  1. hence the time element. At time of trade the 1 is like a two. On draft day the next year it absolutely looks like a 1, but they waited a year to feel that way. Time element in this context is hard to grasp for all including me. But it is real. I guess?? 😁 I flip back and forth on it.
  2. this is bad news for Wade. Now he may be ineligible all year again. How many years does a team need to see of a player before they know it is over. At Wades age two may have been limit. In Wades eyes maybe he wants team to make a decision or he moves on. Now team may try to stash him again in the Int' program. Maybe team wants to bring in other now and stop teasing Wade. Might be time for him to return to rubgy. Even though he says he is retired for good from that sport.
  3. that's dumb. His agent is not informing him properly. A restructure is in his best interest. He gets non-guaranteed money moved up and gets it right now. So it is not risked to be lost if cut later in contract. Helps the competition as Chiefs now have less cap space. lol.
  4. what? My point is fans "should" worry about contracts. Every time you over pay market rate for any player you have less money to spend to make team better. Due to salary cap. Not sure what point you are making.
  5. what!! LOL. Improving team and contracts go hand in hand. If Bills spent all their remaining cap on Mitch then this was a terrible signing as they then can't improve the team in positions that matter much more than B/U QB. If he takes vet min then it is a great signing.
  6. maybe NFL teams have finally decided to follow the historical track record of Bill Belichecks coaching tree. It very seldom produces good HC material. Unless you want you count Kirk Ferentz coaching resume at Iowa, even many going to college jobs suck.
  7. probably wont happen with Bills. If they just keep at contract he is cap number of 9.5 million. If they cut him they incur dead cap of 1.6 million. Let's say Bills offer restructure at 6.5 mill a year and cap hit of less. Then if he refuses that restructure to test market and Bills cut him they incur 1.6 mill dead cap with no way of reducing that dead cap. So lets say he test market and no one offers over 5.5 mill per year. Bill's wont take him back at 6.5 mill as he is on books then for 8.1 mill. Bills likely only would go about 4 now. If he takes restructure he is better off unless he and agent are sure higher offers await in FA.
  8. he maybe would not have played volleyball(causing pic6) with that slow thrown short wide open pass from Peterman vs Chargers that sent Peterman down that rabbit hole he never escaped from. Like the FB Patrick DiMarco Bills then signed and supposedly was the best in league.
  9. could restructure Brown instead for about same cap hit.
  10. I believe win rate is looking at each lineman win rate vs first guy blocking him. So if Hughes beats his guy and then is blocked by a running back he won that plays win rate.
  11. this deal must have been really really close..........lol🤣🤣🤣
  12. maybe Ravens vs Chiefs?? You know, the AFC Championship game everyone wanted badly but Taron Johnson said "Int is mine!!" lol
  13. i would guarantee more to give him incentive to accept a lesser yearly avg and less cap hit. And then probably with expectation he will be a center if Morse is gone. Although it would only cost about 1 mill to keep Morse with a restructure vs cut and dead cap.
  14. Does not save it, It just moves about half of it to the next year. As he will be a post June 1 cut/retirement.
  15. Stills is no longer on the team and is a FA now. I would like to see him signed though.
  16. internet reporting at its best.
  17. because he may not get the deal in the year he wants due to the covid affected shrinking salary cap. So you take out insurance to protect some of his future earnings. His accountants/agents will be on this don't worry.
  18. maybe he can take out insurance ?
  19. if you want to watch end of season meaningless exhibition type games that don't count in the standings there are a whole boatload of them scheduled already for decades to come. they are called College Bowl Games.
  20. Brown knee was never 100% on his return. Beasley broken leg too and Diggs muscle banged up yet, not to mention Davis ankle was hobbled. It was like a perfect storm of bad luck as it all happened to hit hard in playoffs and hurt Bills dearly vs KC.
  21. wr speed was very good last year. RB speed was what was non existent. Maybe Christian Wade can bring speed to RB spot and/or the draft or course.
  22. the Bills ever shrinking salary cap is. That is the point.
  23. yes like the Washington old names use to do every year for awhile.
  24. No lol. In this case Ravens are great running team including running QB. Bills suck at stopping the run even as they got better at it late in season. Bills great passing team. Ravens great at stopping the pass. Any impartial non emotional expert would have picked the Ravens to win. Home field not really an advantage either as only very low attendance was allowed. Bills crowd did roar and seemed to affect the Ravens calls some but that would not have been factored into or expected before the game when making a prediction.
