Can Khalil Shakir be WR2 next season?
babulator replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, Shakir has been a nice story and certainly has a roster spot, but settling for him as our #2 is a terrible idea. We still need a true #1, a guy that can get open without being schemed and make the tough catches when the chips are on the line. I'm not bashing anyone here, but when you look around the league true #1 guys can take over a game. I'm not sure we've ever had that, yes we've had some guys have great games, but not in the way CeeDee or Tyreek, or Ja'Marr have taken over games when needed. Our WR group is doodoo overall. Don't settle for this imho. -
Bills Game on Peacock- No Commercials in the 4th Quarter !
babulator replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
My wife thinks it's weird that I mute the TV during commercials. 😶 If not for my ❤️ for the Bills I'd never watch TV. -
Huge shoutout to Buffalo fans from Matt Hasselbeck…
babulator replied to Watching since 1964's topic in The Stadium Wall
I must be the outlier here, I love the Train Horns ! Coupled with the Charging Buffalo it's awesome, uniquely Buffalo. I'm fired up thinking about it. Go Bills! -
The Classic Uniform for the Bills against the Cowboys
babulator replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
These are clearly the best uniforms and color combination in the league! That said, I liked it when we wore white @ home and these on the road. No others needed -
Bills open Justin Shorter's Practice Window

Settle has been a big disappointment. -
Poll: Top reason for the Offense's underperformance
babulator replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey's offense seems like it was made for the early 2000's. -
It's time. We can find someone to take over play calling easy enough, there's no shortage of guys that would throw their hat in the ring to call plays for JA. Its not like Ken is some mastermind that's been "coaching" up these guys the last few years. He was basically given the keys to the Ferrari and can't figure out how to put it in gear is what it feels like. A new guy could be the breath of fresh air we need, might even bring some experience given the right selection. I honestly think Josh needs a teacher and maybe Ken is not that guy. It would be addition by subtraction minimally, I see nothing but upside.

NFL Scheduler Really Hated the Bills this Year
babulator replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall
Scheduling is now done by AI. I'm sure the league makes some adjustments or vetoes different outcomes, but my understanding is that AI Models all of the scheduling now. -
Does this just mean Quinton Morris, or will Dorsey move away from all the 2TE sets. I'm hopping for the later imho.

I'm not angry, but do have buyers remorse. As for the recency bias, yes, Von had flashed, but availability is a players best ability. Had he not been injured I'm sure I'd feel different, and he'd have produced more results and we'd all be happy, but thats just not how the cards unfolded. I feel like we gambled on the shiny toy and lost, and thats just sometimes how the cookie crumbles. Thats not a knock on him as a person, thats just reality.
-
Von has provided very little in the way of results since he's been here. Yes, he may have provided a spark or some hope of things to come initially, but hes been a big disappointment. I definitely have some buyers remorse now. TBH DaQuan makes this D-line go, when him and Oliver are in we're solid, we have a nice rotation @ DE with Groot, AJ, Floyd and Shaq. Id like to resign Floyd and maybe upgrade Shaq but Von worries me at this point and moving forward. That money probably shoulda been used to upgrade the O/WR imho (in hindsight).

McD and Daboll hate each other probably 🤣
babulator replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Coaching NFL football is obviously insanely intense and demanding, I have no doubts they've butted heads during their time together. I'm also pretty certain McD has fantasized about a single leg take down and some ground and pound work :P. I'm guessing he'd have to use the single over the double due to Dabolls... proportions. O 😇 -
Remember how impressed the staff was when he brought his notebook to the team interview? They really hyped that up. 😇
-
Kept saying it all game, I know he's not on the field, but McD was having himself a hell of a game. Told my wife he gets a game ball today for sure 100%! Go BIlls!

McD calling a whale of a game so far imho.

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)
babulator replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought for sure he'd get a chance today. 😶 -
Yes, that's why he signed and quickly retired. He was likely under the impression he would be the starter and retired as soon as he realized he wasn't. It's not worth arguing about but it's pretty obvious to most. *shrugs*

As long as we get the Dub (W)! Go Bills!

A guy they were trying to replace (w/Kirksey) even. It's eye opening.

I feel like all the talk about McDaniels O being revolutionary has not been lost on McDermott. I wouldn't be surprised if he introduces some new wrinkles to the D this week. I also feel like the answer to Miami is mixing in some man or man/zone coverage against them. That's the consensus to stopping the Cheetah isn't it, disrupting him off the line? I feel like thats Elams biggest strength, getting hands on and disrupting people off the line. This is when we need him, a roster spot is open, I think he plays.
-
Its time for Elam to get handsy with the cheetah. I bet he sees some action this week.

I find the whole Edmunds saga pretty gripping tbh. I wanted him to be "The" guy, I was rooting for him, I was sipping the Kool aid & buying all the excuses and just could not wrap my head around why he was soo... average. Now, after watching him QB the leagues worst or 2nd worst D in the league he looks awful, not average, not below average, he just looks lost. While I'm still not ready to write him off entirely as a bust, I need to see more. The more I watch him though, the more I'm starting to think he may have cost us a shot or 2 @ the SB. Inquiring minds want to know. Keep this thread going imho.

I saw it mentioned earlier in the thread, but that play was brutal. The misreads by him were pretty awful and he just seems to lack the necessary awareness to be THAT guy.
