  1. You know it man... this one was sweet. Tokarski is an animal out there, maybe we finally have some good goaltending to look forward to for years.
  2. I love Ginger Baker for sure but I'd put Ed Cassidy right next to him, probably a little above... same type of background. Born in 1923... drumming since a kid, played in many jazz bands, etc. Also was in the Rising Sons with Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder. I believe he still holds the oldest rock drummer award too. Got to see Spirit on his 70'th birthday at Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa and sat down with him and Randy after the show at a picnic table. Both super nice and genuine... signed everything I brought too. I think it was Randy's last show ever... he drowned in Hawaii not long afterwards trying to save his son. Anyways, here is a small example:

  4. The real question is... can there be Steely Dan without a steely dan?
  5. Can't keep Lenny out of the conversation:
  6. That's also a huge amount of years when you reach that age where you just sacrificed a lot of years just "waiting", also doesn't include the SS money you would have already had if you had claimed at 62. This is what I mentioned above. Too many moving pieces really to actually define it... health, mobility, home situation, etc on and on.
  7. It will certainly vary person to person but the difference between having been paid for 3-4 years against nothing at all really seems to even out overall. Also, you have a financial planner. Have you ever made an account on the SS website? Well worth it if you haven't... here is the secure link to get where you currently stand (or anyone here no matter your age): https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action?URL=%2Fmyssa%2Fbec-plan-prep-ui%2Fbec-home
  8. Good thread topic. Some of it has differing idea's for sure... one is SS and when to collect. I'm not there yet but it won't be too long... and the (not that I've seen here) debate I've had with a lot of people is this: say you claim SS at 62... $1,500 a month. But, if you wait until 65 it will be $1,800 a month. The debate is that the money evens itself out because that was 3 years you weren't receiving anything at all. I'm in the camp that will take it at 62. Also there is the fact that none of us know how long we will live.
  9. Dedicated to someone special... nice 1968 tuneage.
  10. By any chance, is your name Michael Kenyon?

  19. Conceived and written by a 19 year old and played by crack musicians.. I'd have to wonder if a lot of 19 year old's nowadays have ever seen 12 musicians total. I check this one out once a year and today happened to be that day. Hard one to pull off live but they nailed it.
  20. He only has 2 blocked punts in his NFL career... the Steelers game was one of them. ***** happens.
  21. Your post reminded me of something... that sign is in this video. This song has nothing to do with the crisis at the border though, it was written because of lost papers and the hassle of getting where he needed to perform a concert. (Graham Nash) Whoever made this video inserted their own agenda into it. Great song though...
