If the Jets get Allen and the Bills get Rosen I will be happy on draft day. We should be the best team in the AFCE when Brady starts to decline in that scenario.
Very true, it is almost guaranteed that the order the QBs are drafted will not be the order of the best to worst QBs in the NFL.
I know that our staff is a lot smarter than the Jets staff, hopefully that plays out right and the Jets don't get lucky.
I don't think any players are worth 17 million a year unless they play QB. If I was the Steelers I would trade him. He could be replaced by a running back in the first round this year and their offense wouldn't skip a beat.
I am hoping the Bills are all in on Rosen.
Mike White is going to be a decent starter in the league in a few year though. He probably won't be a top 15 guy though.
I would say there were a few surprises:
Hurst, Guice, Alexander, Daniels, Gesicki, Moore
All guys I have first round grades on.
That happens every year though.
Wow three TEs to finish off the first round.
I would be be very happy if the Pats drafted Andrews. He isnt athletic enough to be a great TE in the NFL.
I am not okay with letting the Jets get Rosen. If their target is Allen, we don't have to move up to 2. If it's Rosen, we absolutely have to pay the premium to move up.
I think Darnold and Rosen are the consensus top two. Then there is a gap to Mayfield who is a very good QB prospect. Then there is another gap to a big cluster of QBs. Those guys are more of a pick your flavour type situation. That cluster would be Rudolph, Jackson, Allen, and White. Some may throw Falk and Lauletta in that category as well. This is a very deep QB class. There will be a starter from the later guys for sure.
Great post!!!
Seems like you agree with with most of the media outlets.
This is the deepest QB class since 2004. I'm excited to see who becomes a Bill.
With the 13th pick the San Diego........... I mean Los Angeles Chargers select Vita Vea DT Washington.
As an organization we believe we are a DT away from a championship team. We will stop the run next year. Good luck against Bosa, Ingram, and Vea.
Very true, it is pretty rare for the order the players come off the board to be the order of their rankings in the NFL. These guys will be ranked much differently in 3 years.
I am taking a defensive prospect if the top three QBs are off the board.
I would take Edmunds, Ward, Vea, or Davenport if any of them fell.
If none of those guys are on the board I think Alexander, Smith, or one of the top OTs are the pick.
