My guess is either a contract gets done or if it doesn't he is back in week 1. I don't think he will miss any games. He needs to come to terms that he is not the best running back in the league. He is not even the second best running back in the league. Probably not even the third. He isn't worth 15mil.

What do you mean "make room for?" Cook is under contract and on the active roster. Don't need to make room for him.

They ask like 10 different ways "how does Cook being out change how you prepare?" On a side note, can someone explain to me what a "hold in" is? I've only ever heard it be called a hold out.

Agree with both of this. We don't really have that special elite talent on offense. Cook may be but I want to see a second season of it. Shakir may not quite be elite but he is a stud. Allen is that good. BUT we do have a bunch of really good players. Also we seemed to quietly build that Oline into one of the best in the NFL.

These charts really dont mean a lot but I am surprised that White is still behind Trubisky. Everything I have heard is White is outplaying him. Not that it really matters. We get down to either one of those QBs, we are in trouble.

Man I think sometimes we take for granted how good this team is. So many good plays. Allen is the best QB in the league to me. Coleman has a lot of flashes and I think we forget what he can do. Shakir is a stud. Our TEs can be very good. Etc.

I would think that should help us get a deal with Cook. They are about the same level of RB. Maybe Cook get a little more but not $15m. Cook is not a 3 down back though.

Yeah, I guess I agree with that. I don't think we are going to have to worry about him sitting out anyways. Although I will say that I think Shakir is pretty explosive. As is Ty Johnson for that matter. We dont have that downfield burner though still.

I dont think the drop off is thaaaat huge, but lets say it is... Cook isn't going to sit out the season because not only would he not get paid but he wouldn't accrue a season against his contract. That means next year he would still be on the same contract.

I have no problem with Cook trying to get his best deal. I also don't think he is worth paying $15m. No idea what Beane is offering him either, but I did see in some thread they were apparently close. If they are just bickering over like 1 or 2 million then I think Cook should be willing to sign that. $15m is too much for a RB not named Barkley or Henry IMO. Cook played great last season but thats just one season.

Caught these two videos about hard knocks on my YouTube feed. Sharing for those interested. Nothing earth shattering. Just some interviews with the director of this years Hard Knocks. I think he said he is from Rochester. Bet thats cool for him.

Cam Lewis is a guy that is not a star but he plays multiple positions at an average level. Coaches love players that can play multiple positions. He isn't going anywhere. As a back up he is very good. I agree and thought this the whole time too. Yes, he has some turnovers. Its those same turnovers that are also the superstar plays that people cheer for. Not all the picks are his fault either. The only ones that bother me are the routine plays that he should have seen coming. Of course everyone would like to see turnovers toned down. I still want him making those superstar, only QB that can do it, type of plays and if it costs a turnover once in a while so be it.

If they aren't that far apart then just get a deal done.

I feel for you. I had a DRs appointment over there past the stadium. It was at 1:00. I was grateful. Traffic was kinda bad even then and it wasn't even stadium traffic. I wonder what Josh will wear today. Usually its an off color helmet.
