  1. Same here... only saw them once though, Jannus Landing in St. Pete in the 80's. Was an electric set that made it even better. Sat at the bar with my bud who I went with and Jack himself before the show and had a drink together... he signed a cocktail napkin which I keep safely in a book. That show was mindblowing... they tore the place UP.
  2. I read it and it was kind of meh and all over the place... and that guy dislikes the Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo to boot.
  3. Bark and LJS I'll always love... the end basically, some excellent songs on them. 30 secs is respectable. How did an arguably top 5 rock bass player of all time emerge from that band then?
  4. Which albums have you listened to?
  5. For me it would be in the top 30 of bands people have at least heard of. No need to buy any of it, have it all... even a mono copy of Baxters.
  6. The weren't that bad live, on a rooftop... the Beatles inspiration perhaps:
  7. I'm done but I'll check score updates... 3 in under ten minutes isn't fun... if anything great changes I'll put it back on.
  8. 13th Floor Elevators, Great Society, Sopwith Camel Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco CA 8/26-27/1966
  9. A flashing Grace and Jorma tearing it up:
  10. No offence but that is a horrible clip from you of all people.
  11. I have a Sprouts a few miles away but it is in a direction that is a hassle to drive. They sell Yancy's Fancy cheese there which I thought was kind of cool. Their deli sandwiches are really good at a decent price.
  12. Nice to see Flora Purim here (1st Return to Forever Lp for example) and a couple of random dudes.
  13. Regardless of what anyone says Aldi is pretty cool. I like the yogurts there better than the brand name ones and they have some unique bread selections. Glad you liked it... took me 3-4 times shopping there to really get a grip on the place but I'm glad I did. Whenever I go there I don't get a cart, I just grab an empty or near empty box and shop with that. The Aldi around here is kind of hidden too... but they just remodeled it and it is pretty nice.
  14. Thanks for the tunes... keep truckin.
  15. What else would you expect from Syd?
  16. She wants the mullet, you want the beard.
  17. You should google an Aldi in your area and take a ride... they have a lot of stuff and brand names you've probably never heard of but the quality is up there. A lot of the big companies make brands for businesses that don't have their name on it. Also, there is a lot of stuff imported from Germany and other countries from Europe. Don't look around for a butcher though, there isn't one.
  18. I'm in Florida outside of Tampa... have never been to a Krogers. We do have Aldi though that really is pretty decent but having the Publix/WMNM right across the way makes it easy and lazy to just head over the road. Publix my way has Sahlens but they are the ***** smokehouse version. They Do however have Hoffmans natural casing dogs And white hots... the manager is from WNY. I guess your Krogers is my Aldi.
  19. You are 100% correct... a great place to shop but virtually everything they sell is marked Way up. I have one right across the street and a walmart neighborhood marked 900 feet away from them. Almost every single item is a dollar or two less at the walmart. Everything really. Sometimes they do have decent bogo's though. What Publix Does have that no one else around here does is Boars Head meats and cheeses. Boars Head natural casing dogs are pretty damn good too.
  20. Skanky chick with a set of big pipes... fun for a few years. Probably will always be know for Cheap Thrills. Still, Country Joe is still alive so he avoided the worst that was probably in that muffin. Rock Cheap Thrills every month or so... loudly.
  21. Me neither But... she was one of the backup singers on Overnite Sensation so I'll give her that much.
  22. Elvis said that Roy Orbison was his greatest opponent voice wise. Lets just face it, this list is a piece of *****.
  23. He is on Desire and Blood on the Tracks... but for the most part he is what he is, like you said, a great songwriter. I think we all became so familiar with the sound of his voice that it was ok... I could say that that's where I'm at. Lay Lady Lay is also pretty good as far as a pop single goes.
  24. I was outside grilling burgers and sausage etc. and had Katy Lied on youtube. How Fagen didn't make this "list" is beyond me... not so much now but back in the heyday he had a fantastic voice, Very versatile.
