ROCKPILE REIVEW - The Bills Don't Have Quite Enough
billspro replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They definitely have better skill players than us. It would be hard to find 5 teams that have a worse WR and RB core than us. I dont agree with Mayfield outplaying Allen though. It was probably a wash, although Allen made more big time throws so I would give him the edge. -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.

The Brown throw was terrible, that would have been a huge play in the game. I think in general deep crossing patterns are his best throw. He had a great one to Brown on a rollout at the end of last game too. He is definitely not a pinpoint guy so he needs to hit lots of chunk plays to be effective. -
I don’t have any problem with that pass. If Josh hits that there is a good chance we get a TD. Josh does a good job throwing back shoulder so I have no problem with that throw with the game on the line. It worked against the Jets week 1, so you should have a problem with that call too. Either way Haushka needs to be reliable when we need him most.

100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.

Weird I thought those were often his best throws. I remember a big play to Knox and Foster just in yesterday’s game. I’m sure there are other examples as well. -

Doesn’t matter, Barkley is not winning a playoff game and may not even give us a better chance to win regular season games. Hopefully we can get in the playoffs either way but the only thing that matters is seeing if Josh is a franchise guy. This is likely not a Super Bowl year unfortunately. -

No you give Josh the season. If you bench him his time here is up and we have no QB going forward. Just pray he develops. Throwing those deep balls is a lot easier than some of the other throws he hits. His short accuracy improved a ton this year. Maybe he needs another offseason with Palmer to work on long ball accuracy. We need to give Josh the rest of the year to prove if he is franchise material. If not you bring in competition next year. -
I know the sky is falling...BUT (uplifting post)

If Haushka makes his two kicks and the staff had confidence to try that other 50 yarder we have 6 to 9 more points. Kicking is a huge concern as well. -
Tre White Most Important Player vs. Browns
billspro replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wallace can handle Landry. Tre White at least being even with OBJ will be key. Stopping the run will probably determine the game though. I think Johnson will fair well against him -
I think you are underrating the Brown a bit. This is going to be a very close game. Never easy beating a team with their backs against the wall.

True but cover 1 does a really good job figuring that out.

The turnovers made him look better than he was. He was put in many favourable situations last year. He was brutal when they played us and it was still a blow out. Ryan Fitzpatrick has a game like that two. These QBs all have NFL talent and can put up stats when they are hot. Consistency is more important to me.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - “Bottom Feeding”
billspro replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brown is putting up WR1 number this year. I’m not going to get on him for a drop. He is our biggest threat, hopefully Singletary can be another threat because we are desperate for playmakers right now. I just rewatched it and overall the offence was fine. They just need to cleanup some of the short yardage game. I think throwing a few play actions in there might be a good idea to stop teams from cheating on the run. I do wish they gave Josh a few more attempts but I understand why they went run heavy given the wind and their performance in bad weather the previous week. -
Josh Allen - week NINE report card
billspro replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He did get hit on the long ball, it was completely an arm throw. Amazing he was able to throw it that far without any legs. I hope the long balls connect soon though, they are fun to watch. He plays so similar to Big Ben the first couple years. I would be stoked if he became that good. I consider Ben a franchise guy. -
Josh Allen - week NINE report card

I wish Daboll called better game for him in the second half. The throw to John Brown to win the game was special. -
3-1 over the next four games
billspro replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this is going to be the week. I hope I’m right. If he doesn’t play well this week it will be concerning. I think our defence is going to put the offence in a lot of advantageous positions this week. -

I feel like Josh Allen is close. Hopefully, it clicks this week and we roll the next four games. -
Run Defense - Interesting Stats/Observations
billspro replied to mjt328's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The running game is just not a reliable way to win. We will probably have one other team rush well against us this year, it happens. -
Fosters ability to track the deep ball is frustrating. Maybe the wind made it difficult to track but he should have been in a position to make a play, he had lots of time. I also don’t agree with have McKenzie inactive, especially against a team that struggles with motion.
