  1. I keep being told that Lamar has evolved as a passer and is much better. Lamar is the same player he has been. More teams have just done a better job with containing Lamar and covering Andrews which has been and always will be the key to beating the Ravens.
  2. Kraft must have paid his weekly ref dues this week. How TF did they miss that facemask but call a hold against the same guy?
  3. He aint bad but I see just another journeyman in him to keep the Pats mediocre enough from getting a real QB and not good enough to win anything meaningful.
  4. About time the Bills realize that Moss does nothing but hold this offense back. Ive been saying it for 2 years now.
  5. No Im not saying that at all. What you neglect is how important the oline is to ANYONES running game. Our oline is the worst run blocking oline in the league and Singletary has better YPA than McCaffrey does. Trade of this would have to be a huge difference. Im saying a huge difference isnt going to happen. You think by trading for him he is going to get like 10+ yard runs everytime he touches the ball or something? Its not going to happen. This is going to be a 100 page thread for a trade thats not likely to happen.
  6. We have the worst run blocking o line in the league. He isnt going to get any more rushing than Singletary is already getting. As far as passing, he would still be used as the outlet dump down receiver. For anything else, we already have good receivers that would do better. You think he is going to do much better than Singletary already is? With what evidence? Thats what happens with dump off recievers... they are ignored and then the defense swarms to the ball once caught. As for things like screens, that is much more reliant on the oline than it is the rb. Our oline is bad at that too. You think McCaffery is just going to break all kinds of tackles that our RB isnt? He wont. Im not saying McCaffrey isnt a better back than Singletary because obviously he is. Im saying he isnt soooo much better that he would make a huge difference. You want a huge difference? Get a couple guards that can run block. Get some guys that can get a push on 3rd and 1. This is where the problem lies. Even Moss gets yards when there is a hole. High dollar backs are a waste of money when you have an Elite QB.
  7. Did you know Singletary is close to that in 2 out of 5 games despite being not utilized as a premeir back and having weapons all over the field that Josh can hit? McCaffrey is averaging 4.5 per run and 7.2 per catch. Singletary is averaging 4.3 per run and 8.1 per catch. Give it up. Panthers want multiple firsts for an expensive oft injured RB. Its not going to happen nor should it. A RB is not what gets this team over the top.
  8. So you found out where your wallet went huh? So like most of Schopps show? Stupid family story, 5 minutes Bills talk, rest fantasy football and sports betting.
  9. Nobody is trading multiple firsts for an oft injured running back. Id want my GM fired if he did so. Sounds about right
  10. Ok so there was one QB taken after him big deal. Ok so the reason they think Belichick is genius is because he has drafted a lot of journeymen QBs. Its not really remarkable at all. The reason he kept taking QBs like that was so he would have a cheap backup. None of those QBs are franchise guys much less even close to Tom Brady. Not even Garappolo who made it to a super bowl who his current team tried to replace for good reason. You say it wasnt just McDaniels system but point out that Matt Cassel did well pretty much only for the Pats. Its not JUST McDaniels system. Its Belichicks system of great defense followed by good running game and a QB that doesnt make many mistakes. Same reason McD got Tyrod Taylor to the playoffs.
  11. Ok I dont disagree with this really. I just dont look at it as some great achievement for a QB 5 years later to be able to throw a 5-10 yard pass to the sidelines. Statistically the guy hasnt changed. As much as he might improved in that area he has seriously declined in others. His deepball has fallen off a cliff to below average and one of the worst in the league. The seam pass that made defenses pay isnt there this year. The numbers in case you disagree with that Left 1/3 field 21.5 rating. League avg 78.4 Middle 1/3 field 89.9 rating. League avg 86.2 Right 1/3 field 33.3 rating. League avg 78.0
  12. I can see him inquiring on it and then saying no thanks when he hears what the Panthers would want for him.
  13. Beane is a good GM. Good GMs dont over pay for an oft injured RB with huge contracts to run a football behind an oline that cant block.
  14. I mean you can act like they are locks for a Super Bowl. I wont think that. I'll be happy as hell and think my team is the best in the league but it takes more than that to get there.
  15. The problem is you guys keep thinking you have caught lightning in the bottle a second time. You are likely never to see another instance of Tom Brady again. If it does happen its even less likely to happen to the same team. People act like it was genious of BB to take Mac when in actuality it was just the only QB left. Same thing with Brady really. It wasnt genius. It was just the luckiest flyer in NFL history. Mac isnt even that good. He was just good enough to run a stellar system that for a short time took the league by surprise as well as run into some very lucky streaks of games between bad teams and good teams missing their best players. Tom Brady's dont grow on trees. Even most first round draft picks hardly make it in the NFL. You guys think you got a Tom Brady like every new QB you get. I get it though. I lived that here for a long time. Thinking and praying the next mediocre QB was the one. I honestly dont think your team will ever get that until after BB retires. He is too good a coach to lose enough games to draft high enough. No coach is good enough to win SB's in todays NFL without a great QB. The stone age Belichick system is only good enough to maybe get a WC here and there in todays NFL. Teams like the Bills and the Chiefs are just too good. You need a QB that can keep up. Even on a bad day against the best defenses these teams are scoring in the 20's. The only thing that stops that is injuries and the stars align in the weather to even things out. I honestly think your teams best bet is to just move on from BB and take the lumps of a season or two of absolute crap. Then pray you draft the right guy. Until then I think all thats going to happen is the same mediocrity the Bills had for forever.
  16. Can we do that without acting like the season is over because of this one game?
  17. His passing has stayed the same or declined every season. He hasnt evolved at all. Its just a fairy tale for people who want to believe.
  18. He isnt. There isnt another coordinator that could get the most out of Lamar like they have. Lamar isnt a pocket passer. Its time to stop trying to blame that on Roman.
  19. Just join the game day thread. You'll read them in the first quarter.
  20. Nexstar wanted a 64% increase from Verizon on the new contract. Verizon didnt want to pay. CBS is part of the Nexstars channel group so Fios no longer has CBS. https://thedesk.net/2022/10/verizon-fios-nexstar-channels-removed-carriage-dispute/ Its only certain areas so you might be outside the area. Verizon primarily offers its Fios TV and Internet service in the northeastern part of the country. The dispute involves the national cable news channel NewsNation as well as Nexstar-owned local stations in the following areas: WPIX (Channel 11, CW) in New York metro area WSYR (Channel 9, ABC) in Syracuse WTEN (Channel 10, ABC) in Albany WPRI (Channel 12, CBS) in Providence, RI WIVB Channel 4, CBS) in Buffalo WPHL (Channel 17) in Philadelphia WDCW (Channel 50, CW) in Washington, D.C. WHTM (Channel 10, ABC) in Harrisburg WRIC (Channel 8, ABC) in Richmond, VA WAVY (Channel 10, NBC) in Norfolk WVBT (Channel 5, Fox) in Norfolk In areas where Verizon Fios carries digital sub-channels of the above local stations, those digital channels are also unavailable, the company affirmed. The move will mean customers in some markets will lose access to Antenna TV, Comet, Court TV, Grit, Bounce TV and Cozi TV, though only if the networks are carried by a Nexstar-owned station. The dispute will mean some Verizon Fios customers will lose access to National Football League telecasts on local CBS and Fox stations, as well as other sports carried on ABC and NBC in parts of upstate New York and Virginia.
