My WR ranking through Week 1 of Camp.
billspro replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, but I also think Singletary is legit. He is going to beat out Shady at some point. It might be preseason, it might be half way through the regular season, or it might not be until the end of the year but it is going to happen. -

I hope Shady beats him out, that means the old Shady is back. Singletary has been looking great though so if Shady doesn’t play his best ball he will likely be gone. I think the Bills keep 5 RBs on the 53 with Shady as the starter still though. -

I’m not convinced McCoy is going to beat out Singletary at this point. That being said Daboll comes from the Pats system and the typically keep a lot of RBs and TEs. -
Adam Schein: Bills are a playoff team
billspro replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has a good track record with his predictions. He picked the Bears last year and the Jags the season before. I think he will be correct again, this team is ready to take a big jump. The Jets have a lot of talent too, I don’t think their coaching staff is good turn them into a playoff team though. -
Who Will Be Better in 2019 - The Bills or The Jets
billspro replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They do, we have a better oline, front 7, and secondary though. I think both QBs will do well this year. Unfortunately for them their skill position players won’t lead to lore wins. I’m glad we prioritized the lines. -
How much is cole beasly really loving the bills?
billspro replied to Lafromboise's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to take more short throws, no argument there. The Bills had the worst WR core in the league last year. There are advanced WR stats showing their separation in the bottom 5. Were there plays they were open? sure. Did Allen look for the homerun ball far too often? Yes. That will be one of the easiest things to fix, especially when you add a WR like Beasley. Really all Allen needs to do is take the short throws the defence is giving him and he will become an elite QB, he has all the talent in the world. -

I’m pretty sure Zay Jones said that play was his fault. That play doesn’t really show separation skills imo. -

Our slot WRs couldn’t get open last year. Beasley is going to be used frequently. -

The Draft Network: Josh Allen Review
billspro replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was out to lunch there. Allen throws a great back shoulder ball. -
He’s bad enough the Dolphins put him on the second team after a week of practice. The Bills backup oline this year would have all been starters last year. It’s going to be a huge improvement this year.

Will Frank Gore hit #3 All-Time this year?
billspro replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It wouldn’t surprise me if he put up a couple 100 yard games when we hit bad weather, so I think it will be really close. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - The Hopeless Optimist
billspro replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How exactly do you expect a team to take away the long ball and cover the QB scramble? I would love to hear some X’s and O’s for that. If there is a way to do that Allen is going to have the TEs and Beasley wide open and he will dice teams up. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - The Hopeless Optimist

Great post, add me to the cult too because I believe this team is headed for greatness. I actually think it will start this year with the playoffs and 2020 is going to be an AFC championship caliber team. Allen is the biggest reason for excitement. We watched him carry an Offence full of backup caliber NFL players on his back the last half of the season. He has the talent to succeed, the competitiveness to win games, and the leadership skills to elevate the play of the offence and the defence. So my only change is that you should be more excited Shaw, this team is ready to compete this season! -
Unfortunately Maybin was not a elite athlete. Below average NFL athlete and small is not a good combo.

Ed Oliver is the prototypical DT for the new NFL. It’s nice to see the Bills being progressive for once. It would not surprise me at all if he created QB pressure similar to Donald and Watt.

Leonard Williams available for trade?

They Jets are good at spinning their wheels. I remember when we used to do that with CBs and RBs. -
10 Buffalo Bills 2018 starters who could be off roster in 2019
billspro replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s battling for the ninth oline position. He is going to have to play great in training camp to get that spot. -
Cover 1: Analyzing the Bills’ Athletic Linebackers

Might be a Nigel Bradham type -
I actually think it is easier to evaluate guys on those type of teams. They are the focus of every team they go against without much help. A lot of player from Clemson and Alabama get vastly overrated because the whole roster is stacked, it’s much easier to produce in those situations because no one can focus on you. Same thing with Josh Allen last year, he had to carry an offence that was vastly overmatched most weeks.

I still think he could be a top 5 WLB in the NFL. I would have done that trade in a hear beat. I still don’t know why the Jets drafted him, you have to factor in your scheme when building a draft board. Similar to when the Bills thought Lawson was athletic enough to play OLB in a 3-4. Beane does an amazing job of finding talent that fits our scheme.

Could 2013 Have Been The Worst Ever Draft for QB's ??
billspro replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not just a bad year for QBs, it was one of the weakest draft classes in recent memory. But any class with Matt Barkley as the QB top prospect is a bad QB year. Not even a serviceable starter in that group.
