That’s fine, trade him out for Clowney. That’s the most they would get in a trade. They will probably get less. Even if they didn’t make that trade my mock would be the same. I would be fine with Clowney instead of Clark too.

This is not a safe mock draft, I am hoping the Bills take a swing for the fences and try to build a Super Bowl contender while we have Allen on his rookie contract. My goal for this draft was to leave with two elite NFL starters, two solid NFL starters, and some role players. 1st Round, pick 9- D.K Metcalf WR, Ole Miss Similar to last season the Bills land the most talented offensive player in the draft that has dropped due to injury and lack of tape. It is very lucky to land a prospect of this caliber at pick 9. Metcalf had over 80 yards receiving in 5 of the 6 games he played in and was on pace for about 1100 yards this season. I see his floor as Tyrell Williams and his ceiling as a mix of AJ Green and TO. Hopefully, he hits his ceiling. He is also a good blocker and a good teammate which should fit in with our culture. Round 2, pick 40- Tytus Howard, Alabama St One of the most physically gifted OTs in the draft, but he is very raw. It would probably be best to redshirt him for a year behind Nsekhe for a season until he has put on some mass and worked on his technique. He comes in year one as the swing tackle and is a franchise OT for us for the next decade after that. TRADE: The Buffalo Bills trade Trent Murphy and their 2020 2nd round pick to the Seahawks for Frank Clark. Don't worry defence, we haven't forgotten about you. The Bills help the Seahawks free up some cap space while giving them a starting DE in return. Round 3, pick 74- Khalen Saunders DT, Western Illinois An athletic DT with a low center of gravity and a nasty swim move. Hopefully, he will become a similar type of player as Javon Hargrave (one of my favorites a few years ago) on the Steelers. He adds to the DT rotation in year one and competes for a starting job with Harrison Phillips in year 2. Round 4, pick 131- Amani Oruwariye CB, Penn St Perfect CB for Sean McDermotts scheme. I see this as a position of strength and adding to the competition should make this a top five unit in the NFL. Trade: The Bills trade a 5th, 6th, and both 7ths to acquire an additional 4th round pick 4th Round, pick 115-125- Darrell Henderson Memphis The Bills land a very talented RB in the fourth round. He gets a season to learn from two of the best in the game and will likely beat out any competition for the starting role in year two. He will probably end up being a top 2 or 3 RB from this draft class. Similar player to Davonte Freeman. Round 4, pick 131- Maxx Crosby DE, Eastern Michigan Another elite athlete added to the mix, Crosby is one of the most athletic DEs in the entire class. He will start as a rotational pass rusher and has the ability to take over as a starter when Jerry Hughes leaves. Round 5, pick 158- Trevon Wesco TE, WVU Not the big name TE prospect we were hoping for. We add competition to the room this year and hopefully add an elite TE next year.

I think he is, I would put him at the same level as AJ Green coming out.

That would be tough if the draft fell that way, but it could definitely happen. I think the Bills are targeting Oliver, Metcalf, or White. Taylor and Hockenson are probably next up, it would really be a disappointing day if they missed out on those 5 elite guys.

Gunner's 2019 Draft Quarterback Evaluations
billspro replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m glad you still did this. I was too lazy this year because the Bills didn’t need a QB. -
I would say the biggest difference is college production. They are both physical freaks (Metcalf more so, 10lbs is a huge difference), Metcalf was dominating before getting injured this year. He was on pace for 1100+ yards before the injury. Conley was below 675 after a full season. Conley got over 70 yards once his final season. Metcalf was over 80 in 5 of the 6 games he played.

This is the best schedule we have had in a long time. 10-6 seems very reachable if we are playing good ball. I also think it’s time to split with the Pats, enough of this 0-2 garbage.

Most teams have a couple games they get gashed on the ground. The run D should improve with Phillips and Edmunds in year 2. There are also some good rotational DTs in round 2 and 3 that would help. Maxx Crosby in the 4th would be my ideal pick for addressing the pass rush. He is one of the most athletic DEs in the entire class. It also wouldn’t surprise me is Beane traded a 2020 2nd round for Clowney or Clark (which I would much prefer over a dlineman at 9, especially with Bosa and Allen off the board). There are better ways ways to address defence than using the number 9 pick. There is only one elite offensive skill player in this draft and that is Metcalf imo.

For me it comes down to Oliver, Metcalf, Taylor, and Hockenson. I don’t think Sweat is a legitimate option, he will probably be drafted in the teens. I think there is a chance we draft White too but I don’t think he falls to us. Oliver and Metcalf are both blue chip prospects, I would be happy with either.

Daniel Jeremiah mock #3 (Hockenson to Bills)
billspro replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
None of them are as good of a prospect as Hockenson. The only one that would grade close would be OJ Howard and he was pretty legit before getting injured last year. I think Hockenson is a top 10 TE in year one and a top 5 TE in year 2. -

Did you not watch this defence last year? Sweat or Gary are not going to be the difference between this being a good or bad defence. Those guys are rotational guys in year 1. -
Daniel Jeremiah mock #3 (Hockenson to Bills)

You will get it if we draft Hock, instant fan favorite. I don’t think you can win a Super Bowl without a top ten TE. An elite TE will bring you closer to becoming a dominant team than an elite DT (minus Aaron Donald). It might have if he caught that TD in the 4th quarter before the pick six. -

I think the Bills take Devin White in that situation, even though it’s not a need. -
That was a very interesting comment for sure. Unless Oliver falls I don’t think we are going dline.
-
His TE comment made me think Hockenson instantly. It’s always fun to go back after the draft and see if he gave any tidbits away.
-
Great job all around

It would only be worth it for me if he was Aaron Donald. I don’t think he is at that level. I would love to have him but losing a 2nd round pick is tough, that is the sweet spot in this draft. If we don’t get Allen some more help in rounds 1 or 2 this draft is a fail for me.
-
DTs tend to fall out of the top five in recent history. That is because of positional value imo. You made the right call, White is special.
-
It is nice to get one of the best guys in the draft but I would be a little disappointed we won’t be able to add anyone to help out Allen. If we don’t develop Allen properly the Williams pick will be a waste. I do hope we trade up on draft day though, hopefully it’s for an additional 2nd or 3rd and not to move up in round 1. Trading up in round 1 for a non QB backfires more often than not.

I would be willing to take a chance on Metcalf at 9. I don’t think the top dline will fall to us.
