  1. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Epenesa was starting to look pretty good the second half of the season. My favorite thing watching him was his ability to get his hands up when the quarterback was about to throw and he wasn’t gonna get home. Sounds easy but not a lot of linemen are actually good at it. I think fans were really hard on him but we seem to discount the covid offseason as not a big deal, but I think it was tougher than we give credit for. Very excited to see this defensive line.
  2. Worst part of the offseason. People get so bored and want to rehash things that have been discussed a million times already. Chicago has a playoff defense, if the rookie can win a job or Dalton plays halfway decent they are in the playoff hunt NOT rebuild mode. Montgomery, Kmet, Cohen, Mooney, Robinson.. That’s a young offense with some potential if Nagy can remember how to coach offense. Its also a great time to sell your home in today’s market
  3. Didn’t Tyree Jackson just switch to tight end too?? I thought Philly signed him and Hakeem butler as tight ends. Plus Tebow. Lol everyone looking for those sneaky matchups.
  4. Well said. I couldn’t agree more. Remember we had Leodis McKelvin? How bad he was in coverage? As they added pieces to the D and Schwartz got that pass rush looking amazing, leodis looked like an all pro when Hughes, Mario, dareus and Kyle were getting home every play. After that he was basically never heard from again. Pass rush will 100% solve any issue with corner play we have, and on a side note pass rush will have Edmunds and Milano looking like 2 of the best cover linebackers as well.
  5. Wasn’t the whole point of Mitch coming here to rebuild his value and gain some great coaching behind the scenes? He doesn’t really have any value unless Josh gets hurt and Mitch plays and flashes. Trubisky could of landed a better spot where the path to playtime was easier. He’s here to learn and test free agency again for better opportunities. Beane could shop him but Fromm would have to be extremely impressive in practice and behind the scenes.
  6. I am in Tennessee, so a lot of my local games are Atlanta and I’ve suffered through quite a few games over the years, he plays tons of decoy snaps while injured. He pushes through but he’s hobbled almost every game and constantly is in and out of the game. He was great. Maybe the older dinged up guy is above average now but he can fall off the Father Time cliff at any moment.
  7. Julio has always been a touch overrated for me. Great player and all that but the guy is injured what seems like weekly. I could see a team like Green Bay wanting him
  8. I picked Addison but this is a really hard category to predict, it could seriously be 6-7 different guys. Addison is top 5 hated on here cause of his age and contract but I don’t think that many people have ever watched the guy before last year and just read his stat page when he signed here. Last year was fluky on a few levels but we 100% seen terrible defense the first half of the season and lots of guys not in their usual form starting out the year. I think given the talent we have on this line Addison will make a few big plays. The coverage on Obada breaking out would be really fun, but our best case scenario is one of these rookies is working out like crazy right now and takes the league by storm becoming the next young elite pass rusher for years to come.
  9. You keep Edmunds. As fans we are in such a hurry to cut ties. There is a massive chunk of fans who want him to move positions. I too agree he’d be a bigger threat around the edges opposed to up the gut. Regardless, at his age and skill level, it’s a no brainer to pay the 5th year option. People act like this is coming out your savings account. Paying him that one year is not stopping this team from making any moves they want. As we keep reading during free agency, the cap is a myth, the money is there if you’re willing to move around enough dollar signs. Give Edmunds the 5th year.
  10. Levi is the best success story I can recall in recent memory for any UDFA here. Before that I think was Robey. Most of these guys don’t want to sign here. As mentioned above we have a decently deep roster that’s tough to crack outside a couple spots. That’s not how it’s been the last 20 years. I only would like to add in this isn’t a sexy place for a rookie, Mcdermott loves him some veteran guys and we have seen throughout the years he will play a dead veteran before a young kid he don’t trust. If I am an UDFA the worst possible spot I could go is buffalo.
  11. Thank goodness we have a new thread on this.
  12. Lol I kinda agree. I wasn’t even very interested other than to see who we got. I think picking 30 sucks a lot of life out of it. Also sucks a lot of excitement out of the draft when you basically have your top 10 players and are not trying to get a game changing franchise player. We’ve picked top 12 or so for so many years we get better prospects
  13. I think probably the best assessment I’ve read on here.
  14. I’d say my worst take was on the Kiko and shady trade. I thought for sure I was correct that McCoy was about done. And I was a big Alonso fan. I remember telling Bills fans to have fun watching shady jiggle and dance behind the line with constant 3 yard losses, just so in the 4th quarter down 28-10 he can break off a big 50 yarder and pad his stats up. I never liked McCoy in Philly much. But he was the prize of that trade. I was also hugely supportive of Whaley sending a 3 or 4 can’t remember for Bryce brown in Philly. My skills once again voiced in my ear here’s a guy who is needing a chance and he’s gonna break out bigtime.
  15. I think Mac Jones could do quite well in New England. Of course I hope he bombs but I think he’s a good fit for their offense. Short pass game, lot of check down offense. I think they can be very effective with him being the game manager type
  16. I like our draft so far. Similar to years past we may be sacrificing some production NOW for growth and long term sustainability. They seem to really enjoy project players who have ridiculously high potential. We haven’t seen them groom many of these yet but some of these guys have really elite athletic traits.
  17. Thank you. You nailed it
  18. I think it’s a great signing for them. Clowney has shown flashes when he’s not the main guy. Having Garrett opposite him will be a big deal. I have never liked the guy much, he seems like a minimum effort player to me who only turns it on a couple times a year. But for Cleveland it wasn’t a big risk to pair him with Garrett. For us is a different story, he’d have to be the main guy here, and we can’t afford too many more misses on edge players. All that said I’d be shocked if clowney plays 8-10 games for them.
  19. We don’t even have the ammo to move in the top 5 area to get Pitts so quit dreaming guys. You’d have to include a blue chip player in that deal like white or Diggs to even get on the phone. Our guys on rookie deals haven’t really flashed enough to be big trade bait. We have a pretty stacked roster but we are gonna need this rookie class to produce and need their contracts in 3-4 years. If Beane has a guy who maybe falls to the 15 range cause of the quarterback run maybe he can swing something but even that’s gonna be pricey. Just have to trust the scouting department has done their jobs and you can get contributors the first 2-3-4 picks of the draft. The chances we are grabbing one of the elite blue chip prospects is next to nothing.
  20. I’ll leave the crazy talk out of it and just say my opinion that I do not agree. I support vaccines. I do not support forcing this specific vaccine on people to gather in public this fast. All I can see is 3-5 years from now on tv: Have you or a loved one had (insert complications here) from the covid vaccine, please call our law offices at xxx-xxx-xxxx you could be entitled to compensation. But I will not make too big of a stink over this because I wasn’t going to be attending any games this year
  21. Holy crap this thing is a mess lol. Virgil bless your soul trying to keep track of all this. I thought we tried to keep these kinda realistic in the past but maybe I didn’t pay attention to the trade one very much. Y’all are abusing the heck out of this. I blame Costner and the Draft Day movie 😂😂😂😂
  22. I think it’s about right, but I actually expect more in the guaranteed department.
  23. I was correctly corrected saying he has zero value and nobody would ever trade for him. As Beane seems to get teams to bite on unrealistic trades. That said motor might get a 6th rounder in return. His value is extremely low coming off a bad year.
  24. I wouldn’t do it. Once you enter the quarterback being paid period you’ll need all the draft picks you can get. Allen’s potential deal won’t hit for awhile but it would be nice to have those rookies under contract when it does hit. I don’t think it’s realistic to move up that much for a non quarterback move.
