Boomer Esiason suggests the Bills should trade for Barkley
Rc2catch replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think he’s available in real life. At least not at a reasonable price. -
He was phenomenal in that game. That was Lamar’s MVP season I think when Baltimore was rolling everyone. Lawson really confused Jackson and he could not read him on a few occasions and the plays got blown up.

Pickett cannot help the issues they have. Lot of it is fundamental stuff. At least the Cleveland game anyways. In the 4th quarter they had a 3rd down false start trying to get them to jump. next drive 3rd down beautiful pass dropped by Dionte Johnson next drive 3rd down Najee completely wiffs on his block and Cleveland got an easy sack. Then they finally start moving the ball and get in the red zone and the guys don’t even hustle back to the line and they get a penalty for not being set before the snap. Add in their offensive coordinator is doing terrible and the players look to be quitting on him. They can’t block, Najee runs like a fullback… Unless Pickett has Josh Allen Superman capabilities I would never want to throw him into that mess.

I think it’s smart to get him back in against Pittsburgh. Their defense isn’t good without Watt. Brissett just played check down ball most of that game and every pass had 2-3 guys within 10 yards just wide open. Then every once in awhile toss something deep to keep ‘em honest. As for Mitch, he’s not lighting the world up over there but holy cow is he taking way more heat than he should. Their offense is a total disaster and most of it is out of his control and not his fault

NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Get outta town, really?? What about the independent neurologists at games whose only job is to watch for players possibly concussed? Team doctors can’t overrule the independent neurologist when it comes to the concussion protocol. So once again how would Miami be on the hook for Tua not entering the concussion protocol or being cleared if he did enter? -
I wish they were in the same division. Diggs on Diggs crime.. I wouldn’t mind seeing buffalo beating up on the cowboys twice a year.

Update: Xavier Rhodes signed by Bills

So if the secondary gets healthy, or maybe before then he will be on the whipping boy list on here. -

Yeah I’d rather have the vet myself. But it’ll probably just depend on what kinda shape he’s in. Or if he can get in game shape in just a few days. -

I’m not sure he’ll get the call this week. But I guess that depends if they even have enough bodies. I would expect at least a week of practice before activating him. -
Other teams stick with the balance even if it’s not working. Unless they go down big on the scoreboard. Buffalo never even trailed until midway through the Miami game. They crushed Tennessee. Other than padding Allen’s stats they should have worked more on the run game with the starters in there. Im not advocating for them to run non stop every week. Just one game to see if they can really make it work. I’m not looking to take the ball out of Allen’s hands long term. And a lot of the run calls are trash. They just did the slowest RPO or maybe read options ever against Miami. It got blown up so fast each time I’m not even sure what it was supposed to be.

Keep blaming the backs and line.. But they are bottom 5 in rush attempts if you take allens attempts away. Sometimes the run doesn’t work or it takes a bit to get going. Cleveland or San Fran and some of these teams don’t just abandon the run game cause they don’t light it up after 6-7 attempts. The line and backs need to get into a bit of a groove. We all used to hate run,run pass and the predictability. However buffalo didn’t have a quarterback or offense you’d feel comfortably being in a 3rd and 7 or something back then. That’s not the case anymore. I would love to see a game where they line up in a traditional set under center and pound out a solid 20 attempts in a half. I get Allen is an MVP and the best player on the team. And they’re capable of putting up big points and blowing someone out. But what good is that if you can’t balance things out when you really need it. I don’t wanna hear about how slow singletary is, or how moss falls down every 3 yards when he’s touched. Nobody is going to convince me buffalos 3 backs are worse than Jeff Wilson, or Khalil Herbert, or mark Ingram who is like 70 in running back years. Buffalo simply doesn’t have the attempts or willingness to stick with it.

Philly only unbeaten after Thursday. 17-0?
Rc2catch replied to 1onemangang7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll probably have it stuck in my head for awhile. But when the clock hit 00 and they knew the won, seeing Melvin Ingram just collapse on the field completely exhausted really summed up their day for me. -

They should after the minutes miamis defense played. I can’t imagine any scenario where they aren’t totally gassed out by the second half with such a short turnaround -

Hurts looks to have taken a step forward. Defense is on fire. I don’t know about undefeated but I wouldn’t want to play them right now. They can beat you up in a lot of different ways. -

I think it’s fair to say the entire front 7 is playing pretty great. And they are all playing very aggressively. One of the baffling reasons to call the dogs off on 3rd and long plays. Let them attack.

I don’t think he’s gonna be turning back the clock much, but they do need experience. If he’s close to football shape he should be able to contribute -
Why exactly are we favored by 3.5 in Baltimore?
Rc2catch replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not sure they are that injured. Stanley the LT I think is still out. Lot of injured guys coming back with Dobbins and Humphrey and Peters. They lost some other guys but I don’t know they were big contributors -

Their offense is playing well. They did have a good defensive game against Mac but I seen they’ve given up like 1400 yards in 3 games to the Pats, Jets and Dolphins. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forfeit?? What? This is worthy of a cmon man!!! I could be wrong but I’m under the impression Concussions are dealt with by an independent doctor not the teams doctor. So that doctor in charge would be on the hook. Did Tua ever actually enter the concussion protocol?? Once again that’s not the teams decision, that call comes from above. They call down and pull players off the field all the time. You should be embarrassed to actually ask for a forfeit in this situation. -
I was begging before the Miami game to finally slow things down and really focus on it. They controlled the clock like I wanted but they did it passing. Hindsight I would have preferred they sat Davis and maybe even Knox if he wasn’t 100% and just ran it until either Miami got a decent lead or until they figured out how to get in a groove
-
Because they don’t run 25+ attempts a game like Dallas does. There are other reasons I’m sure others will voice their opinion on. But it’s hard to get hot when you only run once every 15 plays or so.

Who Do The Bills Sign At Cornerback?
Rc2catch replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would have expected once Benford went out that either taron or Siran would have moved outside and the other in the slot. Just based on experience. But after Kumerow went down maybe they just were short on special teams guys. I fully agree with what he was paid and his experience in Buffalo he should be hitting the field for actual defense. -

I think Neal is Tarons backup and of course his special teams value. Maybe they just didn’t want to risk him being hurt in case nobody else can backup taron. But it is concerning he didn’t see the field, I do know anytime I’ve seen him play outside he’s been pretty bad.
