Some posters say this a lot when a contract year comes up for a player. I mean if considering the circumstances regarding the situation the upcoming contract year and there's no significant difference from last year(s).... I just ask do you really believe said player just because of his contract year will now light it up and have his record year suddenly?
-
Yeah for the perception of some that's true and there are some others it's not. He improved a some last season with addition of Von Miller and when healthy, at the same time though I'm not sure there was all that big of a gap in performance between the players in that particular position for the most part really. Each one of them made some plays, Jones, Settle, Oliver, and Jordan P made plays, especially when healthy and before Von went down. Honestly I don't recall it being much difference in performance from one to the other. Not enough to brag about anyways imo

Lol, of course not... in reference to those certain silly type kind of trades some post once in a while, something like "Cam Lewis sucks, should trade him and at least get a 3rd". Only thing I can think of off top of my head that comes close, but also was unexpected and surprised many people, was the Tyrod trade when Beane got a 3rd few years back. But that's about it

Lol, I think about that often when reading some of these trade scenarios that are posted. I don't understand why the ones that post those type of trade scenarios don't seem to take that into consideration...

Do you guys feel right about FA/Draft and the "Process" ?
Patrick Duffy replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never know what will happen throughout the season that can significantly hurt any teams chance to make the post season and go far. As for the Bengals and Chiefs you mentioned though, I'd think they are likey 2 favorites to make the AFCCG -
Agree, thought Settle made some plays too. I mean I'd guess he played about as well as anyone else on the Dline. Not much difference to make a big deal about imo

RD 5, Pick 150: WR Justin Shorter, Florida
Patrick Duffy replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ah yes....Lol I got the wording backwards. -
Well, that's certainly what the hope is....although the Dline did improve some last season (which is great and in the right direction), but also struggled a bit more than you'd want to see. Obviously the importance of this trickles down to the LBers. We saw how Edmunds improved last season and the Dline improvement certainly played a factor in that. Now we are between Dodson, Spector etc as of now and if that's the same when season starts then even greater the importance because the LBers may need all the help they can get.

Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”
Patrick Duffy replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well yes, however you also may want to at least to some extent take into consideration that you can't always go by what Beane says at times -

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
Patrick Duffy replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean maybe I guess.... But I'm not sure there's much of anything that would make them like him. Maybe if they go back to the college tape? Certainly didn't show very much, or any kind of promise during the few opportunities he had so far. -

Not sure, but when attempting to get a team to consider that trade, Benard possibly hurts more than helps if wanting to make an offer look interesting lol -
Prolly not very much I'd guess

Pretty cool ass name to have growing up..... ~whenever hitting on the ladies it be like...."I'm Dalton...Dalton Kincaid baby"
-
Lol, did make me think that the possibility might be a little stronger of an Oliver trade maybe
-
This exactly. Agree 100%.

I never really get too excited over any draft pick no matter what round the selection 1st-7th. That being said, this kid is built like a sh*t brickhouse at 6'4" and first thing that comes to my mind is how simular he looks to those DK Metcalf photos couple years back. Would be amazing if he turns out the same way Metcalf has....but anyways, he certainly has the build. -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Patrick Duffy replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
What's that got to do with him not attending 1st day of voluntary activity? You said if he's not going to show up then he needs to keep his mouth shut, implying that recently he's done or said something Yeah the heat of the moment can get you sometimes..... -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?

I think it started back when Vikings traded him and then it was said his attitude was an issue. Then after couple years of being in Buffalo so many here were posting (and I vividly remember this) about Vikings and the attitude issues that got said was B.S. During all that time the attitude talk changed to him being a great leader. -

Shut his mouth about what? I don't know what you think he needs to shut his mouth about? I'm not aware of much of any statements etc from him for him to shut his mouth about? Statement doesn't make sense to me here.... Also not sure how you came to the conclusion he blamed everyone but himself for loss? -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Patrick Duffy replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
There may be more wrong statements in your post, but figured to just address the very first sentence... His availability was a big reason for falling because he had a good amount of injuries. Also Maryland had a poor passing game which limited him. https://247sports.com/college/maryland/Article/How-Did-Stefon-Diggs-Fall-to-Fifth-Round-of-NFL-Draft-47607699/ The guy gets frustrated and rightfully so from a playoff game that some players seemed to say ***** it. So for him being frustrated from a crap game and when the embarrassment was finally over and the game ended his emotions likely were the same as what we all as Bills fan had. But because it's Diggs some say now he's an attitude problem. smh -

So did you feel it wasn't a good look any of the previous years when he also didn't go to the 1st "voluntary" activities then too? Or is it now all of a sudden you think it's a bad look only because he was frustrated how players didn't even show up and at the end of the embarrassing game he showed too much emotion for you're liking....so now all of a sudden you feel it's not a good look for him Am I spot on here, or close enough? -
Sean McDermott excited about calling the Defense
Patrick Duffy replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone's guess about what exactly went down, but from what was made public it certainly seemed it was handled very respectfully by Bills. -
