I think Breida should 100% stay active and handle 10-20 snaps a game. He’s contributing on special teams as well. I would really like Daboll to put him in the McKenzie role on the jet sweep motion.

They match perfectly as our kryptonite. Big bodied receiver in Pittman who can catch everything thrown his way. Taylor running up the gut, Hines as the receiving back. Buckner manhandling the interior O line (the biggest issue in my opinion the pressure up the gut) Everyones favorite linebacker to compare edmunds to. It’s definitely gonna be to quote wrestlings Jim Ross a “slobberknocker”

I don’t think they are a huge threat yet. The defense is rounding into proper form for them. They are doing a great job protecting Mac and not asking him to do too much. They are having some success running the ball regardless of which of the 4 backs they use. Similar to us they’ve had a pretty cupcake schedule and their defense has made bad teams pay. They are not the pushover many thought they’d be.

Breida should have a role. Been arguing this all season. Not a focal point but a role

I don’t think it’ll be a big deal today but Indy and Taylor is a different story

He had good stats this year but what they’ll miss the most is all the little things he does for that offense. Mcvay lines him up everywhere and puts him in motion all the time. There’s plays where woods stays in to block like a tight end, clears defenders on routes for Kupp to get open, runs jet sweeps. We all obviously know his run blocking skills. I think this is a much bigger loss for their season than anyone is expecting right now. It can be argued easily Kupp never sees these stats without woods. Gonna find out the next few weeks. Have to think most defenses are going all in to stop Kupp even with OBJ there.

I like the idea of being able to buy just single team games, as long as I can watch buffalo and maybe redzone I’m good. Directv is fine but they really don’t make it easy to take my money. I gotta hassle all these random college kids online to get their info lol..

People lose sight of team building. Sure the Rams traded away a lot. But keep in mind they just cut Desean Jackson but right after Tutu Atwell went to IR. They have NO receiver depth outside the top 3. Signing Odell is a no brainer. They give up nothing and rent him for half the season.

We’ve missed you

While I love sanders and what he brings, I’ve felt since game one he’s become the focal point of our offense somehow. He seems to be the only guy they target deep on the majority of attempts. A lot of plays seem designed to get coverage on Beasley and Diggs to open sanders up. I do believe our main keys are of course the offensive line and the coveted McKenzie sweep. We rarely handed it to him, even rarer it seemed we threw it his way on those plays, but that extra second or so the defense had to take to make sure he didn’t get the ball might be the difference in the pass rush affecting the play. If McKenzie is too important as a returner to risk injury on those then somebody else needs to take over that role. Rather it’s Breida or sanders or whoever. I do agree with all Virgil’s points as well.

It’s embarrassing, but it’s not time to push the panic button. Lot of season to go. Lofty in season expectations may not be met, and I’ll be happy to trade the embarrassment of losing to the Jags if this bad stretch of play is eliminated now opposed to say the clutch games to get into the playoffs or even in the playoffs.

If we can’t have top 5 talent at every position that players got to be upgraded. There’s some pretty vocal posters on here that 100% believe that singletary is not an NFL running back. If he can’t make magic and break one in his 6-7 carries a game he’s trash. Plenty of flaws in players to debate but I never get why so many literally hate some of these guys.

He doesn’t have breakaway speed and can’t take one to the house. Until a nice big hole opens up and he takes it to the house like earlier this season. We could certainly do much worse than motor on this team. Najee Harris the most popular rookie runner just ran 22 times for 60 yards the other night. We won’t even run 22 times with two backs and Allen in a game. Now we want Gurley and kerryon who can’t make any roster or practice squad?

I’d still take Bruce all day everyday. Did we watch the super bowl and playoffs last year? The league is all shiny with explosive offense and skill players but come playoff time…… You better be able to get to the quarterback and you better be able to do it often. Even in todays NFL I still believe defenses win championships.

I fully agree on all that. When there’s wins half these guys are quiet and stay in game day threads for hot takes and over reactions. But losses, holy cow there’s the same 5-10 posters non stop on every thread pushing their agenda.

That’s my thinking. Our current group doesn’t have the speed to get to the edge. Rather Breida can turn the corner or not is a whole other debate, but if he does it’s probably a really nice gain. If we’re talking running Breida up the gut he’ll be injured before halftime

They didn’t sign Barkley cause they’re done with Darnold, he fractured his scapula or something and is gonna be out awhile. Pretty sure they’re stuck with Darnold next year at least his guaranteed salary anyways

I still stand by the thought that we don’t run enough. The line is struggling with pass protection and we just give up on rush attempts. Even if your backs are bad (I don’t think moss and motor are nearly as bad as they’re portrayed on here) you still have to show some dedication to the run game. Get the line in some sort of rhythm blocking. Pittsburgh couldn’t run at all last night yet Najee got 20+ attempts. They ran multiple jet sweeps and motions and had some success with it. We do none of that. We throw some outside receiver screens and run up the gut mostly where we are the weakest.

I don’t usually complain for officiating. Especially on missed calls. But this Pittsburgh Chicago game might be one of the most one sided I have ever seen.
