8 of their 22 starters today are rookies. We would have those guys scratched or sitting on the bench in favor of a vet role player. Unless forced to by injury of course and because they got no experience all season they wouldnt be ready for a game of this magnitude.

They pretty much play the same defense against everybody they play. They might change it up for say a team like the Ravens but thats about it. Its the same D every week. Thats why it was so easy for the Bengals to plan to beat it.

To me this is what our defense is... Play soft with everything in front of you. Get to the ball quick and make the tackle. Dont get beat deep. Make the team drive the entire field in short bits without the big chunks. Hope the team makes a mistake. Odds say they will over that extended amount of time. The gist of it anyways. That works against teams in the regular season for the most part. It doesnt work in the playoffs because you are now facing elite QBs. Those QBs, like Mahomes and Burrow, dont make enough mistakes for that defense to work. Which is why our D gives up a lot of points in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

I agree, its more than just what I wrote but I am trying to watch the game at the same time. Its just the stuff is pissing me off about our own team so I had to vent.

Well he aint going to do it when they send 4 deep and only leave the dump off back, I know that. They can easily scheme short passes. He took them in the first couple games. He worked and did all intermediate stuff the year before last. Dude can and will if he is coached and schemed to IMO.

These are the two best teams in the AFC. Its not like one is playing the other that doesnt belong. FGs are going to happen.

Their players arent better than ours. Jones is a beast but really nobodies outside of that. The difference is how they actually play the receivers tight and not 10 yards off and back up at the snap. Burrow cant throw quick because it aint there for free. Same story on offense. Allen may not be Mahomes but he is elite. Their offensive design and coaching is second to none. I feel like Dorsey is just backyard football. A lot of people say "Josh wont take the underneath stuff." I believe he would if he was coached to and the plays were designed to.

Kinda easy to "grind through a game" when the officials give you first downs either by penalty or incomplete passes and the other team cant even pass the ball and turn it over.

I think Purdy is average but they had a chance with him. Without him, this game is probably over.

Give the refs both of Philly TDs. First one on a non catch. Second one on a free first down every time the Eagles stalled.
