  1. Shakir is our playmaker. He has the best hands on the team and the best YAC ability. By a mile. I agree with that. Make teams defend the entire field.
  2. I think he is. I mean Diggs is obviously elite but this kid has sure hands and tears it up when he gets the opportunity. Other teams will have to start paying attention to him. Between him and Kincaid, other teams might have to soften coverage on Diggs. I am not trying to say he is better than Diggs. I just don't really know how to express what I mean. This kid has amazing YAC ability and hands. Yes, we still need a #2 outside to upgrade Davis. As far as slot goes, Shakir is damn good.
  3. RIP Dylan. Such a tragedy. This crap happens too much in this world.
  4. This dude is our most explosive playmaker. Shakir currently ranks 4th in the league in yards after catch per reception with a whopping 7.6. Only Kittle, Rashee Rice, and Deebo are higher than that. His expected is 4.6 which means he gets 3 more yards than he is expected to get. The next best Bill on the list is Kincaid at 4.5 yac/r expected 4.3. Shakir also leads the league in catch% at 86.7%. We need to get Shakir the ball more. He is our best offensive weapon. What a value draft pick this was.
  5. Dude, he had over 400 yards of offense and 79% completion rating and was responsible for most of those yards. Dude made some key throws and kept our offense on the field all game long. He did this while being under pressure most of the game. Miami blitzed at like a 40% rate and got home quite a bit. Not just with one guy but multiple guys. This might have been the worst game this oline has played. Our running game wasn't doing ***** either if it wasn't Allen. The dude made some incredible throws in all that pressure.
  6. Did Lamar single handedly lose the Pittsburg game with 2 turnovers? How about the Browns game with 2 turnovers? How about the Colts game with no production and 2 fumbles? It may not be the full basis but its a huge part of it. The last 5 winners, 4 of them lead the league in TD passes and the one that didn't was Rodgers second year where he is was still top 5. You can go back further years and see winners that lead the league in overall TDs or were at least top 3. 15 of the last 26 winners have done so. The Ravens have 2 more wins while playing a second place schedule. Lamar wasn't really all that less volatile. He fumbles the ball a lot. What stellar stats? Have you even watched any Ravens games to be able to make that comment that he has less games where he hurt the team? Allen doesn't deserve it but neither does Lamar really, but I will answer why I think Allen deserves it over Lamar. If you put a backup QB on each team for a full season, then I believe the Ravens still win more games than the Bills.
  7. MVP is an award for most passing stats and either 1 or 2 seed. Show me all the winners where they weren't either the 1 or 2 seed and top few in most passing stats. Allen has 9 more turnovers than Lamar, not 15. Lamar has 13 turnovers. Josh has 22. About a half turnover over per game difference. Lets be real about this. Not all turnovers credited are the fault of the QB either. I can't speak for Lamar but Allen has ints that are just unlucky. A batted ball that gets picked is just unlucky. A ball that hits the receiver in the hands or is stripped away from the receiver is just unlucky or on the receiver. A prayer as the half expires is meaningless. Allen has a lot of ints but Lamar has a lot of fumbles. Lamar has a lot more that he was lucky to not lose too which is... just lucky. I am not trying to make a case for Allen to be MVP. He isn't going to get it. I'm just saying that the above is true. Lamar had an oooo ahhh game against Miami in a year that no QB is really deserving and became the media hype and thats why he is going to get it. Josh regularly has those games against Miami including one this year.
  8. Yeah but that happens for every team. Even Lamar and their offense has struggled and their D kept them in it. I'm not a PFF guy but I seen this so I will put it in here...
  9. Honestly surprised. Lots of all22 in here. Thought this thread would get more traction.
  10. By chemistry connection I mean they aren't on the same page.
  11. Davis was actually breaking outside when Allen threw it. Davis then spun and turned towards the inside while the ball was in the air. The ball was at the spot Davis broke to initially. Josh was out of time at that point. It wasn't a guess from Allen. Its where Davis was going when Allen released the ball. Davis didn't even look for the ball until after he turned, broke back inside, and it was already intercepted.
  12. It's possible Gabe misses some time so he likely will get more snaps. Also possible Isabella gets called up. I know he hasn't shown anything either but he does have 4.2 speed.
  13. I'm not going to put blame on either because I just don't know. What I will say is that it was a cover zero. Some people are saying Josh didn't even look before he threw but that isn't correct. It was fast but Josh threw the ball to the exact spot Gabe was at the time of release. Josh was also out of time when he threw it. Being cover zero, IMO Gabe should have been cutting his route and looking for the ball. Instead, when Josh threw the ball, Gabe wasn't even looking. He was finishing a route then turning to look for the ball. Had he just turned around on a cover zero like I think he should have, it would have been a TD. Just my opinion on it. I posted a thread with Cover 1's breakdown of the offensive plays. That play is in there. Either way, I have been saying for most of the season that Josh and Gabe are not on the same page. I don't care who is wrong, they just don't vibe with each other chemistry wise. This doesn't really happen with any other receiver on the team. Time to move on and get a better receiver on the outside. One that Josh can vibe with. One that has better skills.
  14. A lot of good stuff in here. Sherfield really was an unsung hero in this game.
  15. I like Gabe as the teammate Gabe, but not as a reliable receiver Gabe. Him and Allen don't seem to have that chemistry connection. They have been on different pages all season long. I'd rather the targets go to Shakir who is about the only guy on the team with good YAC potential. I mean Cook does but his hands suck.
  16. McD and Rivera have a good relationship. I could see Rivera being our DC next season if Frazier doesn't come back. I doubt Rivera gets another HC offer next season. Say that again with those chicken nuggies
  17. I was always a McDermott is a good coach guy. Was on the fence after 13 seconds. I faltered after the Denver game and wanted him gone. I dunno if he gets us over the hump but he has won me back over anyways. This dude is a good coach. He has this team ready and has them ballin. I have never seen this D be so physical as it has been over the last 6 weeks. He has this team ready, prepared, and even the bench warmers are prepared and ready to play. Sorry I faltered McD. You are a great coach. Get us over the hump!
  18. He actually almost did fumble that ball anyways. It was very lucky. I was scratching my head at that play. I don't recall seeing a RB just stop and stand still like that before. Dunno what he was thinking.
  19. Neither. I don't really care who wins.
  20. Just watch the play again. I posted a replay of it somewhere in the gameday thread. It was designed to go to Ty. You can see the clearout/pick to get him free.
