We have a championship vision in place. Now it’s about executing the plan. It’s sounds like they knew this year would likely be a building season. 2019 was about fixing the cap and finding a franchise QB. I think it was very successful and I have never been more optimistic about an offseason. This staff also is willing to admit their mistakes and grow from them. We have a front office that gives us a chance to win it all. Half of the NFL front offices are dumpster fires right now. We are finally out of that category.
I would put Taylor, Brown, Peterman, KB, and Ducasse in that category as well. He doesn’t settle for below average play, but does give the guys a fair chance.
I’m not a huge fan of Alabama oline either. If he is not an elite pass blocker I don’t want him top ten.
Good point, Daboll should know if he is elite or not.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like anyone is even close to his level in this years draft. It is suppose to be deep at OT though. I’m leaning to WR in round 1 and OT in round 2.
They all had pretty solid rookie seasons. Mayfield looks like the only sure thing right now though. It depends on what type of QB you like when ranking the others. Rosen probably had the worst rookie season of the bunch.
That probably matches up with most QB evaluators.
9 or 10 should provide us with a good OL, WR, or trade down.
It’s a really deep class. We can find a good one in the second or third. I’m more worried about OL.
Shaq had a nice game. I love how Mills stands up for his teammates. I wish he was a bit more talented. I would be fine with him being a swing tackle for us next year.
Dude has Randy Moss type athletic ability. Without the injuries he probably goes top 5. It would be a shock if he went round 2.
Right now I’m hoping for Metcalf round 1 and Cajuste round two
I am not bitter about the EJ pick. I think his ceiling was a top 20 starter. He was more of a game manager than a play maker. His ball placement was just okay but did improve a lot while he was here. He was always a little too slow to diagnose the play and didn’t create many plays. I don’t think the coaching did him any favours though, he should have at least developed into a good backup QB imo.
Thats a routine catch for a back up TE. Kelce brings that down 99% of the time.
Also, the ball speed was fine. There were probably 10 throws on the season that were uncatchable due to ball speed. That wasn’t one of them.
