Breida barely played last year. Can only catch if you’re thrown to. Neither guys seen many targets. Breida does have decent hands though. Why didn’t Miami need his speed? He couldn’t crack their roster and was a healthy inactive most of the season despite them having barely no talent at running back and they were hurting for playmakers to catch the ball. Speed is great, but not if you can’t be effective. Breida is tricky because everyone in San Fran looks like an all pro. I am a little sketchy of a guy who couldn’t beat out Myles Gaskin, Ahmed whatever his name was, Patrick Laird.. Not a good look if you’re sitting behind those guys. He has upside of course and his speed is elite, but he’s got his work cut out for him

Did we sign Matt Brieda?
Rc2catch replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think so. All 4 Breida topics on the front page here say we did though. -
Can Moss and Breida not catch?
-
I don’t think many people will agree but he’s Yeldons replacement imo. Still gonna be Moss, Singletary and Taiwan active on gamedays. He will need an injury to get a chance, and he’ll have to do well to stay in the rotation after. It’s a great signing though

All-In This Year...Nothing Less For the Lombardi
Rc2catch replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But.. What if our front office thinks THIS team can win the super bowl now? What if they don’t agree with your logic? Then what? -
Yeah 400 snaps for that production is quite good. Especially considering he’s only played a few years and didn’t do peewee high school and college ball before going pro

They have Burns and Matos and Haynes already under contract. I think they’re in the market for help in other areas.

Under The Radar Pass Rush
Rc2catch replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They just signed the under the radar pass rusher. He’s not on any of the lists -
This could be a really huge under the radar signing. Bigtime breakout potential with this guy. The panther thing has to be one of the funniest jokes around but outside of that this is a really great signing when you’re talking risk/reward value/production

I thought for sure he’d get a better offer than that. Maybe he did and just wanted to stay but I 100% expected he’d get a multi year deal somewhere like Baltimore or Chicago. I don’t know anyone that could be upset getting him back at this price though.

I’m aware. I figured everyone would get the sarcasm when I included the Fromm trade. I was wrong coach.
-
Lemme check the ole budget.. We can offer $14.82.. But apparently Fromm has trade value now so let’s just trade him for Jaire Alexander. You know Green Bay loves having multiple quarterbacks on the roster

As one of those who was on the hype bandwagon for this guy I think we could of used him. If you don’t know who he is lol you apparently turned the Tennessee game off when they spanked us. He’s a small speedy guy who can return kicks as well. He has some breakout potential and I’d guess signed for minimum.

I’m actually a little torn on them. I think Saleh was the best hire and candidate out there. I think they are going to be one of the toughest teams in the league as far as playing physical. I don’t think Darnold is as terrible as he’s put on tape. Give him a strong run game and some play action and I think he could be in the top 15 range in the league. I think he stays. Even if they go quarterback at 2 I think they sit the rookie and let Sam finish his rookie deal out and take the lumps one more year.

Not Sure We Will Repeat as AFCE Champs
Rc2catch replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Injuries can change anything. If there’s not serious injuries to key spots we are still the second best team in the AFC until proven otherwise. I’m not sure how anyone could dislike this offensive line. The run game is a lot of rhythm and linemen don’t get into that rhythm when you only attempt runs 5-7 times a half. They were fantastic in pass protection though, and last I checked our best player is the quarterback. This isn’t fantasy football despite how many people act. You can’t just get any free agent you want by clicking their name. Sometimes it’s better to stay with what got you to the dance opposed to the shiny free agent that may or may not perform or gel with your team. Other teams in the east HAVE to spend to try and keep up with what we already have. Don’t fool yourself the other 3 east teams are playing catch-up to buffalos roster despite some of y’all hating half our players. -
They weren’t Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones, Andre Holmes bad though come on. Lot of young quarterbacks have done plenty with worse players. They just gave him a ridiculous amount of weapons for this season though, if he can’t do it this year he’ll never do it.
-
I actually blamed Nagy for most of it. He did not put his players in a good position to succeed at all. The wideout talent isn’t great but changing the scheme up he could of gotten way better production. The offensive line might of been the worst unit in football last year. Mitch isn’t elite, but he has some potential not unlocked imo

Lot of guys are gonna have to wait until the draft is over. Teams have limited space and prices are high. Once they fill the team out with rookies and draft day trades etc etc they’ll have a better idea of what they have to have
-
I think our roster is the ultimate against the trend team. Allen was a high risk pick with heavy odds to flame out. It’s always said you don’t build a team through free agency which we mostly have as gunner pointed out. Now imo is the most important time as you have to hit on some draft picks in the coming years to pair with our big money players.

Is Beane all but done with FA?
Rc2catch replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are going to be some really quality players left in free agency after the draft. Teams have limited space, they’re hoping to get their guys in the draft. Going to be tough for some guys to get jobs this year. Once the draft hits you’ll see some movement with some of these vets taking cheaper deals in fear of missing the season. -
[Incomplete Title] If we go Defense in Round 1
Rc2catch replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I take someone that’s available. But I can never know for sure until the first 29 picks -
I couldn’t tell if Stafford was shell shocked or Patricia just coached any guts out of him. Definitely two different players in stafford. Maybe just injuries too
