  1. Even more amusing that the "play action" that fools nobody, may be Josh Allen's hard count that also fools nobody. And, no, I'm not bashing Allen. I am happy he is our QB. I just find his hard counts funny.
  2. Good thing Rittenhouse had top-notch malpractice insurance, huh?
  3. Say you don't know anything about football without saying you don't know anything about football.
  4. You may be correct on these assumptions but I don't think McDermott's anger is politically charged.
  5. I don't disagree with the OP but there are only a handful of teams that rely on pounding the football at you. Do you draft to try to stop those few teams or do you draft to what the league has become for the most part....a soft, passing league? Three yards and a cloud of dust still does exist though. My opinion is that the team is fine when Star is in there. Even against the Titans I think we were adequate with the exception of the long TD given up. Depth behind Star is obviously an issue when they play a power team.
  6. Back then the Bills called it "Big Ben". Somehwhere in the shuffle it became "Hail Mary". Anyway...11/22/81. Ferguson connects with Roland Hooks to beat the Patriots with 6 seconds left. Jump ball in the endzone is tipped to Hooks by Patriot LBer, Mike Hawkins. The more impressive play was the completion to get the Bills down the field. Hooks laid out horizontally to grab a Fergy pass. My Dad decided to leave the game with about 2 minutes to go after a Fergy pick. We celebrated in the parking lot with about 75 percent of the people that left the stadium with us. That win was sorely needed by the Bills. Their season was circling the drain and it led to a winning streak that got them into the playoffs. Hope the memories brighten your day after yesterday's debacle. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/198111220buf.htm
  7. The earliest he would be on the hot seat is the end of next season.
  8. Yeah, to blame this one on the o-line is puzzling. I saw it the same way you did. Cody Ford needs to go but he wasn’t too bad today. Outside of his false start, followed up by Morse’s hold, I didn’t find myself bitching about their play.
  9. I'll say 4-3 for a 10-7 record, wild Card berth, win in WC weekend and a Divisional round exit.
  10. No, but I can point to a lot of play that shows they may have bought into their own hype. The Bills are much more talented than the Steelers, Jags and IMO the Colts. This team is not really any different than they were, personnel wise, from last year.
  11. Again…READ what you posted. Kelly threw for 3,000 yards plus MULTIPLE times in his career. And 3,000:plus was looked upon as the gold standard in those days.
  12. Nah. I believe it has more to do with the team actually bought into their hype more than anything. Their heads are up their ass.
  13. It actually does matter. A lot…….. and was a reason the Bills had the best turnover ratio coming into this game.
  14. Ummm…….yes, Kelly threw for over 3,000 yards MULTIPLE times. Cripes.
  15. Let’s put it in perspective….he had a 30 yard run when the team was down by 17. But, yeah, he should see the field more with his speed.
  16. Why don’t you PM a mod and ask them instead of making a thread about it? At BBMB, you would have given an infraction for starting a thread like this.
  17. Yeah, I can say it with a straight face. He’s worth what he’s getting.
  18. I’m not going to beat up on you but look at the whole puzzle. The Bills beat a struggling Chiefs team, Miami twice, Houston, Washington and the Jets. Please tell me a quality win they’ve had this season. The Chiefs? maybe, maybe not.
  19. You’ve made a lot of dumb comments in the past but that one takes the cake. Every single GM in the NFL would have extended Allen and, rightfully so. Allen is not the problem with the Buffalo Bills. He’s actually what is right.
  20. I said, in the pre-game thread, I felt the Bills had to come out of the Indy, Saints, Patriots, Bucs stretch at at least 3-1 to be considered a contender. I was roasted for saying that. Why? I don’t know. Obviously it now looks like 3-1 was wishful thinking. This team is not that good. It doesn’t make us any less fans, or make us wish any less that they will get it together. It is what it is. They feasted on some pathetic teams and when the going has been tough, they have folded like a cheap suit. They can stop with their cute, love each other, everyone has a hot sauce, Shnow-man, blah, blah, blah. They appear mentally weak and I, for the first time, wonder if McDermott is the answer. Seriously, a 50 yard FG in crap conditions on 4th and 5 when down 24-7? That is PATHETIC. This team will be lucky to make the playoffs. If they do they most likely will be one and out. There. I’m on the record.
  21. I don’t think the Bills go deep in the playoffs. I really don’t believe they will even make the playoffs. A win against a struggling at the time Chiefs team, the Fish twice, Jets, Texans and Washington. The Bills are a paper tiger that need a lot of work.
