  1. Ertz had 330 yards on 70+ targets. Knox had 288 on 40+ targets. Is Ertz really better than Knox at this stage of their careers? Even at his best Ertz was seeing a crazy amount of targets his way and was featured non stop in that offense. We don’t feature the tight end that much and probably never will unless Knox or some no name blows up or we acquire a legit elite tight end. Knox will 100% face some competition for his job this upcoming season though and that’s deserved.
  2. If he starts running now he will be open for a 15 yard catch come September. Seriously the guy has no wheels left. If he becomes a free agent maybe toss a couple bucks at him. But no way would I want to send even a 5th rounder for his 8 million dollar salary
  3. Are you new here? We are of course signing him and converting him to tight end to play alongside Duke williams. Then moving Dawkins to RT, trading for brown in Baltimore for a 2 and 4 and then extending him a top 5 LT contract. Oh and Milano is getting franchise tagged then traded for a 3 and a 5 I guess too
  4. So you’re saying with 100+ targets Knox couldn’t put up similar numbers? 100 targets is a crazy amount of passes to a tight end
  5. Soooooo... Is it safe to say next season the fan base and media completely turns on Mahomes because of his mom and his girl? Due to this increase in scrutiny he proceeds to Winston it with a 30-30 season? Tyreek Hill and Hardman slow down on routes all season because of Mahomes inaccuracies and almost getting them decapitated. The great Kelce in an effort to cement his status as best tight end in history decides its time to show he’s the best blocker ever and refuses to run any routes.. Andy Reid retires due to his family issues that have plagued him for years. Bienemy refuses to step up to coach hoping next offseason Houston will interview him finally. meanwhile Beane is just sitting in a press box somewhere with his shades on and a grin.
  6. Not recently that I’m aware of. Years ago when they had clowney, watt and Mercilus playing well they moved them around some. I think watt has mostly stayed at left end
  7. I think Watt would be what they wanted Quentin Jefferson to be. Versatile enough to swap between end and DT depending on down and package
  8. It’s funny seeing people using Logan Thomas as a niche to dig at management, yet hating on Knox for not playing fantastic after two seasons. How long has Thomas been around now? Pretty sure he seen more targets this season alone than him or Knox have seen in their careers almost
  9. I have no words. Nobody is dumb enough to trade a 3 and 5 for milano and THEN pay him an extension. Or rent him for one year at 15 million 😂😂 I won’t even get into the low ball salaries you’re offering
  10. We have two pretty young guys with Johnson and Epenesa. Johnson of course is versatile playing special teams. Watt, Hughes and the two young guys would be your active 4 on game days.
  11. Kawann short has played like 3 games in 2 years or something. And if I recall is 10+ million in dead cap for Carolina to cut. I think corner is ok if wallace is here plus Dane Siran and taron. I think safety is ok, we have Jaquan still and I think Siran Neal was a safety in college and was converted here. I’m sure we’ll add one or bring Marlowe back. Pass rush is 100% priority #1 whoever that may be. I think milanos spot will get filled in the draft paired with Klein and maybe a really low tier free agent. Tight end we have to sign probably at least one. I like Everett from LA. I’d even toss a couple bucks at Jordan reed even with the health concerns. I want Kalif Raymond from Tennessee. Kid killed us in our game against them and I think his speed would be huge here in mckenzies role. Im not as concerned for running backs, I’d like a speedy guy who can return as well if needed. A young Taiwan Jones would be ideal in lower draft rounds.
  12. Good riddance. They were both good players but came off as scumbags at times
  13. Now that’s what I like to see right there.
  14. If buffalo signed him Chris collinsworth would probably retire. One of his worst nightmares if he had to talk watt 5000 times a game and how great hes made buffalo.
  15. How much is Harrison Phillips going to charge for #99???
  16. I’m sure Beane will check in on his interest and price. It makes sense to add him for any of the contending teams. He has to want to come here though and he has to accept a mid level short contract. Our gm’s on here seem to think you make all these cuts and just sign whoever you want. Houston released him because I’m sure he knows the top 3 where he wants to go and odds are high those top 3 would all offer contracts.
  17. Trading for a proven guy would be huge. If Epenesa takes a step forward paired with a newly acquired elite pass rusher along with Hughes and Darryl Johnson and maybe even Addison should be very productive. Add in the double teams newly acquired guy would demand should help free up Oliver too
  18. I guess it depends on his price tag. Was he that good or benefitting from the other guys on the line? I didn’t watch him much minus one game he did dominate. I joke we have a bunch of #2 defensive linemen and we need a elite #1 so all our #2’s are freed up to make more plays. I hope Beane is floating our first round pick to these cap strapped teams trying to snag an elite pass rusher similar to how he got Diggs. Someone already signed up to an extension
  19. Ehhhhh Allen is here. There’s no trades involving him happening while he plays at this level. Not a big fan of these hypotheticals cause every system is different. We were a running team protecting an inexperienced raw quarterback the last couple years. Then we’re a lethal pass heavy team. Watson has never really had a run game in Houston so the stats are always gonna point his way. If we use just this year well they were losing a ton so his stats don’t tell the whole story. I don’t dislike Watson but I’m not a fan of what’s going on in Houston from him or the team. I’m happy with what we have.
  20. Pass rusher is #1 on my list. But if we’re being realistic here until we see buffalos cuts or restructures we already need to replace 3 starters and none of them are pass rushers or defensive linemen. So if we are going to use a large portion of our available cap on a defensive linemen who is starting at RG and RT? Who replaces Milano?
  21. Definitely a no on Tyrell for me. If we wanna get faster and stay healthy this is not someone you want.
  22. I definitely knew who Hyde was and I was excited for that one. If I remember correctly he played mostly slot corner in Green Bay. Poyer though.. I had no clue he could be a starter or who he was. I still don’t think he’s overly great (thought this year was definitely his best) but he’s been a solid starter.
  23. There are some nice players available too. With more on the way id guess. Mckenzie might have played himself into a nicer contract than we can afford. Which is also good for recruiting new players who want a chance to establish themselves
  24. It’s gonna be a lonnnnnnnnng offseason with all the expected cuts too. We’re already starting threads to trade assets for one of our strongest positions for a guy on the last year of his rookie deal that we’ll have to pay huge LT money. Yay not one, but 2 left tackle contracts 😂😂
