  1. I'd like to see Stevenson be the main guy. That way don't have to add that extra risk factor with McKenzie
  2. I kinda get both sides of it. Some feel he hasn't lived up to expectations yet, or at least been more of an "impact MLB" than they feel he has considering he was a high pick at least by now in his career. Some feel he has done enough and for now are satisfied with it due to he's such a young MLB and still has much to learn. I get that too. With all that said, where I stand with it is I'm not ready to write him off just yet. Obviously he had a rough go last season but also acknowledge he was injured for a lot of last season too, which I feel even the ppl that's pretty much done with him can agree that injury played at least a sizable part in that. So in conclusion, for me I want to see a hopefully healthy season this time and also hope he has learned more.
  3. I'm kinda leaning that way but at same time realize it is possible he could in the future. You stated as a "true #1 as commonly understood". Curious as to what you would commonly understand as a true #1. For instance to me a true #1 WR comes to mind, I think of a player that has reliable hands, good route runner that has awareness of not only where he is on the field and makes the tough catches, but also smart enough to take advantage of different defenses. Also has speed, although does not have to be the fastest, and can separate well. With that said, Davis has shown he has alot of that already. I understand he needs work on separation, but I think he will improve that also. If he can keep all that up going forward, I mean he could certainly have a good shot at being a #1 WR sometime in the future. Idk, just my 2 cents
  4. Well one things for sure, as long as Diggs is on this roster Davis won't be the #1 WR, or even competing for #1WR. I think we can all agree on that... so that means it would depend on how some things go between now and then. Whenever the time comes that Diggs leaves (hopefully a good 4 years at least) if Davis is still there and has continued to improve throughout that time to be a #1, or compete for it. imo he's just got to improve the separation part of his game the most, but has to be a pretty clear improvement. Everything else he does is good and can still get even better at that. He is definitely a very good, young, up and coming WR for sure. But if he can get to the point he can separate with the best of em, it is very possible he could be a #1 WR in the future.
  5. Lol, I think he probably can't wait to tear it up. He knows he's going to have a blast on this offense. I look forward to it seeing it.
  6. I don't know about a #1WR. It's possible I guess later in his career. I do think he can be a strong #2 though. In any event, I think Beane got one hell of a WR. I'm sure many didn't expect him to play so well as fast as he did. I mean as a rookie, the kid literally came out the gate making plays last season. He may have trouble with separation at times, but he's got good, reliable hands and also he's always aware where he is on the field which is also important for a WR. That's also impressive as a rookie he already had that type of field awareness and it shows making those mouth dropping tip toe catches on side line in bounds like that. Those type of things kinda makes up for what separation issues he has at times (which I think that will also improve going forward). So with all that said, I guess it would depend if he's still with the Bills after Diggs time is up. If so, by that time it's possible he could compete for the #1WR depending on what WR's are on roster by then.
  7. Agree, have considered Jones a lock myself. I know some don't, but hard for me not to see him on this team
  8. Was actually going to post basically what you did in bold. Didn't see it at first because I kinda just skimmed through it, but yeah anyways, was going to say I won't be surprised to see Hollister become the starting TE and might could be early in the season. Guess we will see how much it may have helped, if any at all, Knox's off-season training with...(think it was ping pong balls or something?) did for him.
  9. Gotcha....I must say though regarding Ford that imo he has been a little disappointing anyway considering where he was drafted. Have just been hoping to see some improvement after some point. At least by now, or before now for that matter. Anyways, will see how it goes.
  10. Well yeah, you can't compare anything to Darnold anyways. And I agree, that staff did him no favors. Curious to see what he does in Carolina with a better staff (which pretty much every teams staff is better than Gase). Anyways, I agree he will struggle at times as expected with rookie QB's. Unless he surprises and has a rookie season similar to Herbert.
  11. I get your point and all, but I mean you're pointing out just 2 plays. Lots of players have a bad play or 2 throughout the course of a game. It happens. With that said, in your opinion, did the plays he did well doing his assignment out number those 2 bad ones that stick out to you?
  12. I agree with you in reference to Wilson. I mean it's obviously to early to get a read on him I know, however was just curious if he had done enough with the small sample you have seen to at least maybe make you feel optimistic. As for the bolded, to be fair, after the large buffet plate of wildebeest ***** Gase and co served up for a while....I'd assume Jets fans would likely feel better with just about any new staff at this point lol
  13. Yes I do. And has nothing to do with preseason. Although he did look good. I'm not in any way basing my opinion off that. He's an experienced QB that was a starter until now and could still be a starter on some teams. Regarding the bold, name those 10 back up QBs that you think is better.
  14. K well he did play whole 1st quarter. Oh man that cross body throw to Bease was very impressive!
  15. They mentioned he could play entire 1st qter. But yeah there's no need for that
  16. May have to get White out soon. Wasn't that him that was slow getting up?
  17. Think he meant more in lines of Diggs as a good one to learn from in his rookie year onto present
  18. Thought I heard them say he could play the entire 1st qter. I hope not that long though
