I like Mason Rudolph but I don't think he has a strong enough arm to develop into a high end starter in the league. Do you think he has enough arm strength? I thought he had enough originally, but after watching a bunch of the other guys I am not sure he does. I have moved Mike White a head of him because White has NFL arm strength and accuracy. I also moved Josh Allen ahead of him recently, along with Lamar Jackson. Right now I have Rudolph battling with Falk as a third round QB prospect.

You do a great job on these. I think another positive for Darnold is the "clutch" factor. He seems to make big throws when his team needs him to. A great trait for a franchise QB. How is your grading system set up? For me if I had 90 as a top 5 pick and 80 as a first round pick I would have Darnold graded around 86. I think the best thing that could happen for us is having Allen go number 1 and have Denver pick up Cousins. That would cause either Rosen or Darnold to drop to around number 5 in the draft and we would be able to trade up with both number 1's and probably a number 2 from next years draft, leaving us with both of our second rounds to fill some other needs.

I have to disagree, I think he has great speed. I think he will run a 4.6 at the combine, if he does that he is going round 1.

Not yet, I'm just guessing.

Me too, but Davis is going to be much cheaper.

So excited!!! This secondary is going to be nasty next year. Davis gets to be CB2 in our D, he should dominate in that position.

Team fits for 10 safest picks in NFL draft.

Mike White. I always pick my favorite QB prospect for the Bills and make it my profile pic during draft season. Last year I had Watson. -

Those guys are going to be great NFL players, we would be lucky to have them. -

This is such a deep QB class, it is a good year to need a QB. I think Rosen and Darnold will most likely go 1 and 2, Mayfield will probably go between 5 and 15. The next cluster of QBs is where it gets interesting because there is not much separation. Allen is tough to figure out, he could go from top 10 to the end of round 2. I believe Jackson and White will go in round 2 and there is a good chance Rudolph goes in round 2 as well. I watched games on all the QBs over the weekend and I have Mike White as the fourth QB (I know none of the draft experts agree with that but they are wrong all of the time). You don't find many seniors that have his arm strength, accuracy, and production that make it into the second round. I completely agree though, those are the guys I have a first round grade on. Allen has major red flags (completion percentage, accuracy drops off after first read, misses easy throws), Jackson has great tools and should be the next Vick with a creative OC but if you don't have one he will fail, and I am not sure Rudolph has the arm strength of a starting NFL QB. I still need to watch more games on Falk, I didn't see many NFL throws on tape, that offence if tough to evaluate. Ya he will probably go in round 2 unless he blows up the combine. -

My favorite picks would be Harrison Phillips, Taven Bryan, Josh Jackson, and Vander Esch. -
That should be part of the combine interview. If a QB thinks the earth is flat they are off the board.

Could he play OT at the next level? I'm always looking for the next Peters.

Anonymous QB Scouts' Takes on the Draft Class

I completely agree with this. BTW I watched 4 more games on Darnold and Rosen. I think I would be okay trading up to the top of the draft for them. Increased my grade on both of them a bit. -
LOL have you heard Mel Kiper's mock 2.0?
billspro replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be a brutal draft day. Good thing Kiper is the worst in the business. Ya I think if he falls that far you almost have to trade up for him. -
This should be the Bills plan at Qb

I also watched him play two of the worst games I have ever seen a QB play live his freshman year, that may have tainted my opinion on him. Those 5 star guys that get coddled their entire careers also scare me a bit too. I am not saying he is not a good QB prospect, If he fell to the 8-10 range I would be okay moving up for him. I agree he is cerebral, I agree he has good fundamentals. There is nothing about his physical ability I don't like. I just think the turnovers, injury history, and lack of leadership are enough for me not to want him in the top 5 with a trade up. If we were there already it may be a different story. I also have a mid to late first round grade on both Darnold and Rosen. -

I would be all for trading up to the #2 spot if I believed in a guy, but I don't. I think this draft has a lot of really good QBs but no great ones. I don't see much separation between the top 5 guys. -

I think Cutler is probably his floor and Eli is probably his ceiling. He also lost all of his road games this past season which is a bit concerning for me. I know I am on the negative side of Rosen evaluation but I feel all the great QBs have an unmatched passion for the game. Brady, Brees, Wentz, and Rodgers all carry themselves a certain way. Rosen does not seem to be that type of guy, I also have never met him so it is solely based of the media. -

For me he is because of his turnovers, injuries, and demeanor. When I watch Rosen I see Cutler. His arm talent and footwork are outstanding but he has very costly turnovers and does not seem to elevate the play of his teammates. I think he will be a starter in the league and may even have a few years with probowl numbers but if the game is on the line I will take Mayfield over Rosen every time. Also, trading for picks 5-10 is much easier than trading into the top 4. -
1) Try to sign Kirk Cousins- Bring him in and see if he is a believer in what Sean McDermott is doing. I would offer him a similar contract to Carr and Stafford. If he is trying to be a 30 million per year guy, I'm out. 2) Sign a lower level Vet and trade up to the top 5-10 for Mayfield- I think Mayfield is the best QB prospect in the draft, if he was two inches taller he would be the unquestioned number 1 QB in the class. Darnold and Rosen are much riskier prospects than Mayfield and I am not willing to trade up into the top 5 for either of them. I think both number ones and a number 5 should get it done. I would be willing to part with one assesst in next years draft if need be. 3) Sign one of the Vikings QBs and try to trade down to early round two. In round two I am drafting either Rudolph or White, hopefully I get to pick my favourite of the two. I would be comfortable with any of those QB situations heading into next season.
