New nickname for our guy Matt Araiza
Patrick Duffy replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was said while back when that was discussed that the QB2 takes more time/reps with 2nd team or whatnot. Something along those lines.... but anyway -
The 2nd Wave of Free Agency Starts Today at 4PM
Patrick Duffy replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, not sure what happens with Jerry, but my heart wants him to possibly win a SB here. However, they might be ready to let the younger guys take over. -
Yeah without question he's an upgrade over Kumerow. I have a hard time seeing it happening though.

I think Greg Rousseau becomes an elite pass rusher in 2022
Patrick Duffy replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not necessarily, depends on the situation and if there's better personnel than it was previous season surrounding can play a factor. Anyway, I do think he's going to take a jump, but no idea how big though -
Between those 2 names I'm not sure which one to feel good about, maybe neither..... Julio hardly ever plays and you know how OBJ is, also OBJ coming off that injury would be a concern.

Patrick Duffy replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know about "elite"...but I do definitely believe he will improve, maybe quite a bit. With addition of Miller and improvement from the DT's in the middle (hopefully)....he will certainly have the chance to be a bigger force. That in consideration I'd be surprised if he didn't take a bit of a leap and make lots of plays. -
Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State
Patrick Duffy replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some post here and there concerned about him as holder on FG attempts, which I get it since he hasn't had to do it yet. That being said, I don't share that same amount of concern. I think it's something he will learn fairly quickly and will do just fine because I think we can all pretty much agree that Haack likely won't be around much longer. Also it's not extremely difficult to get the hang of it. -
Wasn't risky at all to me. The LT's I had #1 and #2 both came off board so after that looking at the LT's that were left and going back and forth which one, I went with 6ft7 325. He's a beast of a player and can be coached up to a fine LT
-
Yeah I still think you're either way wrong or confused. You said he was a RT, I showed you he played LT. One of Panthers biggest needs is LT. He also is ranked as one of the better LT. Hence the reason I selected him. With 2 of the top LT already off the board when I picked, I went with the one with the extra size. Not sure where you are getting your info but may want to take a 2nd look
-
You mean RT...info I linked it says he played LT 31 of 33 games. So not sure why that poster assumed I didn't know what I was doing lol
-
You're SADLY mistaken my fine feathered friend....You must have him confused with another player I guess? That or you're just got it dead wrong.. but here ya go... https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/04/20/nfl-draft-final-big-board-top-262 17. Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (rSR, 6'7", 325 pounds) Penning plays to the echo of the whistle and has the tenacity and nasty demeanor that will endear him to his coaches. He has prototypical size and length, outstanding strength and athletic feet. While he has primarily started at left tackle (31 of 33 starts) and could succeed there at the next level, he may be even better on the right side

Kyle Brandt will announce Bills 3rd round pick
Patrick Duffy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well if Hall is selected round 2 would be the earliest round it happens . So maybe you will get the best of both worlds and Berman ends up announcing it -
OT…Steelers legend Devlin “Duck” Hodges retires
Patrick Duffy replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol, I'd love to have kind of money he has and nobody wanted me so I could retire. Anyway, seriously though...He would be the starter for Panthers probably. Seattle too easily. Maybe a couple other teams with sad QB situations, those were 2 off top of my head. -
Oh sorry...I thought Falcons was after me. My bad
-
Definitely can see them going OT. While it would be hard to pass up on Hutchinson, got to keep their QB protected....

OT…Steelers legend Devlin “Duck” Hodges retires
Patrick Duffy replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol, this was 1st thought I got when I read thread title and was going to mention it too. The almighty Duck was best kept secret QB2 and was said to be better than Josh Allen... Lol, that will be a hard one to forget -
The Panthers were originally wanting to take a swing picking QB Willis obviously with the current QB situation in place. Unfortunately Lions got there 1st. Although while a QB is greatly needed, Willis was the only one we were willing to take the chance with 1st round pick... So Panthers will start up front and improve the OL for when the time comes we find that special someone in a QB he will be well protected.... With the 6th pick-Panthers select ---Trevor Penning OT Northern Iowa. Falcons @GunnerBill are on the clock.
-
Lol, he wants it so bad it's as if it's already happened
-
Yup, they will do these types of things to get any advantage possible to increase the chances to get the guy they want
-
If he is our pick it likely won't be with their 1st pick. Never can tell for sure so I guess anything can happen. But I highly doubt
-
Agree. I think with the addition of Duke we will be fine, especially as long as the OL continues where they left off toward end of last season. Also I feel confident the OL will be better than they were those last games too. Exactly.....I don't understand why some aren't taking this into consideration...

Josh Allen is built for Buffalo
