Yeah in Miami last year and so far in preseason he’s being used as a traditional running back. Not his specialty at all. I hate to say it but he’s a Chan Gailey water bug CJ Spiller in space kinda guy. ( I might of 🤮 a little typing that)

This.. There was two players we wanted to IR, Feliciano and someone else. We wanted them available to come back from IR. We cut Marlowe and Andre roberts with handshake deals and brought them back once we put our guys on IR. We were all shocked we cut them at final cuts.
-
No I don’t think so. Otherwise everyone would IR tons of players and wouldn’t have to make cuts.
-
That will probably end terribly for said defense lol. That means you’re playing one on one with some pretty great receivers or leaving Breida uncovered.
-
Ok I thought that’s what you were going for in the OP. I just didn’t understand when I read it. So they just need a couple volunteers they can trust to cut and come back like Marlowe and roberts last year. I get what you meant now.
-
In this offense and Allen’s mid to deep level the flat will always be open. You don’t need Brieda to block. We run empty plenty. Motion him out and boom he’s got a linebacker or safety on him. With our weapons it’s easy money.
-
I expect they will be throwing tons of screens and extremely short passes.
-
But you can’t IR him until we make the cuts to get to 53 right? We had to cut roberts and Marlowe last year and sign them back to get mongo on IR.

Bubble wrap until week 1. Nothing left to prove.

I strongly disagree. You are looking at his value all wrong. When our starting offense is out there, and we run 4 receiver sets or 3 receiver and tight end, Breida is a huge mismatch out there, a 5 yard swing pass or checkdown can be a homerun. Our offense spreads out a ton. We are not doing that in preseason. If you want Breida to run 15-20 times a game and grind out some yards he’s not the one. But isn’t that what motor and moss are for? Breida in an ideal setup is getting 15 maybe 20 snaps and 4-5 touches. Change of pace. Homerun potential. Nobody else on this offense is a bigger threat to make a cut and be gone.

Im not sure exactly what you’re trying to get at here. We put those 3 on IR the whole season?

I doubt anyone is going to trade for Addison unless we see some big injuries to a contender kinda team. Someone like San Fran or Seattle might give up a late pick. It will definitely suck if we hold on to Jerry and Addison and they are gassed out by week 10, it will suck even more if we cut a younger guy who is starting to take off on another team around week 10.

Mitchell Trubisky's revenge PLUS Highlights
Rc2catch replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a few Chicago buddies.. That was a fun Facebook group chat lol. Brian Daboll is now #1 on their Nagy replacement list. They thought the scheme to dissect their defense was great. Made Mitch look like a star. Mitch apparently played with a confidence they have not seen in his time with Chicago. I didn’t watch him a ton with the Bears but I watched enough to know Nagy is not a good coach. I joked on Facebook earlier, square peg into a round hole with that guy. Daboll showed him up today scheming to Trubiskys strengths -

Kudos to you for the singletary comment. Not many people own up when they’re overly critical of players. -

I can’t even respond correctly, Mike Zimmer is not happy to be playing on the bills D line. -
That was a really impressive showing. Preseason or not, anytime your backups can go out and DOMINATE another teams starters you have a lot to look forward to. Mitch showed some skills in a good offensive scheme (shots fired at you Nagy) Rousseau shouldn’t even play the last game and go into bubble wrap. I think we will see a lot of our cuts on other teams 53 opening day. Let’s just skip Green Bay and go to week 1.

Yeah I don’t think he’s very explosive as a runner. The San Fran stuff I watched from him was monster holes to get through (of course) and a lot of stretch plays. But he was a legit threat as the check down guy there. If he gets up to speed before he makes the catch he’s pretty impressive in the plays I seen.
