I hope Allen is the guy, if not we will be in a good position to draft Lawrence by then.

The talent in this draft at WR does not match up well with our draft position. I think we see the Bills add dline in round 1, OL in round 2, and TE in round 3. This seems to be a much stronger TE class than WR class. I wouldn’t mind adding a WR like Anthony Johnson in round 4 or 5. I think the Bills address WR in free agency. I am hoping for John Brown and Adam Humphries.

There are usually two or three guys I don’t want to draft. This year is just tough to find guys I would want to draft. It would be easier if there was a standout OL or WR. I’m not 100% sold on Williams either. Why does no one like Gary? I saw a little bit of Aaron Donald in him. He played DE in college though, not sure how he would be as a 3 tech. -

That might be the smart pick if he is there. I’m trying to find a second option if he is not. I think I would prefer going with one of the OTs in round 2 rather than Williams in round 1 (unless they draft him as a guard). -

For me the better question is who do I want the Bills to pick. I don’t know if I’m sold on any of the top ten prospects. Maybe the DE from Clemson? I really like some of the OTs in round 2. -
Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
billspro replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he should be our number 1 free agent target. He probably went to Baltimore because of Flacco. With Jackson at QB I could see him wanting out because they will be a run oriented offence. Allen has the Arm to utilize his speed. I would like us to go after Brown and Humphries in free agency. Then we can focus on oline and TE early in the draft. -
QB room is set for 2019. They might bring someone in for 2020 if Allen doesn’t play well next year. I think we have our guy though. We need to build the team around him.

Looking forward to it. Sounds like it is a weaker QB year. I have not watched them play yet though.

Article:. How Derek Anderson helped Daboll develop Josh Allen.
billspro replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Harsh but possibly true. He was a polished 5 year starter coming into the NFL last year. He is still a really good QB in this league even if he doesn’t improve much from here on out. -
I think you are completely wrong. Allen showed the ability to stand in the pocket this year and read defences. There are numerous examples out there, along with probably the best throw in the NFL this season against the Jags. That was not a knock on Darnold, as he showed some ability this year as well. Your comment makes me think you didn’t actually watch all of the Bills games. I can find lot of people that would agree with my take, including Carson Palmer.

Stephon Gilmore - first team AP All-Pro
billspro replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Usually, what the Pats do is put McCourty and a safety on the number 1 and Gilmore on the number 2. That was based on an article I was reading though. Gilmore also seemed to shadow Foster when we played them. I don’t know who our number 1 is though. -

I don’t think he is good enough to shut down a number 1 but he is good enough to shut down a number 2. That is how the Pats use him and it is another reason BB is the best coach in the NFL. Also, I think Foster did a good job against him. I think we can take advantage of the matchup next season. -
I think Allen is a much better prospect than Trubisky.

Good point Allen played well despite have an anemic rushing game outside of himself. He had to carry the offence every week and he handled that well for a rookie.

These analysts are making fools of themselves because they won’t admit they are wrong. I was not a fan of Allen predraft, but he played very well in the senior bowl and that made me question my e v a l. If they are not questioning their e v a l by now they will never get rid of their bias. Allen played better than Rosen and equal to Darnold as a rookie. Jackson is a different case. I think he will be good as long as his athletic ability is around. He could be RG3 or Kap, or he could be Vick. That is hard to predict.

He was the reason a lot of those guys made the roster. With the amount of players we kept because of their ST ability the unit should have been great. He was a poor teacher and a bad evaluator of talent.
