Our next opponent….The NY Football Giants
Scott7975 replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah a whole 50 mins old when I posted it. Didn't see a thread about it as I was reading this thread about this game. Big deal. That happens all the time. -
I think people underestimate how hard it is to throw a pass that deep. Let that sink in... since 2018 Allen has a league-high five.... five completions of 60+ air yards since 2018. These passes just don't happen. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/analysis-josh-allen-led-nfl-in-deep-passing-in-2022/article_7b4afef2-9050-11ed-922c-c3e8a2f6dfc0.html Want to criticize it fine but he gave his receiver a chance at a 50/50 ball and Diggs didn't come down with it. Personally, I think Diggs should have been credited the ball from a nfl rules standpoint but I can't find an angle of it showing clearly how both him and the DB came down with the ball. A 50/50 ball goes to the offense. IMO they both had hands on the ball when they hit the ground. As soon as they hit the ground it should have been ruled down by contact. It wasn't until after they landed that the ball got ripped away but whatever.

Id like to see you pull up a play where the Chiefs had 4 receivers running on top of each other like this. I also wonder when I keep hearing... "that guys open and Josh didn't throw it yadda yadda" stuff, if the receiver is even in the right spot. I'm beginning to believe they aren't. How do you trust anything with this offense?
-
This is what I am getting at. There is just something wrong with this offense. I don't every remember seeing something like this and it has been happening since Dorsey took over.
-
You can see this type of stuff almost every game. If it's execution then why are these guys so bad?
-
Whose to blame for this garbage? This spacing happens every game in multiple areas of the field going back to last year. I been making comments on it all season but no one seems to care lol.
-
I think the difference is KC defense got off the field on 3rd down. As good as our defense was at not letting them score, they still let them drive the field or at least flip the field. By the time our O finally started scoring, our D was gassed and depleted.
-
Yes, Josh is at fault sometimes, receiver is at fault sometimes, the route design is also at fault sometimes. There is no singular blame.
-
That may be sometimes true, it certainly isn't always true. People like to parrot stuff until it becomes fact. These receivers have a hard time creating separation. Especially in the shorter/quick range. They aren't going to get many YAC balls when that is the case.

The best way would be to host the photos somewhere else. Even a twitter post and then just copy the image link and paste it here. Unfortunately the file size for even one photo here is ridiculously small.
-
That was an awful long writeup about a bunch of stuff that have nothing to do with how Josh looked on that 10 sec TV clip on the sideline bench.

Chiefs first half punt punt fumble interception touchdown Chill

you complained about Josh week 1, no? players are getting treatments Monday. Nobody is flying on Monday. tell me what day the Jags flew out last week.
-
maybe because it’s a ridiculous comment. You see a 5 second shot of a guy on tv out of 3 hours on the sideline and act like that’s how he is all game. if he did anything else we would have the entire media world talking about how he wants to be traded out of Buffalo.
-
Of course man. Banter is always fun as long as its respectful, which I always try to be. Yes, it has been terrible. Josh is always behind the sticks.
-
I dunno about the first picture with the int but the second picture one traveled over 55 yards in the air. Allen would of had to throw that over 70 yards to hit Diggs in stride.

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?

I ate breakfast. Breakfast! I never eat breakfast. It has to be it. I had serious no sleep lag. -
Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously

There has to be someone on a PS or a team willing to trade a guy that's better than a 35 year old guy that's been on the couch eating Doritos. Right? Right? -
Kincaid in concussion protocol, Knox has a wrist injury
Scott7975 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Knox has something new every week. Who is going to help Brown this week? -
1. Yeah, the defense was missing tackles left and right. Especially as attrition set in. Its hard to blame the defense because they held for the most part. Some of that was because they got a turn over. Part of their attrition was not getting off the field on 3rd downs even if the Jags didn't score. 2. Josh had a good game. People blaming Josh this week are out of their minds 3. I been saying all year that Brown is a problem and get told I am wrong 4. Everyone but Dorsey sees that Josh under center and playaction is the way to go. I'm getting tired of seeing shotgun handoff and shotgun spread. 6. Cook was terrible this week 7. We were definitely short handed. It is a concern going forward. The injuries are much more a problem than the loss is. 8. I didn't pay attention to individual struggles but the line definitely struggled this week as a whole. It was part of the offensive problem this week. 9. Yup, our run game sucked 10. Elam was terrible. I don't get it. He was slow to react to route changes, was shaken out of his shoes, was 5 yards off the receptions. Last year he stuck to people like glue, so I don't understand why he is struggling this year. 11. As he should be 12. I been banging the table about spacing all year and this spans back to last season. Every game we see receivers all bunched in the same area. No one else seemed concerned about that. 13. Dorsey seems to have trouble working anyone into this offense. He couldn't work Hines in who is a good pass catching back, he isn't using Cook properly, he has no plan for any of the receivers. I just don't think he is a very good or creative OC. Sure, he has good games like Miami, but I think his good games are more from a result of having Josh Allen than it is him being a good OC 14. As I said above, Allen had a good game and anyone blaming him is out of their minds. This was not the Jets game.
-
I agree with the first part. Allen and Diggs are our offense with an occasional but inconsistent Davis. However I think Dorsey has a pretty crap offense. It doesn't help. The difference between last week and this week is that our running game worked last week. We stayed ahead of the sticks. This week our running game was terrible, we were always behind the sticks, guys on 3rd down either dropped the pass or didn't get to the first down marker. Our oline was not that great either this week. Sidenote: I would love a replay of the Kincaid 3rd down. To me it looked like he got there but they never showed the replay. Your expectations are too high IMO. Yes, some of Josh pass could be better but no QB throws perfect passes on every pass. Especially bombs. Josh had a good game. It wasn't a superman game but it was a good game. It was not the Jets like game.

Go watch the highlight. Josh chucked it to a spot in the zone. It was a big clean area but again Diggs was in the middle of basically a triangle of defenders. He wasn't running 50 more yards for a TD. I don't care where Josh put that ball. Yeah ya are. All you keep talking about is two passes that should of supposedly been TDs.
-
The coaches have only been banging it into his head for 3-4 years now.
-
Diggs was wide open on that first one because he settled into a spot in the zone. It was a 50 yard pass. Ball has travel time. He had two defenders in front of him and two defenders behind him. When is the last time you seen Diggs run 50 yards after a catch with 4 defenders closing on him while the ball is in the air? That may have looked like a missed TD pass on TV in the moment. Go to NFL.com and watch the highlight. I assure you it wasn't. The second one Diggs lost the ball. Thats on him.
