There is only one solution. We need more Johnson’s on this team. Jaquan, taron, Duke, if they add someone it’s gotta be a Johnson
-
Siran as well possibly. Decent amount of position flexibility for some of these guys.

As I said in the Micah Hyde injury thread. This is why you draft and develop. This is the EXACT situation. Hamlin and Johnson have been developing for years now. Johnson has been here 3 years in the film room and practice with Hyde and Poyer. He knows his job. He’s also playing for HUGE amounts of money. If Hyde plays all season Johnson is probably scrounging for a contract next year with barely no tape. Now he has a chance to play on an elite team and put out film for the league to see and get a contract next offseason. There is not an option available that will fit better than Jaquan right now. He knows the system, the players, the tendencies. Obviously they’ll address the depth or if they like what we have they’ll sign depth in another area.

Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)

Johnson has a chance to make some really serious money the next few months. He went from possibly struggling for free agent offers to possibly being a top free agent safety next offseason with some solid play. -
Well said. Anyone they pickup likely never reaches the knowledge and comfort level Johnson already has in this defense.

Hyde is a monster loss. But stop looking for a starter replacement. Jaquan has been here a long time. The fact people are acting like an upgrade is needed already is a little too extreme. Let’s see him play. There’s still 4 safeties on the roster if you factor in Siran Neal used to play safety. If you draft and develop this is the scenario you do it for. Speedy recovery Micah.. We will definitely miss ya. -
Oliver, Philips, Hyde all out against the Dolphins.

But who is playing the halftime show at the Super Bowl? -
I like the Rousseau picks.. We got a little preview of Rousseau playing DT against Tennessee, I think he got a monster sack from there. But I’m gonna pick Basham. He should see some extra snaps in the rotation, focus will definitely be on Von and Rousseau. He should get some chances to hit Tua. I wouldn’t hate Epenesa getting another shot at tua though either. Offense I’m gonna take Singletary. I think this is the week to establish a run game. Unless Miami starts putting up points I would hope to control the clock and keep Buffalos defense fresh and off the field as much as possible. Let’s feed motor 20 carries and work him into the short pass game and crush time of possession.

Got to try and remember not just football fans watch the Super Bowl. Tons of wives and kids are present who never watch a game all year. At least in my circle
-
Running the ball and having a better time of possession doesn’t mean Allen doesn’t throw or the team can’t score 40. And I don’t think it’s correct to call them the worst group in the league.

I think losing some guys is going to hurt in some fundamentals and possibly a few big plays we normally wouldn’t see. But it’s a zone defense, let’s stop pretending like Elam has to man up Hill for 4 quarters. Jaquan has been here in the film room with Hyde and Poyer for years now. He knows his job. Maybe they don’t dominate as they have the last two games, but the injuries should not be the difference in winning and losing imo. On a side note, maybe this is the week to run the ball, kill large chunks of clock and keep the defense off the field a little more. I highly doubt Miami is spending much time focusing on the run game for Buffalo.

Mitch is what he is. He needs his supporting cast to play at a high level. Pittsburgh is a mess. They can’t run with Najee, they don’t block well, now guys are dropping balls. I wouldn’t want to put Pickett in there.
-
Other than the silly fumble this offense seems to run better with the UDFA running back
-
I don’t think so, he had an injury but I don’t know if that’s an excuse. Clowney is out as well I didn’t see who started on the other side. I thought he’d be more effective tonight
-
Seems like 2-3 browns are open for every check down. Brissett just gonna 5 yard then to death tonight. Gonna finish 34-40 for 211 yards

I expected better defense. And I hope Grant Delpit comes to Buffalo at some point. I enjoy his style of play, I think Mcdermott could make him a star.

3rd and 1 with Chubb and hunt and you pass 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ There was a thread the other day about missing some of the feelings from losing years.. I change my stance, I don’t miss this terrible brand of football

Do you have a problem with fans standing the entire game?

I’m in Tennessee now.. If I’m gonna make a trip up there it’ll be when the new stadium is ready. I better start saving some money now lol -

I had an issue years ago when I brought my two very young nephews 8 and 6 to a game with the rows in front of us not only standing, but standing on the seats. Poor kids couldn’t see anything. I politely asked if they could sit or not stand on the seats, that didn’t go over well. Later I asked if they could just leave one seat open so the boys could see through. That time I was threatened by roughly 10 drunk guys and they continued on joking about what they should do to me. Couple minutes later one of those fine gentleman turned around and accidentally dumped his beer perfectly between my large chested girlfriends ummmm chest. He politely offered to clean it off. We stood at the top of the steps and were quickly told by security we couldn’t stand there. They did not care about the issues we had with our seats. And we left shortly after. It was a very long time ago. San Diego Chargers. Power went out. Phillip Rivers was throwing temper tantrums on the field over the play clock issues with no power. Last game I attended in Buffalo. Silly drunk fans at every game but I made a bad mistake of bringing very young children to their first game and they almost got to see their favorite uncle get beat up by 10 dudes. I’ll stick to watching on tv -
They have a pretty ugly slate of prime time games this week imo. I’m not too interested in any of them. This game… Steeler fans have already turned on Mitch, but for whatever reason Najee gets barely no hate at all and I’ve never seen him do much other than run for 2 yards and get tackled, or catch 100 check downs from Ben last year. Mitch is not Superman, he’s never going to put the offense on his shoulders and carry them. Run the dang ball and get some play action going.

Micah Hyde seeking 2nd opinion on neck injury
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s all speculation right? Just like your statement??? -
Buffalo seems to struggle to run effectively, however they rarely have enough real attempts to gauge if it’s effective. Moss gets all this hate but it’s not like he’s getting a ton of touches. He’s the perfect kinda back to soften a defense up. We will probably never find out what he’s fully capable of because he’ll probably never see 20 real carries in a game. Motor, dude makes the first person miss like 95% of the time. He runs hard, I don’t know how they keep taking him off the field. He’s effective everytime he touches the ball. Once again though he rarely has enough attempts to make any impact. Allen is clearly playing at an MVP level, they look unstoppable. I fully understand slinging the ball all over the place and keeping the ball in your best players hand, but it also doesn’t use much clock. As the season goes on and weather begins to turn, there’s going to need to be some balance. They will need a run game to milk a little clock against top tiered teams or the defense will be gassed out by the 3rd quarter even with the rotations. With the way the NFL is played, it’s not a terrible thing to milk a final drive 5-6 minutes to put a game away instead of all this last minute back and forth where defenses can’t stop anything.
