He doesn't have near the accuracy, pocket presence, or passing progression ability. Watson should have been the first overall pick last year. -

He is an intriguing prospect but is no where near Deshaun Watson -
If he outplays Brady on the biggest stage I would be on board. That is what you look for is a guy that can win a championship game.

When the Eagles traded up for Wentz is cost two firsts, a third, and a second. That was to go from eight. Maybe we could get it done with bother our firsts this year and a first and a second next year. I would be surprised though.

Predict which team will sign Kirk Cousins (Poll)
billspro replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I picked Buffalo, mainly because I think Cousins and McDermott would be a great match. Also, I think the Bills jersey suits Cousins the best, haha. -
It will cost three 1st and three 2nd as a starting point to move up. You will be getting a turnover machine in Darnold, a short QB in Mayfield, or a QB in Rosen that does not have the persona of a franchise QB. I'm not saying those guys aren't good prospects but that plan is high risk.
-
Or you can spend the money on Cousins and draft defence. There are a lot of good players in the draft. Free agent defensive players don't usually live up to their contracts, you are paying for past production. I would much rather get some young defensive players in the draft and spend money on a QB entering his prime.
-
I would be very happy with that plan as well. I think Rudolph and White have just as good of a chance to come franchise QBs as Rosen and Darnold. I really like Mayfield, but it scares me trading up into the top 5 for a short QB, I might be willing to trade up into the teens for him.

I agree, very similar prospects. Both throw way too many picks.

Glad to get off the snide, but was it worth it?

It is actually not bad at all. This is a very deep QB class. There is no top end QB talent this year in my opinion. The gap between the top eight guys is pretty small. I would much rather pick QB 5-8 in the first and second round this year than the top 4 guys in the top 15 picks. -
TRADE TYROD/ GET BRADFORD/ DRAFT FUTURE
billspro replied to DKBills25's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Plan A - sign Cousins Plan B - sign Bradford and Draft Mike White Plan C- Sign some vet QB and draft Mason Rudolph. I'm not willing to trade up for a QB. -
I will be surprised if he has any trade value. Taylor will probably end up being a backup for Watson or Wilson next year.

Let the Broncos or Jets Have Cousins...
billspro replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would at least make a pitch to Cousins and if he chooses the Jets over us it is his call, I would not just stay hidden in the background and let the Jets have him. Worst case scenario we drive up his price a bit. -

Maybe a little over confident after one NFL start? Saying that I wanted the Bills to draft Watson and I wish we did. -

Your going to let the Jets have Cousins and give them draft capital for risky draft prospect? That plan has a high probability of us finishing last in the afce. And what happens if Cousins becomes the next Drew Brees? The guy is just entering his prime, which is usually 29-35 for a QB. -
The AFC is so much worse than the NFC right now. The three good QBs are old, Luck is injured, and so is Watson. All of the other QBs suck. This team wins 11 games with Cousins next year in my opinion. How fun would it be watching a 4000+ yard passing attack? How fun would it be watching Shady run against defences not stacking the box? How great would it be watching QBs have to throw against our secondary because we have the lead? The tough part is going to be convincing him to come here. I think Cousins will like McDermott, Beane, and the Pegula's. If Bills fans role out the red carpet we may have a chance. Cousins is going to be paid, he wants to be appreciated and he deserves to be. I agree, it is not every day a good QB is a free agent. The only other time I remember a young Pro bowl QB available in free agency was Brees.

Trading up is a much worse price than money. We have 90 million in cap space in 2019, give half of that to Cousins and the deal is manageable. Plus all three of those QBs have huge question marks. Would you rather have Rosen and no first next year or Cousins, Joshua Jackson, Harrison Phillips, Kallen Ballage, Leighton Vander Esch, and our first round pick next year? We would be lucky if our first round QB turned out as good as Cousins. The bust rate on first round QBs is probably over 60%. -

So true, if we were lucky enough to hit on a QB in the draft their contract would end up being higher than Cousins in 4 years. I am always fine with paying a good QB. It is when you start giving defensive players $100 million dollar contracts that you get in trouble. I think there is enough tape on Cousins to know he will be a good to great QB in the league the next five years. -

He gets underrated because he was a fourth round pick. He is in the second tier of QBs. Very solid starter. -
I follow Daniel Jerimiah and Mike Mayock on NFL.com, I also check cbs sports and Walter football. As for watching games I use draftbreakdown.com.

I would be fine with any of them. If I got to choose I would pick White. Especially since we would have to either draft Rudolph in the first or trade up for him in the second. That is a little to rich for me. I wouldn't worry about Whites arm strength. He has the strongest arm of those three prospects.

I love this plan

Heres another game if anyone is interested. He had a better oline in 2016 and okay skill position players that year.
