Dane might be more of a wanting a vet on the active roster type thing, but it's not like Dane is a slouch either. The situation sucks but it is what it is. They drafted a man corner for a zone defense and he didn't learn enough.

I thought they would on occasion use Elam's skills as a man corner. Like even last year I thought they would use him to press the receivers at the line. WRs like Hill or something. I didn't think he looked all that bad out there last year. Looks like its zone or bust for this team. Maybe Benford has just been that good for them. Sometimes you get lucky late. Sometimes first round picks bust. That is true for all teams. I don't think this kid is a bust though. I think maybe he just doesn't fit our defense and they were hoping to make a square peg fit a round hole type of thing.

I feel the same way. I even posted it in Shaw's thread the other day. I am just not doing the things I normally do. I am happy to see them play today but nowhere near the energy level of years past. I haven't really watched any hype videos, spent all that much time here, listened to wgr, read any articles. I still love the Bills but something is definitely different this year. Maybe I am just older. Maybe I am at the point that I need to see the team get over the hump. Not sure really. All I know is that usually I am pumped by now and I am not. I don't even know what to expect of the team.

I couldn't watch the game. I can't dog Tua. He is playing well. You can say it's the system and or the WR's and that's true, but he is still executing it. I don't think Tua is elite like Allen, Mahomes, etc but he is still playing well with the team he has and is executing his offense. In any case I look forward to our matchups. I feel like back in the Kelly/Marino years where we all hated the damn Dolphins. It was a great time. Haven't felt like that in a long time. I think it's good to have competition. When you beat that competition it's just that much sweeter.

To me it looks like he just doesn't care. Doesn't seem to have any heart or drive to win. Last season I seen him slide short of a first down on a must have first down.

Is anyone else surprised that Daboll doesn't call the plays? He seemed like the type of coach to me that would.

I don't think Dilfer was better. I haven't watched a ton of Purdy though.

Yeah that team is crazy good. I don't think Purdy is elite but I think he is good enough that team can do damage.

I see this then I think about looking at Gabes chart last season. (Yes I know Gabe is our #2 but still) I hope Dorsey has some better stuff this year.
