  1. I’m not saying he isn’t still good. He was probably the 4th best WR behind Thomas, Hopkins, and Hill. Prior to that he was the consensus best WR in the game. He still has a couple good years left too. When you get into year 4 and 5 of his next deal you will have some regrets if he didn’t get you a Super Bowl.
  2. That is how I see it. We would be lucky to have Taylor fall to 9.
  3. I don’t think he was getting the same separation as the previous 2 seasons. He was not the consensus number 1 WR in football last year. Might not have even been the best WR on his team.
  4. Just because he lost a step doesn’t mean he is not good. He was still a top 5 WR last year, but it was obvious he was not as good as the previous two years. There is no doubt he is on the decline of his career. He probably has one more year as a top ten WR and another year as a top 15. He is going to command huge money and a long term deal. It would have been a good short term move but a bad long term move. Also, we don’t need guys that don’t want to be here. If they don’t want to be here they are not going to give 100%.
  5. This is for the best. Paying 20 + million per year on a long term deal for a 31 year old WR who lost half a step last year would not have turned out well.
  6. That would work as well. I love Williams as a G. That might even be better than the oline I came up with.
  7. Yes, but I don’t want to hand Teller a starting spot. I’m definitely not an oline expert. But he has good feet for a RT, great size, and if he gets his hands on a defender they are completely out of the play.
  8. That would be a very good line. I would expect Long to beat out Teller though.
  9. Paradis in free agency, Jawaan Taylor in round 1, and a G in FA or the draft would have this line rebuilt in one offseason.
  10. I don’t think he would beat out Levi Wallace but it would be nice to have the depth. We can also trust this staff developing the secondary position.
  11. That was, but overspending in free agency never works out. That contract and Dareus’ contract are the reason our cap issues started. This is a low risk high reward move. Those are the signing I like to see in free agency.
  12. I do think Brown is a much more talented player than Solder.
  13. I don’t know what to think of him. He dominated us in both games last year. NE free agents are always scary. Their system always shows a players strengths and masks their weaknesses.
  14. I think Metcalf has a shot to be the best deep threat in the NFL. Definitely the best deep threat we have had since Lee Evans. He could be a great fit in this offense. I would prefer to fix the oline with that selection but if that is what Daboll wants for the offence I would be fine with it.
  15. He is definitely a risky pick but this regime took two boom or bust prospects in last years draft. I would rather draft a safer pick. Saying that Metcalf will probably have a floor of Tyrell Williams and a ceiling of Randy Moss. I wouldn’t be shocked if he busted and I wouldn’t be shocked if he was the next Moss. He is a very difficult prospect to project to the NFL.
  16. Whiteside, Isabella, and Butler are my favorites.
  17. All signs are pointing to oline imo
  18. That three cone number is a huge red flag. I would like to see him reduce his muscle mass and work on his flexibility. He is not training smart for a WR. He is training more like a body builder. I would hope Metcalf can get that three cone number under 7.00 by his pro day.
  19. He is a solid 2nd or 3rd TE. He is not coming here to start. They would probably still add another vet TE in free agency and a receiving TE in the draft. It would also be good for Daboll to get some of his guys in here.
  20. I’m neither. He should have a similar grade to the defensive players at that point of the draft. If the grades are that close I’m going oline because it has a much higher positional value. Second to QB imo.
