He isn't running for too much of a big gain with 13 secs I wouldn't think...
-
Agree 100%. I stated in a thread after the Pats game that this was going to be the game Tre's absence will be felt the most. Which was no secret, but still....
-
You would think they would've done something after the 1st play. The 1st play is what alerted them to how Bills would defend it. Kelce said it himself mic'ed up in that other thread..."they gona defend like that middle gona be wide open" something along those lines.
-
For me, I would have played them them no different the last 13 secs than how they were the whole time. Prevent the big 20+ yard gain. Keep them around the 10 yard range like they did basically entire game

Mic'd up: Kelce outsmarted McDermott/Frazier

Yeah definitely should have went for the 4th and 1. That's the one I remember begging for them to go for it. Other one, even at mid field, being 4th and 4 can be tricky. But anyway, yeah there are areas he needs to improve for sure, but overall McD is better than he used to be -

I'm not sure about clearly should have went for it both 4th downs. I believe 1 of those 4th downs it was 4th and 5 or so. I do recall 1 of them I thought they should have went and didn't. When 4th and 5 or more it's tougher decision -

I disagree....he has been going for it quite a bit more on 4th downs and been more aggressive than used to be. As for this recent KC game he did pretty well until the last there. -
I'm going to go with....score is same, BUT we win the coin flip

They started at their own 25 because Bass kicked it out remember...Bills played prevent D on both plays KC gained 20+ yards -

Well I mean they were in prevent the 1st play too though, but either way, baffling -

They needed more than 15. They were at the 25. -

Yup, basically whole secondary was and LB's were not far in front of em. -

Not just Levi, but just about everyone on D and coaches should notice that. I mean it's only the best TE in the league -
McDermott end of season press conference

It does matter because they used 2 of them. That's why I said they should have keep with the same D they played all game. That way likely would have kept KC at gaining 8-12 yards in those 2 plays using their time outs instead of them gaining 20+ yards using time outs. See what I'm saying? Instead they changed Defensive play call to prevent and everyone fell too far back thus giving up 2 BIG plays in a row. Entire premise of Bills D was to eliminate KC from making big plays. They picked a hell of a time to go away from that. -

Makes no sense...That's sole reason I pointed out the 3 time outs they had. That's why you keep playing same D. Not to mention who the QB was. They would have likely had minimal yards damage if they stuck with the same Defensive play calling they did entire game. Bills played D to prevent big yardage plays. -
Agree. I think this is part of the reason this one stings more (to some of us) than the forward pass, Monday night close losses etc because everything was coming into shape for us. If it had worked out like many of us thought, we'd host AFCCG and feel very confident about our chances against Bengals and NFC winner.

McDermott end of season press conference
Patrick Duffy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just a question, because imo it was defensive play calling and not so much execution....the entire game Bills D played to prevent KC from getting big plays which they did for most part. So why go away from that with 13 secs left and more importantly with 3 time outs? Going with that call allowed KC 2 quick 20+ yard plays -
Yeah 100% agree regarding the Frazier talk. Just saying the defense called during that 13 sec factored about the same as not squib kicking did imo. I really feel it was the Defensive play calling the 13 sec and not anything executed poorly or not. With 13 on the clock only needing a FG along with all of their TO's, I was/still am baffled at Defense called. 3 time outs is main thing for me, made no sense the D falling that far back in what certainly seemed like prevent to me. When considering not only the QB we were defending, he also had his time outs. In that situation it's no question to stay with the same D you've played all along imo

Sean Payton stepping down as the Saints coach
Patrick Duffy replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, going to be much different without him on that sideline. He's been there for a good while. -
Even when unexpected chances are still very low to recover. Then you give them the ball at mid field making it easy to get in FG range. Also I can only imagine the heat he'd get from calling that and it not working

How many chances does McDermott have left?
Patrick Duffy replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don't know if they will lose to KC next year, but if it happens McD won't be fired. A while back it was said Reid choked in big moments too.
