It's not going to buy time if the Oline can't hold up long enough for the play to develop. That's my point....we hve been seeing Josh run for his life lately and now Dawkins is out.

Been very disappointing in how the situation turned out with RW and Denver. Have to wonder how much of it is RW and how much is Hackett?? I just have a hard time believeing RW is really that bad this fast.

I get it, I'd love for the screen game to begin to have some success. As for the flea flicker, I don't know how much confidence I'd have that the Oline would hold up enough for that. Specially right now with Dawkins out

No likely to it lol. Definitely would be the fix. Hope Poyer stys healthy rest of the season. Hope all goes well to where Hyde has a shot to get back sometime in the playoffs

Agree, could use 2 RBs at times with 1 helping block and sending the other against the LB. I'm sure we will likely see some of it all with TE/RB helping in the back field. Will be paying close attention to how Dorsey handles this situation. Guess we'll see a little of how much he's learned so far as OC

I think it's more than the elbow myself. I mean, don't get me wrong here....definitely would say the injury plays a part for sure. However I think it's something else also, possibly his confidence to a little drop and also Dorsey may have toned it down with some of the play calls during this time. Reason why I say this is some of the passes from Josh (ex. 40 yd dart to Diggs where only Diggs could get it) where it seems to me the elbow isn't bothering him quite as much, which I'm extremely happy about.

Maybe so, but I'd guess 2 of best S's out could probably be the biggest reason. Also while TJ has had some ups and downs, I think he's been solid considering the situation. The main one struggling the most is Dane Jackson imo

When both your players at S position that are one of the best in the league, if not the best and have been missing majority of the time then it tends to impact the secondary. Expected them to struggle some

Yeah Dawkins absence will be felt for sure. Might see a bit more quicker passing attack and RBs/TEs helping on that left side. If they can be better with the screen plays this is a good time to do it

Overall the Oline has been fairly decent. I believe they are quite a bit better than some seem to suggest. I know there are areas that need to improve for sure. You mentioned specifically T and G....Specifically the last 2 games with S. Brown out, it looked to me DQ was better in both pass and run blocking. While there's definitely room for improvement, I just don't feel it's as terrible as some make it out to be. Would you say the Oline so far is better or worse than last season?

I tend to agree with you. As long as Josh continues to have help surrounding him and solid Oline there's no telling how wide it can be. Defense has always been competitive under McD so that's likely not to change much. Don't want to take it for granted though because something could happen and that window can close pretty fast. But definitely going to enjoy every minute of it while it last

I did read entire post. Of course he's improved. I didn't say or imply you denied such improvement. I specifically referred to the part of your post that said, "he has trouble with one on one tackling". That's why I put that particular sentence from your post in bold. Not sure how you must have misinterpreted that or if you may have mixed my post up with a different person? Anyways....just wanted to clarify....

I have seen him make some good one on one tackles this season. Some of them being big time hits. So not sure about that

Yeah probably just one of those minor things that have to be reported by rule and was more or less going to be a vet rest day anyways.. Doesn't Von usually have vet rest on Wednesday's and doesn't practice? I'm not sure how often, but I think I've seen vet rest quite often listed for him on Wednesday practices.
