Practice fight (8/15) - Helmets are swinging
Patrick Duffy replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, will start to have a feeling of hope and some confidence knowing we are much stronger together as one when facing tooth decay. Although with many more inevitable casualties in the ongoing battle against tooth decay and the fight is far from over, we have only the satisfaction of this small victory in just one of many steps in the war. -

Yeah, but still sometimes certain things can be kinda pointless to discuss lol -

Yeah for sure, he gets a hard time about his size at times, but from all indications it seems he's been having a pretty good camp. -

I fully understand when that's the way it's viewed and expectations are reasonable. What I mean is there were some that posted how confident the Oline definitely will be much improved. -

Well regarding the Oline, I think some ppl (a general observation, not directed at you or anyone specific) expectations kinda got a bit too high when the couple new guys signed. Really though when looking at the couple of new signings that addressed the Oline it's difficult to honestly think it will be a whole lot of improvement. -

Yeah I can see why it's contradicting in a sense, one tweet he says he is "exclusively" getting the KR work, which I assume means at that specific time that's all he's getting reps at -
I understand wanting to get a closer look at Bernard, that's expected. I'm talking about that report the guy believes it's down to Bernard and Dodson. So I'm wondering why/what it is that gives him that impression? Is it only due to today that McD decided it was time to get a closer look? Now that today Bernard is getting some extra reps so McD gets a closer look, from that he gets that it's down to Bernard and Dodson?

Everyone that plays the game of football should block and will block

Wonder why he thinks Bernard? Didn't know Bernard has been better than Spector/Klein. If a RB that has some size would knock him 5 yards back and run him over like a truck if he meets Bernard up the middle.
-
Agree, only thing I can guess is maybe they are just going to have him learn both positions?
-
You don't think so at all? I'd say compared to previous years they most certainly have

Outside of MLB, Where are the Bills Worse in 2023?
Patrick Duffy replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hope so at some point. I know there's not much to go off of to get an idea, but I'm not sure the amount of reps he's had with the 1's so far in TC, but I thought I saw a report that Dodson started pulling ahead of the others a bit and getting most of the reps as of now? -
I don't recall such a thing either, buddy is confused or making it up to try messing with you.

It would eliminate the satisfaction of confrontation

I've never heard of that one so I don't know who that is, but will check it out sometime..... Just wanted to mention another one that's VERY interesting that you probably are already familiar with, but I'd suggest one that really needs to be seen is Dr. Steven Greer "Unacknowledged". That one in particular has quite a bit of information that gets your full attention and will always remember.

What Would Happen if the Bills Cut Damar Hamlin? (Dan Patrick)
Patrick Duffy replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand why you say he's a sellout? But in any event, when your all pro S goes down it's hard not to expect a drop off. -
While I agree for the most part from their offense last season, however I'm interested to see what happens this season now that teams have studied their offense and knowing how to defend it better.

Patrick Duffy replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure I'd stretch it quite that far, I mean there's really nothing much to base off of either way good or bad this early in TC just first day in pads. Some reports from the padded practice made it seem as if he was struggling quite a bit. But anyways, you're right regarding last year and his injuries, which had an affect also in Kromer not having the amount of time with him that he needed. He will get that time this time around as long as there's no more set backs. So hopefully it will make a difference -
Yes of course, not sure if you were necessarily directing that to me or just mentioning for general purposes, but I didn't say anything about or even implied regarding Benford. To be clear though I do agree with you, however my question was simply if the poster I quoted did or did not feel Elam's play improved those last games of the season
-
So you didn't answer the question that doesn't pertain to any of those things you mentioned above. Did you or did you not see his play on the field improve the last stretch of the season? But I'll respond to your statement anyway, so no disrespect intended here, you kinda contradicted yourself a bit....you said "we have no idea any details in film room, practice etc" ...although you seem to be suggesting he has a lack of scheme knowledge and he's not where the staff wants etc. You can't say nobody knows what goes on in the film room etc and then follow it up with him having a lack of knowledge in the film room and how staff feels about where he's at...
-
Not to jump into you guys conversation, but I'm curious because I assumed everyone basically agreed that Elam improved quite a bit toward the last quarter of last season which was encouraging at least to some degree.... So I'm just wondering did you not think he showed improvement down that stretch?
