Used to have nightmares about this drop. Should have been 5 Superbowls! -
Daniel Jeremiah top 50 prospects . Who are the Bills drafting?
babulator replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll start watching more video as we move forward, but I agree we need guys with hands 1st. I like the kid out of Texas too Mitchell. I think we need a bigger bodied guy that can get downfield ...AND catch (sorry Gabe) -

Admittedly I don't watch as much College football as I used to, but Troy Franklin has my eye. I'd like to see us be aggressive and grab him (move a couple spots if need be). I also think we should make a move or sign someone (like a D.Hop) or other comparable top WR. We need to draft a solid WR, but I don't think we should bank the season on him either. -

We need someone that can stretch the field and make room underneath for Diggs, Kincaid and Shakir. If cook could spend some time with the Juggs machine, that wouldn't hurt either.- 87 replies

Greg Cosell - “I don’t think they have a number 1 WR”
babulator replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can believe this. He's no dummy, he knows it would have helped stretch the field and had a positive impact on his own game. In fact, it's no secret to anyone that's been keeping even a casual eye on the Bills. Sadly, Gabe ain't that guy either. -
He made some glaring mistakes, I'm sure they're looking him back in the mirror today. Despite his mistakes, he did not want to lose, and to own that loss in that manner has to be devastating for him. I feel for him, I can't imagine he'd ever do the same thing again. I wouldn't pull the plug on him if I were the Lions

Detroit = Cleveland = Buffalo - The Curse of Lake Erie?
babulator replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Sabres Coach Ted Nolan did say the elders actually got together and put a curse on the Sabres. Anything's possible. https://www.sabrespace.com/community/topic/36299-it-all-makes-sense-now/ -

IDK cover1 had a pretty good break down of how Diggs stuggled the 2nd half of the season the last 3 or 4 years, under Daboll, Dorsey and Brady. Basically his best season here was complimented Beasely and Brown, a real field stretcher and a legit slot wideout. He's not a field stretcher, he's not great in man, he struggles when D's focus on him down the stretch etc. Obviously, this isn't madden football, but we need to make a significant upgrade as soon as it is possible and makes sense. -
Bills Last Great Defensive Lineman
babulator replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mario Williams remains one of the most confusing Bills enigma's to me ever. Just the most physically impressive and dominant man "when" he felt like playing. I mean he could just manhandle grown a$$ men around like nothing. Yes, Bruce was the best, but Mario was just a completely physically imposing man, when he wasn't checked out. If we think Von's invisibility stints were bad, just remember watching Mario standing around play after play doing absolutely nothing. I don't think I've ever seen it before or since, completely checked out, standing around. I still have nightmares of watching him drop back into coverage too ??? WTF was happening.... like the twilight zone. -
How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
babulator replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, this is what I said. It's not an attack on anyone, it's just the reality of the situation. Here's a decent break down as well. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2024/1/24/24048105/stefon-diggs-and-the-second-half-of-the-season-what-is-happening-buffalo-bills-offense -

I disagree, I think Diggs inability to get any separation has led to these screen passes and otherwise extended handoffs. They've been trying to get him involved and this seems to be the only way we've been able to do it recently. -

I wanted DK. This is who the Bills needed. It would have been epic! -

Diggs has been struggling to get separation in man to man. Brady focus's less on Diggs in his O (he likes the 2x TE set and is more run focused). This means less designed or schemed plays for him. Couple that with his drops, his age, and the emergence of Kincaid and it all just means less for Diggs. Truthfully, as good as he is, he's simply not a game changer, he's never been a guy to just take over a game. I think this will be par for the course moving forward. He's been great for JA, but we need a real game changer here. -
NO. He wants to go back to CA. He's been vocal about this in the past. He wants the Chargers Job w/ Herbert.
-
Gabe is useless and Diggs is done. Can't beat press, can't get any separation, now he's losing contested balls, and he never gets any YAC. Our entire WR room needs to be turned over. Shakir looks like a serviceable slot WR or #3 guy, outside of that, our cupboards are empty.

"Yinzer" gonna hafta explain that to me again.

I haven't found myself yelling through the TV @ Bernard at all ever this year. I felt exasperated watching Tremaine at times, so yeah it's been great for me and my blood pressure. Go Bills!

The Gabe Davis conversation (Allen with and without Gabe)
babulator replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can you imagine playing with a future HOF QB that's shattering NFL records and despite being given every opportunity, you just can't seem to get on the same page as him? 🔫 We've seen enough of Gabe, it's time to move on. -
Some hard choices for Beane on the D-Line
babulator replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Floyd and Daquan stay, we need to resign them as apriority! We've got plenty of other fat we can trim on the DL if need be. -
Can Khalil Shakir be WR2 next season?
babulator replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, Shakir has been a nice story and certainly has a roster spot, but settling for him as our #2 is a terrible idea. We still need a true #1, a guy that can get open without being schemed and make the tough catches when the chips are on the line. I'm not bashing anyone here, but when you look around the league true #1 guys can take over a game. I'm not sure we've ever had that, yes we've had some guys have great games, but not in the way CeeDee or Tyreek, or Ja'Marr have taken over games when needed. Our WR group is doodoo overall. Don't settle for this imho. -
Bills Game on Peacock- No Commercials in the 4th Quarter !
babulator replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
My wife thinks it's weird that I mute the TV during commercials. 😶 If not for my ❤️ for the Bills I'd never watch TV.
