  1. I agree that they are not legit superbowl contenders the way they are playing currently. Things can change. Gotta be in it to win it.
  2. Kelce has been Mahomes go to. We've had this "everybody eats" philosophy. Completely different offenses. I am also not trying to say Kincaid is as good as Kelce. In fact, I specifically said he wasn't. You don't need to be as good as Kelce to be considered "not sucking." Its like saying Goff sucks because he isn't as good as Mahomes.
  3. I backed you up with Grok. People just don't like the truth I guess.
  4. I think he is above average/very good. He isn't Kelce but who is?
  5. Do you think we win that Ravens game last year if it were in Baltimore? I don't.
  6. Sorry I disagree. That AFCE title is very meaningful. I want to grow my collection of hats. Plus its at least 1 guaranteed home game.
  7. why are you neglecting the Pats and Atlanta game where they were behind all game and only scored 20 and 14 points? That is not elite offense.
  8. This is skewed by the Ravens game where they had to turn it on and Ravens defense is garbage. Pats 20 points ATL 14 points In no world is that elite. I will revisit this thread when Cook starts getting stuffed and we go down two scores against a competent defense.
  9. Because no offense is going anywhere being 1 dimensional all the time. Eventually you are going to run into games that Cook is not getting 5 yards per carry. There is absolutely a reason to throw 15-20 yards down the field. Because it makes a defense defend the whole field and opens up the shorter stuff. It's very difficult to dink and dunk all game long and sustaining long ass drives. Also, Josh is not the precision passer that Brady was. It's not what makes him special. Tom Brady threw the ball all over the field.
  10. I think you just missed my edit. I don't care about hitting 40-50 yard passes all game. If they hit even 1 or 2 per game that would be fine. Primarily though, the problem is in the intermediate area. 15-20 yards. They need to do way better in that area of the field. Throwing to Shakir behind the los 5 times a game isn't going to cut it. Josh is currently 20th in intended air yards.
  11. Yeah, I hear this a lot but Josh has hit a lot of deep balls. I think he was better when he rifled them than when he tried to start putting arc and touch on them. From 2022-2024 PFF had Josh 4th best in the league. Personally I dont pay any mind to PFF ratings but it's there. The one year I looked, Josh was at like 44% accuracy on 20+. That may not sound great but hitting 50% is elite. Have of those attempts were probably on the run too which makes them more difficult. So maybe Josh wasn't the best in the world at it, but he wasn't terrible either. Most games you only need to hit 2-3 chunk plays like that. Josh was pretty elite on 3rd and forevers too. I remember when Daboll was the OC, there was never a 3rd and long that I didn't think Josh wouldn't convert. By 3rd and long I'm talking like 3rd and 15 or 20+. Josh has bailed us out of so many of those. Besides that, its not so much about deep balls that are 40 yards down the field. The problem is the team is struggling to even hit intermediate passes. 15-20 yards. They need to do way better in that department.
  12. Ugh damn. My old crippled ass could probably pull off that footwork.
  13. As I have said in numerous threads since the off season, I'm not a Gabe fan and didn't want him back on the team. He has poor hands and whoevers fault it is, him and Josh just weren't on the same page too many times. That said he needs to get on the roster and in games because our receiver room is so poor that he is probably our second best receiver (Shakir being best.) We need someone that can stretch the field and be a threat. He has proven he can do that. He has also shown he can get both feet in bounds on sideline catches. Something our other receivers seem incapable of doing.
  14. Ok thats fair. I honestly wasnt thinking about bye weeks because its so soon in the season. There are a lot of factors though that I just dont have the ambition to look into. For instance how many solid rushing teams have they faced? Don't answer, I honestly don't really care much. On to the Chiefs!
  15. By yards? I doubt it. I mean I’m not 100% but even removing 200 yards they wouldn’t even currently be average.
  16. Beane didn't give him anything to work with and McD broke the dog in him. Other than Shakir, this team is full of #4s. You can see the dog broken by how hesitant he is to run with the football. I started seeing and commenting on this last year. You can also hear it when he has said 3 times now that its no longer superbowl or bust and that they have no expectations this season other than just play football.
  17. The Panthers are a mediocre team with a bottom barrel rush defense. I am talking about good teams.
  18. Thats what people don't understand. The small ball offense may use clock, but when the other team scores consistently it doesn't matter how much clock we use. Small ball offense will get stopped with 1 mistake. We can't keep relying on running and 2 yard passes all game every game. I don't care how good Cook is. If they want to stop them then he is going to get stopped.
  19. I'm really not a Gabe fan. I think he has bad hands and his route tree is limited. I also think him and Josh are often not on the same page. Don't care who's fault that is, they didn't fix it while he was here. I didn't even want him back even on the practice squad. That said, he is the only guy on our team with proven ability to stretch the field. How does a meniscus tear take so long to heal? I've seen guys come back from that in a few weeks. If Beane can't find a receiver to trade for that can stretch the field then Gabe is our best option and they need to get him in there.
  20. Thats too late by then IMO. This is a game the Bills need to win. Lets say they don't do anything and we lose badly. That gives Beane less than 2 days to make a trade. Unless he is already working on something, it's not likely.
  21. Can I bump my thread about how we need a downfield passing game, or does everyone still think these 2-3 yard passes are fine?
  22. Hairston played 27 snaps according to PFF. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-8-recap-buffalo-bills-40-carolina-panthers-9
