What do you eat on the days it happens and how close to bed? Also, I believe a huge contributing factor is indeed sleep apnea. I have noticed when I jolt out of a near paralyzation that I have stopped breathing and have confirmed with my wife. I awake and am dragged literally back into consciousness as I regain my 1st breathe every time. Sleep deprivation is another important factor as your Pineal gland is affected and is in charge of producing Melatonin which helps with our circadian rhythms. This Melatonin production is wonked up effectively causing the same effect that indigestion does!
