL.
  11. Yeah I read it. Just going off history. Every time we get excited direct tv will lose the contract as it comes up for renewal, and we dream it will be available on other platforms like Canada has, at last minute, direct tv swoops back in and makes offer NFL can not refuse.
  12. Nothing is changing at least until end of 2022. That's a long 4 full seasons boys. https://tvanswerman.com/2018/10/03/will-directv-lose-nfl-sunday-ticket/
  13. I guess you do not understand the rule of public prosecution as administrated in US. The tapes will likely be shown in the jury trial so it must be public record. You could go watch the case proceed live and see the footage also. You can not then say it can not be released to the media when it is public in court. Kraft has control of this though. If he just pleads guilty to the lesser charge he committed and stops wasting taxpayer money insisting on a jury trial then the video possibly gets destroyed. Kraft is just a little crybabay who wants to get OFF again. And will hire high profile lawyers to likely get off. But then he must live with the vid going public. ***** him and his money can buy his way out of everything attitude. PS: I do agree it should not be released until after the court proceedings so as not to taint the jury pool.
  14. finally found it. It is a long interesting read. Rereading it now I don't think it would work too well. Just in special circumstances like Chiefs. my memory of it was accurate. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24801136/how-nfl-teams-trade-young-qb-starters-thrive-bill-barnwell-2018 Interesting that ESPN's Barnwell took a twitter comment from D Gilmour that spurred Barnwell(not clear how much Barnwell wrote before the Gilmour question) into deeper thought about this and made a whole all encompassing article about the theory. Very impressive. He is a super star reporter.
  15. agreed. People who think athletes are not worth their salaries are socialists or communists or something. Like a great hard working blue collar welder could book an arena and get 15 to 30 K to show up screaming in happiness buying tickets for $100, beer, apparel, and DVD's of you welding.......etc etc.... It is laughable. They do not understand demand and market rates for that demand. You never hear them complain about actors or entertainers who work much much less and make much much more than high end high paid athletes.
  16. still waiting for your opinion on the theory of trading before 2nd contract. Internet article was awhile ago and I can not find it back. If I find it I will post it so you can move on and give your opinion on it. What does it matter? It is an opinion. Could be anyone's, who cares? One I do not necessarily share. Just putting it out there for those who hate when we bring up the undeniable fact that big QB salaries reduce significantly a teams chances to win Super Bowls. Personally it would be hard for me as a FO exec to trade a franchise guy even with the facts in front of me that this alternate way of treating the QB salary issue may be the way to go. I would probably take my job security and keep the franchise guy and hope against hope I could be the outliers like the Manning's both won Super Bowls when on big contracts. circumstances could make me do it though. I would have traded Rogers already as I don't feel he is a leader and his weird grudges have held the team back. Same with Big Ben and his long list of crap.
  17. To open up a fan of worms. There was an article on qb contract handling that predicted drastic change soon. As some but not all GM's notice that you don't win super bowls and often do not even make playoffs with high qb salary some may do the following. Only keep qb on rookie deal. Then franchise him and work a trade for assets and roll the dice on drafting next franchise qb. Keep him for rookie deal and rinse and repeat. Article assumes many FO's will not do it as winning with say aaron rodgers and keeping job longer and winning, even with no super bowls, is better than getting fired for trading franchise type players in their prime. This allows market to remain viable for trade of qb's at end of rookie deals. Goes on to say it only takes one gm to start this trend. Interesting strategy requiring ballsy FO.
  18. Teams with high QB salaries are far more likely to not win the super bowl. Stats don't lie. This is not hard. Not sure why people argue history.
  19. No there will be a Super Bowl. Just that the highest pd QB teams will not be there. I am sure one team will buck the odds and possibly get there, but odds are clearly stacked against it happening. History backs up our opinion here: https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2018/12/30/highest-paid-quarterbacks-arent-making-the-playoffs-rodgers-garoppolo-cousins-ryan/
  20. so your saying there is a chance....just further out in the future......lol instant classic. Thanks for that. I will try next: Ala-mode.....
  21. It is pretty much written he would only come with a new deal. He and others have seen how AB played the Steelers. Jones will not have all the drama of needing a new deal but he will likely get one as terms of a trade. He would be financially not smart, and his agent a very poor talent, to not take advantage of this environment(him being traded) of getting a new deal. Especially considering if he just agrees to go to new team and play next two years on current deal his market value will be severely compromised in two years when he is approaching 33 years old.
  22. Bills FO should bring him in for a look/workout and then take him out to eat.
