Got married in the early 90’s. Bride’s parents had $ but refused to spring for an open bar. My mother said she wasn’t having her family travel and go to a reception that didn’t have an open bar so she sprang for it. The reception was at a place called the Old Port Harbor. My filthy animal friends littered the canal with drink glasses and beer bottles. The in-law’s were not amused. Oh well. Fun was had by all on my side. First sign that marriage was doomed.
