Jeremy White: All-22 Review - Bills at Jets
gomper replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I so agree w/ this. I know JW puts plenty of work into these, but he really provides little insight.Anyone with an Internet connection and the time can do this. How about JW watches the All-22 of every game of KC, then tell us how the Chiefs will attack. Or better yet, just go away. His show is horrible. -
I know a lot of people don't like Mike. His attitude can be too much at times but this is where he is pure gold. GR could only wish they had someone like him.

Didn't see this posted yet. Should be fun http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/10/24/documentary-film-offers-50-years-of-the-grateful-dead/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0

Breaking Bad: Hope You Stocked Up
gomper replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Damn! I wish I knew they had sold these. Would have made a great x-mas gift for a friend of mine lol. Of course, if your kids don't like action figures and haven't decided on what to be for Halloween, maybe this will help! https://www.google.com/search?q=breaking+bad+halloween+costumes&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=711&tbm=isch&imgil=T3ngyM5mvMHcFM%253A%253Btdnlud0Ibv7ilM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.huffingtonpost.com%25252F2012%25252F09%25252F27%25252Fbreaking-bad-halloween-costume-for-kids_n_1918643.html&source=iu&pf=m&fir=T3ngyM5mvMHcFM%253A%252Ctdnlud0Ibv7ilM%252C_&usg=__ypPbySISJ6-ViPU0MvLcGewHf7o%3D&ved=0CFgQyjc&ei=T4lIVKbfFIa4yQSovoDAAQ#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=T3ngyM5mvMHcFM%253A%3Btdnlud0Ibv7ilM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fi.huffpost.com%252Fgen%252F790592%252Foriginal.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.huffingtonpost.com%252F2012%252F09%252F27%252Fbreaking-bad-halloween-costume-for-kids_n_1918643.html%3B478%3B640 -
Announcers for Bills/Jets game
gomper replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a thought. You'll need a DVR and a CPU. Stream the audio online which should have a 30-40 second delay. Pause the DVR at the whistle of the opening kickoff. You should be good to go. Keep in mind that the internet feed can vary at times through the game, but I found this most effective. -
Had a recruiter call me yesterday
gomper replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in Off the Wall Archives
As someone who has done my share of hiring.....allow me to give some advice. Never. NEVER quote a # until parameters have been established. Not getting the answer you want? Feeling like your being BS'd? Ask to talk to his/her superior. If they are legit and interested in your ability, any boss worth a s will happily engage. The company will be happy they hired you. Have that attitude.....dont be a dick but be confident. Lord knows, I've hired more on balls than I care to count. It mostly works out. -
LOL if he makes to game 75 i'll be amazed
-
All good advice. Booze does help. Look at this way, you're waaay safer at 34000 feet with all the traffic being controlled around you than say...on the QEW. I mean, there are hundreds of people on the ground (controllers, supervisors, etc..) whose sole job that day is to make sure you land safely. Anybody care about your welfare on the QEW? Myself, I love flying (except for delays) and everything about it. The hum of the engines, the motion of the plane, the awesome view, etc. It's like being in the womb to me. I once slept from the tarmac in Philly to about 30 minutes out of SFO. Relax and try to enjoy.

EJ and Spiller for Geno and a First Rounder
gomper replied to rfk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lay off the pipe bro. You're getting delusional. #intervention. -
Among the things that bother me about this map is Dick Stockton being relegated to the Wash-Ari game. I wish he was doing the Bills. Best guy on FOX or CBS for that matter.
-
Please. Take the Bills emotion out of it. Put yourself in his situation. You, in your opinion, have been fired unjustly. You have a chance to stick to your former boss. Basically a middle finger in front of the nation. Over the top? A bit, but a nice "stick it to the man" moment.

Whoever took this...thanks!

Here....start your weekend off right....

Lost in this ugly loss was Frank called a beautiful game, despite losing Woodhead. The pick plays (I know, where's the flag) to using Gates as a decoy, to utilizing their backup TE #89.Had our D guessing all afternoon. That's the sign of a good OC.

Is Tony Soprano dead? Finally we have the answer
gomper replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I doubt that w/ Coco still at the dentist lol. Seriously, I doubt the Bennie or Casodo or god forbid little Paulie would have the brains to step up. I did like Butch. I loved how he was incredulous when Phil stated " There's no scraps in my scrapbook". LOL -

I always hoped for a movie but, obviously, we're beyond that now. Just curious, fellow Sopranos freaks, what direction do you think it would have taken? Chris and Bobby dead. Carlo going on the stand in the future. Only Pauly left. He's no council to replace Sil, that's for sure. NY beaten. Would have made an interesting movie. RIP James -
Ok, I'll weigh in. I swore off GR yeas ago but I decided to give them a fresh listen. Maybe things have changed. The AM show- I dont know if Howard is running out the clock until retirement but he seems bored. Never the most entertaining to begin with, he seems resigned to his fate. The "Golly gee" approach only gets you so far. Would have been better served as a beat reporter. I'm sure he'd admit to that. Jeremy W- Mr. "wait until I Google a stat to support my argument." I'll never forget years ago, when a caller complained about Whitner, and JW replied that he had as many INT's as Ed Reed (week 4 I believe) therefore was just as good. I laughed, the caller laughed and hung up on his own. He just talks and talks trying to find a nugget of gold.Pointless. An idiot for for sure, but even worse totally uninformative, lacking any original thought. The PM show- What to say about Schoop. He takes such a opposite, myopic view, and if you dont fit into that landscape, you dont get it. I actually think he is a good broadcaster but he is too walled-in by his attitude/management. Bulldog is a joke, we all know that. How he still has a career is totally amazing. Can't articulate. waste of airtime. Sal- Sorry guys....he sucks. Another boring mouthpiece of sewage. Wake me up when he says something not derived from another opinion. Joe B- He works hard. Great. Now go break a story w/ all that amazing access you have. I love how he says "Schefter tweets" or "Sal M of ESPN tweets" Hey dickhead, how about you be the first? Kevin S-Lol Overall, the station sounds horrible. Each show is the same everyday. Ever hear about letting a show breathe and having it's own life? Too many of the same voices, talking the same thing. I was right to tune out. I'm sorry I tuned back in. Now, forever deleted from my dial except for Bills play by play.

gomper replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I always thought the ending was brilliant. The show was too smart to provide a typical, cookie-cutter resolution. I think that's respect for your audience. -
It's in family DNA. It really sucks.
