  1. Yes. Everyone always thinks about just the bye. The bye is nice but the real advantage is only have to win 2 games at home. One of those games is probably a middling team.
  2. Flowers is actually a better version of Shakir. Its close but he is better. Bateman over Cooper, I dunno but Bateman has played in that offense for 4 years now. Cooper got here not too long ago and has been injured. He doesnt even have any real chemistry with Josh yet. Skill wise I would likely take Cooper. Situation wise, Id rather have a guy thats been here a while. To date our #1 receiver is still Hollins who is nothing but a special teams cast off. The threat of having to defend Lamar rushing, Henry rushing play heavily into receivers getting wide open af and make Lamars job far easier than Josh. Nobody is sitting there throwing 8 man boxes all game against Cook. Cook is good but he isnt Henry. I'm not trying to discredit Lamar. He is having his best season, but its a simple fact the guy has had it easier. Just looking at the recent Houston game the guy had 66 air yards but still had 168 yards passing.
  3. I'm honestly scared of the Ravens game. Its just so much to cover and our defense has been crap. But, if you want to win the super bowl then you have to beat tough teams.
  4. Not sure how it is at the stadium but I live in Lancaster not too far from there. It just started downpouring rain a couple minutes ago here.
  5. I think the players themselves will be up for this game. The reward is that most of them would get to sit next week. If we lose, they probably aren't sitting. I'm sure getting a game check and being able to sit and rest through that before the playoffs is a pretty big reward to them.
  6. Im sure having a defense that allowed 16.2 ppg helps. He had the same Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, and Rashod Bateman that he has now.
  7. They talk about this stuff here... Its actually a good conversation. Of all the sports talk table media stuff this is probably one of my favorite shows.
  8. The problem is that Allen isnt likely to have a good statistical game in the weather on Sunday. He likely wont even be playing in the final week either.
  9. Did he stop wearing it in games? I didnt actually look this past game. I know I've seen photos of him in practice not wearing it for weeks now but I thought he was still wearing it in games.
  10. I had this pop up in my MSN feed today. Since it looks like we are about to have a pretty rainy game, I thought I would share it here. Nothing huge but still interesting... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bill-belichick-breaks-down-bill-parcells-s-strict-rules-for-playing-in-the-rain/ar-AA1wxbIz
  11. Sure I guess but they are doing what they are supposed to do... make an educated judgement because they have to put out the practice report.
  12. To get an early lead, the defense needs to do its part. They need to stop Henry. Then they need to stop the wide open passes. They arent going to be one dimensional in the first half of football. So then KC is going to 3 peat? Buffalo gonna get bounced in the divisional? Thats what typically happens based on past performance.
  13. Not with this defense playing that way. They at least need to get a couple turnovers a game if they are going to let teams march up and down the field. Its a tall ask to essentially ask Josh to win you 3 straight games like that. The receivers can't play like last week either.
  14. I wouldnt attribute it all to the line but no, the line is not the same as last year.
  15. Must be your internet. I didnt cut out or buffer once through two games. The coaches get a report from the trainers/med staff and they list the players accordingly. If it says Douglas would have practiced in full, that means he was given a good bill of health.
  16. If Lamar wins the division, which they probably will, he will probably get it yet again. Josh will get the snub for a guy that throws 10 completions to guys wider open than college receivers. 66 air yards and gets 168 yards out of it. You get high ratings when you only complete 10 passes in games while only throwing 15 passes total and those go to WR so far open the defenders might as well not be on the field because they get another 20+ yac.
  17. Just because he has in the past, doesnt mean that he always will. That team is playing great defense lately, they have one of best if not the best RB in the league, hard to stop their run game, hard to keep their receivers from finding gaping holes, hard to get to and bring Lamar down, hard to stop him when he is in full flight. The team is scary regardless of their past. It don't matter much how Lamar plays because his skill positions are doing most of the work. Take today for example... Typical MVP Lamar game. Henry can't be stopped. Lamar cant be stopped. Receivers finding gaping holes and getting a ton of YAC... even from behind the LoS. Score 30+ points on only 10 completions that only have about 66 air yards total yet get 168 yards. While the ground game gets another 250+. No QB throws to more wide open receivers than Lamar. I dont think any QB even gets the YAC as Lamar does. Sure, he could run into a defense that stops all that and makes him play from the pocket and throw tight windows all game. If that happens, Lamar will look like typical playoff Lamar. If it don't then better hope the offense puts up points and doesnt turn the ball over.
  18. Yeah this game is over. Stroud cant do crap.
  19. Almost 35 yards on a pass behind the LoS. He has it so easy.
  20. 8 seconds to throw that pass.
  21. They should have taken the points there. The game isnt out of reach that bad but doing stuff like that will make it out of reach.
  22. If they can keep stopping Henry like this, Lamar will struggle. They need to start scoring points on offense though.
