  1. The cost to grab an unproven rookie at one of the biggest bust potential positions is insane. We don’t even have the ammo to move that high if they wanted to. You’d have to give up Tre or Diggs or something plus picks to move that high. I know it’s the offseason and a bit of a boring time for football, but come on let’s at least use realistic scenarios if we are discussing fantasy
  2. I think we have fans who use stars absence as a bigger excuse than it was. The defense had to adapt and as the season went on they did. They had to get creative with the blitzes and personnel and I think it ended up being a good thing. Star is not going to make or break this defense. His contribution is going to be more for the run game as he’ll come off the field most passing downs. Our issue imo is mostly in the pass defense
  3. I think a lot of fans forget Siran Neal played safety in college and was drafted as a safety. Solid special teams guy but we’ve seen his speed on the field and he has some coverage skills. We are obviously adding more talent to the secondary but Neal and Johnson can fill in and play when needed along with their special teams duties.
  4. It’s pretty vulgar but I found the first couple seasons entertaining.
  5. If I’m being 100% honest I’m surprised there isn’t a ton more. Some of these guys are babies and have never done anything but play ball. Schools and agents and etc etc have held their hands and done everything for them. How many of these guys got free schooling and wouldn’t even attend their classes without constant supervision? Now they’re going to be paid life changing money and suddenly develop morals and respect? Don’t get me wrong plenty of guys come from good backgrounds and worked hard and did the right things or even made a few mistakes but there’s a pretty big majority that are just young entitled brats who think everything is yours if you just play good on gameday. Last chance U on Netflix was a tough watch for me. Any of you that have seen it these guys have all this talent but you get to watch them just destroy their chance at a career in or outside of football.
  6. Travis Henry is probably tops of my list. Ko Simpson too
  7. There are tons of guys left sitting around not getting any interest from teams. This was the impact of the salary cap being lowered. Top guys were always gonna get paid. Mid guys are hit and miss. Lower tiered guys with injury concerns will be lucky to snag a deal after the draft
  8. Yay another opinion piece summarizing the same ole same ole. Brandon Beane has more pressure deciding what to have for lunch than he does from the other east teams. Who cares how many draft picks anyone has? Every year you see teams blowing picks cause they can’t develop their talent.
  9. He’s been one of the worst runners in the league the last few years. He can catch, but it’s not like he’s elite as a pass catcher or anything. Nice run Gio, enjoy retirement after bouncing around a few teams this year
  10. These are my favorite threads. Poor @Jobot drops this doozy and disappears. Hopefully he can sort through all those ads and get signed back on later to see his 20 page thread again.
  11. I have never once seen an ad. That said this is my go to not just for buffalo bills news but a lot of news league wide. I think it’s kinda pathetic to throw stones over having to see an ad. @SDS you and the mods do a great job running this place. I can live with an ad if it’s needed to keep this place running as is. I have never seen one but I sure as heck wouldn’t be offended or crying and starting new threads about it
  12. This is not my favorite time of the year on this board 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  13. I think the Jets are going to be a real tough team. Run the ball, play solid D. They are gonna build the trenches which is one of my favorite ways teams build. They will not be an easy two wins every season. Their front office is a joke, but the next two years minimum there’s gonna be 50+ guys who will be ready to go to war for Saleh.
  14. Rhule is not the brilliant guy you are asking for.. Brady is the real mastermind over there. If he somehow gets production from Darnold he’ll be a head coach somewhere when the season ends
  15. Very well put. There is not many guys at quarterback in this league who could of taken that kind of beating year one. He was not ready, he did not have help, but he took the beating and must of lived in the film room, put on his cape and carried that entire offense.
  16. I think it’s a great acquisition for Carolina, but I also think their GM got fleeced. There is no way the Jets were starting year one under Saleh with a quarterback controversy. Darnold could of been had much cheaper at some point this offseason imo. That second rounder sticks out like a sore thumb to me. The guy is 100% shell shocked from the beating he’s taken the last 3 years. I haven’t written him off maybe he can recover with a decent offense, but Carolina still has a pathetic offensive line. Teddy is not great but I’m not even sure Darnold is an upgrade at this point.
  17. Don’t stop there. It’s fantasy land. Trade Edmunds and our first the next 3 years to Atlanta and move to 4. Then trade 4 to Denver for their 1,2 and next 2 1st rounders and Von Miller. Is this how you makeup unrealistic scenarios???
  18. Didn’t know we had this many chief fans on here. They do everything perfect. We do everything wrong. Gonna be a long season
  19. With pick #59 of the 2021 NFL draft the Cleveland Browns select..... Asante Samuel Jr, defensive back out of Florida state. Enjoy his versatility we think he can play slot and man the outside when needed. Next up is the New Orleans Saints at pick 60, @frostbitmic step up to the podium.
  20. Can’t say I like it, but I don’t recall using the stadium name very often.
  21. I hate how much draft capital Miami has. It’s almost impossible to screw up for them
  22. You gotta have that guy or you’re destined for mediocrity. Of course I prefer to trade those assets for someone proven but that’s not always possible. My nephew is a big Carolina fan, he hates the idea of giving up 3 first rounders and possibly more picks and maybe even a player on defense to land Watson. A debate we had lots of times before all these allegations came out. Carolina could easily not get a quarterback the next three first round picks even by using a pick each year. So for proven talent I don’t think it’s a terrible deal. Good teams can still build with less draft picks. When you’re getting into unproven talent similar to what the 49ers have done this year, it’s a monster gamble. I think most would agree San Fran has a super bowl caliber roster minus quarterback. But if they pick a bust in this draft their window is basically destroyed. Huge gamble.
  23. Booooooooooooooooo Booooooooooooooooo Pick another quarterback Jets. Take one every round just in case
  24. I like the black ones, only cause I’d like to see a black alternative uniform. Black and red is a favorite combo of mine
  25. I don’t hate the idea. It’s one more game check for players. Also possibly frees up more jobs on the practice squads. More games=more spots for reserves on the practice squads right? If it kills some of preseason that’s great as well. Less injuries in pointless games. I think the goal is obviously revenue, but also to make the last weeks more important. Extra week is just more possible drama deciding playoff seeding and draft position etc etc
