  1. Yes sir!! I will climb off the high horse at your orders sir. Thank you
  2. Anderson stuck on Carolina through a lot of playoff teams and I think their Super Bowl appearance and was paid quite nicely as a backup, with Cam running and always taking a beating they were very comfortable with Anderson. To me that’s enough to say the guy knows the quarterback position and how to prepare for games. Which is all we are looking for in a “mentor” Allen is supposed to be the franchise guy. Doesn’t matter who the backup is, if the backup is forced to play for an extended period of time most of the time the season is doomed anyways. Yeah yeah Foles etc etc but that was more a fluke than common scenarios in today’s NFL. Anderson is exactly the type of guy the bills needed and should of had the day they drafted Allen. Not McCarron or peterman. Hes zero threat to take the starting job, knows the ins and outs of team travel, being punctual for meetings, how to watch and learn from the film room. You don’t have a career as long as he’s had without knowing all the behind the scenes and being successful with it.
  3. This is why we need to institute some sort of IQ test before being able to start threads. Or a mod approve before they’ll show up. More wasted space on the first page.
  4. The money attracts the free agents. In this day and age the only thing that would scare players off is ridiculous instability like the browns had for a few years. The Bills look to have coaching and managerial stability for the next few years, a young and upcoming roster. Who is gonna turn down a big payday? You have some players chasing a ring who have already cashed in bigtime and will sign a little cheaper for a contender and players looking for their first and maybe last real guaranteed contract. The notion players don’t want to play here needs to go, it’s all about that guaranteed cash, highest bidder wins 90% of the time
  5. If I’m taking over after game 1 I would resign. Nobody could of done anything to save this season. The only way this season could of been sniffing the playoffs is if the run game on offense was unstoppable and controlled the clock like crazy. With that said I like the fun side to this thread, so I’m gonna wheel and deal with my madden skills. Im trading shady and my 3rd round pick to Pittsburgh for Bell, who will proceed to blow out his knee in the first game cause he wasn’t in game shape. Sending kelvin benjamin to Dallas for a 6th round pick, where he suddenly cares and scores on red zone targets almost every game. I am resigning Reily cause we gotta give the people what they want. Cut him two games later cause he’s hurt and isn’t actually a good receiver. Im playing Nate EVERY SINGLE GAME until he has a good game or breaks his neck, sit back and watch Josh.. Next year is all yours after I’m fired
  6. Well thank you. The point was franchise quarterbacks don’t pass through multiple teams without any of them identifying them as starting caliber. Romo spent his whole career with Dallas and Warner didn’t pass through multiple teams before catching fire with the Rams. Barkley has been with how many teams? They all missed his starting potential? Never seen Romo or Warner signing with 3-4 teams, getting a few spot starts and then let go
  7. So you found 2 out of???? 1000’s?
  8. How can you say that? Is it impossible Zay could not have the same kind of impact and stats as JuJu or Kupp if he was in Pittsburgh or LA? Better stats? I’m not saying he’s as good, better or worse than those two.. However the situations on those teams is quite different. And two years in Zay hasn’t exactly peaked or reached his possible potential. Judging the trade up this fast is a little premature. Grading a draft pick on one of the worst passing offenses in the league vs 2 picks from some of the best passing teams in the league seems a little unfair.
  9. One bad game and these posts will all turn to vile hatred lol. Shows how bad our quarterback stats have been 200+ yards with 2 tds and the board is on fire for Barkley threads
  10. The Bears started him a few games and despite throwing 300 yards multiple games (as the announcers said 1000 times) he didn’t look that good. Capable backup type quarterback, surely zero starting potential would be my guess. Starting caliber quarterbacks are not free agents and let go from multiple teams and found in free agency. Maybe a team could miss, but no way multiple teams miss.
  11. Daboll and McDermott seems to get a lot of hate on here for being so conservative and erratic. i think this game shows what they’re about much better. That they are not scared to gamble a little when the offense is not completely limited. I chalked up a lot of gameplans and conservative calls this season on the offense just not able to execute basic simple routine plays. Yesterday Barkley gave the team a spark they needed and the coaches seen them actually be able to execute things on offense, so they worked in more and more things. It was nice to see they can actually run a competent offense when the weapons produce and the group executes plays and sustains drives
  12. Make sure to change the settings on your madden to include a trade deadline
  13. Let’s not get carried away. This team doesn’t show up every week
  14. Lol that dude was never getting fired this season or offseason. His job has always been safe
  15. Rivera is a pretty good coach, also Marvin Lewis despite the playoff failures. Tomlin. Harbaugh. Just off the top of my head, quite a few super bowl appearances there
  16. Since it’s used so much as “mistakes” this regime has made, let’s use the Carolina connection. Once they got Cam and Kuechly the rest of the pieces fell into place. Other than mccafrey this year and Olsen they always have mid level talent surrounding most of those guys. Not blue chip prospects but mid round drafted talent. They are a threat to win the division and playoffs every year. They do that by drafting and developing mid level talent and signing low budget free agents mostly. We can all agree I’m sure cam isn’t a very great quarterback and when Kuechly is out their defense is pretty trashy, but that’s the same blueprint these guys are using. Not sure why it’s not talked about more, stop looking at KC and the Rams that’s not what they’re trying to build. It could progress into that with a few major hits on receivers in the draft but from where I am sitting I see the same blueprint of roster building as Carolina. The nice take from that is our secondary is already built better than anything Carolina has put on the field for the most part. As others have said though all of these moves, all of these mistakes all fall on one player. Josh Allen. Like him or not your next 3-5 years of buffalo bills football/success revolve around what that kid can do. Personally I think Daboll has called some great games with the lack of talent. Receivers get schemed open, they drop the pass or the QB never sees them. They get a successful run, holding penalty to bring it back. You can call all the plays you want from home, but if the players can’t make the plays what’s the point? At one point he dummies down the playbook as much as possible and these dudes still can’t run it with success. What more can the guy do? Continue to coach up the young guys for next year and scout what talent is available to improve. If you wanna see all kinds of motions and great formations go watch KC, they have the weapons and talent to do those things.
  17. I think the short sighted gents and ladies on here need to calm down a little bit. This season blows.. We knew it would. They ignored the offense. Yes. Basically on purpose. All their plans have not worked out, understood. But with the cap and draft next year (I know the 10 picks don’t mean much since the extras are later rounds) there is no reason these guys can’t upgrade the talent all across the board on offense. No matter your hate, frustration whatever the ENTIRE organization and their success is all on Allen developing. Beane and McDermotts jobs are linked to Allen’s success. Firing anyone now or in the offseason is just not good. You can argue maybe crossman Castillo or Frazier. But the others should be safe. In the end, this is either a playoff contender for years to come, or another rebuild in 3 years.
  18. I’m totally on the fence when it comes to McDermott still. I got enough patience to give it one more year and see how they manage the roster and new talent. And as I said on other replies I’ll take anyone over Tyrod. His last 2 seasons here I have never been more frustrated watching a player. Good guy, hard worker, but not a quarterback in this league. Yes I know Nate is not a nfl quarterback as well.
  19. To me it’s the same exact thing, only difference from last year to this year is shady can’t run the ball. Other than some exciting runs to pickup first downs every once in awhile I don’t even think the team wins more games with Tyrod. We all know Peterman ain’t nothing special, and should probably be out of the league now. We all know Anderson is a washed up vet with zero potential to do anything special. With allen out this is what we got. Plenty of teams with waaaaaaay more talent on offense are going to suck hard if their starter is out. Green Bay was pretty loaded with talent last year and they were quite pathetic while Rodgers was out. Brett Hundley couldn’t do squat for them.
  20. After last season I will pull Jeff George out of retirement to play quarterback over Tyrod.
  21. Maybe Beane went ROGUE and hired Daboll without McDermott’s approval ??
  22. You did. Lol I’m not saying he’s a better player or nothing like that.
  23. I’d still take him over Tyrod, poor Nate is shell shocked. His careers over as well. Nobody recovers from his disastrous start to his career. But the last two years of Tyrod were more frustrating for me to watch than this train wreck we have this year. Apart from the 3 exciting plays he’d make with his legs every game I’ve never hated a quarterback more than Taylor. Good guy, hard worker, just made me wanna rip my hair out every single game.
  24. Oh my.. Taylor was lights out in Cleveland for sure. Can’t believe we let him go and only got a 3rd. Lol his career is probably over after his sh** show for the browns this year, he looked pathetic. I will take Nate and his picks all day over a guy too scared to even throw the ball
