If I were to think about where Allen needs to improve it would be: staying calm. You can literally see when he gets flustered and starts making too many mental mistakes. He needs to find his zen. I also think he needs to go back to knowing its ok to take off with the football and run the damn thing. Just get down or out of bounds instead of fighting for 1 or 2 extra yards AFTER he already got the first down. Obviously he needs to sometimes take what's given. I think people sometimes over exaggerate that, but it's true none the less. Sometimes ya just gotta take it. He really doesn't have that many games like the Jets game. That D is fast, disciplined, and vicious. They seem to know how to push his buttons. He needs to figure that out. Once he does though....

Ummm what?

One game isn't going to change my view. SB was always a who knows, it takes some luck thing for me. Having a winning season, winning the division, hitting the playoffs... I still feel we can and will do those things. I am bummed about the game but I'm not going to jump off a cliff over it. It's just one game. If that goes into a bunch of games I will re-evaluate. I will still think Josh is our Elite Franchise QB though.

JA’s big time throw % vs turnover worthy play % since 2020

Josh had 2 more Ints last season than Burrow and Mahomes. Nobody say crap about those two though. Year before tied with Herbert, one more than Burrow, two more than Mahomes and Jackson, and 3 more than Tom Brady. It's not that big of a deal. Most of the bulk of Allens ints are in one or two games. The rest of the season he is pretty much fine. -
Thats the read... Diggs motion tells Josh zone defense. Sauce is bringing his coverage to Kincaid. Thats what Josh looks at... where Sauce goes. Davis is the read. I don't know how many times that needs to be said. People here all complain about timing and holding the ball too long and yadda yadda and then complain when Josh actually reads fast and makes the play. Unfortunately the result of the play sucked but the read was correct. Just poor execution by both him and Davis.

I'm concerned about his turnovers in a game like the Jets. Those games are few and far between and a lot of QBs have multiple turnover games. I'm not concerned when he throws a couple when we are blowing out the other team. The Bills are 47-18 with Josh as a starter. 52-25 if you include his rookie season. Mostly carried the team to those wins. I'm not worried about his OT record. Some of those were out of his control. It was like people being worried about point differential that one season and it turned out to be a nothing burger to worry about, or Josh never getting a 300 yard passing game, or McDermott's record in one score games. All turned out to be nothing burgers. Seems to me you are already becoming and oh woe is me our QB sucks guy again. He doesn't suck. He is elite. He just had a bad game.

I know its not the Bills but I found this video popped up on my YouTube feed. I was curious and watched it. It's a good breakdown. Bonus of copycat league. Super Bonus T.Edmunds. I though other people might be interested in watching it too.

In general terms, Allen cost us this game. He has cost us a few but not often. I won't be worried unless this becomes a season long trend.

Can we talk about Gabe Davis's performance?
Scott7975 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
This happened a lot last year as well. Multiple receivers all in practically the same spot. -
1. I agree with. He doesn't trust his oline completely 2. I don't agree with. The play in question... Diggs motioned. Josh identified presnap correctly zone coverage. The read is Sauce. Sauce was committing to Kincaid. The throw is to Davis. That was also quickly identified, read correctly. The outcome sucked but that was the correct read.

and Andy Reid, Juju, Pachecho. He didn't have all world talent like when he had Kelce AND Hill, but not all his guys were scrubs either. Those guys are all running an Andy Reid offense and they at least know how to run a route. They have a running game when they have to and speed to get YAC. Or what if Josh did what the play dictated he do based on defense. Oh wait, he did. Just that the receiver ran a crap route and Josh rushed the throw.

Kelce's first real game he had 3 catches for 49 yards in a 26-10 loss to the Titans. Nobody is saying Kincaid is Kelce, but I think the kid is going to be a really good TE.

Who is salivating or doing backflips? It's the kids first game. He caught the passes thrown to him and his catches kept us in good shape on 3rd downs. He got 8 yards on a 2nd and 10. 6 yards on 1st and 10. 3 yards on 2nd and 4. All three of those were scoring drives. 9 yards on 1st and 10. Did he do anything amazing? No, not really but he is a rookie TE. Were you expecting to see prime Kelce out there? -
I dunno. I haven't watched any film or anything but they were playing zone mostly I think, so it's whoever was in his zone. I seen this though... It's not the concepts themselves. Those are routes to beat zone coverage. It's the execution of those routes that is bad.

Gee basically same thing I said about the Davis play and most disagreed with. Guess the board knows better than Kurt Warner and Troy Aikman. Sauce was covering Kincaid. Josh made the right read to Davis. Davis route messed that play up.

The process needs to get over the hump. I started to doubt it after 13 seconds. Then last year with the mental exhaustion excuses. Let’s see what happens this year.

imagine reading it for free like I did.

This dude really likes licking his fingers

Yeah I mean they only up one score after getting 4 turnovers.
